I've been drinking garlic water for a year. Then my family told me that I started having garlic smell coming out of my pores. I can't smell it myself. So I stopped drinking it. I do eat 1 avocado smashed with salt and fresh garlic and apple cider vinegar on it every day though, because it's delicious. I eat raw garlic whenever I get a scratchy throat and it goes away quickly. I used to get tonsillitis several times a year, not anymore since I started using fresh garlic.
Kind of a dumb question: How do you consume it? I'd crush it a bit at first, of course. But do you just chew it up so that it properly hits your throat?
@@susannay.3437 Yes, for a sore throat I chew it up, or eat it mixed with avocado, salt and ACV. I use 3 garlic cloves in that case. The water mixed with crushed garlic goes down too fast in that case. Another great remedy for a sore throat is Organic oil of wild Oregano. One trop into the mouth and it burns like hell but it helps quickly. When I had Covid, I had the worst sore throat of my life. The doctor gave me some pain killers for it which did nothing at all. But the Oregano oil and garlic helped so much. This will be forever my solution for sore throats from now on. Which I haven't had in a long time.

Hi Ryan, Love the video, it’s brilliant advice and recipes for taking garlic.. But with the negative aspect of garlic with its pungent smell on one’s breath and even through our pores... is it possible to take a ‘Odourless’ Garlic Supplement, and would this achieve the same benefits or not? Thanks.
I would also very much like to know this. I take a good quality odourless garlic supplement every morning and am thinking of switching to a Black Garlic one.
Hi Gary, thank you. I understand as I hated garlic for most of my life until the last few years where I've gained a taste for it. But the smell can be problem still. The odourless garlic supplements do not have the same effect unfortunately. When they process the garlic to make odourless pills, it loses it's chemical composition. The strong smell comes from the allicin, so without the smell, you get less off that beneficial compound, unfortunately. However, aged garlic (black garlic) is less pungent and still contains many powerful properties. 💚

Hi Ryan! Love your channel! On topic though...some time ago, I found a raw garlic/raw organic honey recipe. If I remember correctly, peeled raw cloves are put in a jar then honey is poured on them to cover completely. The lid-covered jar is then set aside for a specified amount of time. Anyone heard or know of this? 🤔
Absolutely, this is a method of fermenting garlic cloves in honey. This preserves them and keeps them fresh. You can just wash off the honey and eat 1 or 2 per day.

You don't have to. But some of the key ingredients in garlic are fat soluble. So using some fat like olive oil with it, helps to trigger bile in your intestine which helps you absorb the beneficial compounds from the garlic. 💚
