Driveway maintenance with Kubota B2601 and PJ dump trailer. A hilly gravel driveway is a never ending job. Time to get things leveled out before winter.
Love that tilting trailer, Adam! You might want to try a land plan if you can get your hands on one. I was really impressed when I borrowed my neighbor’s. Nice job with your B2601! -Ed
Our road was the low point of the land. I used my rear blade, put a severe tilt angle to it and made ditches on either side of the road then used those spoils to crown the road.. It ended all the washout. Also gave a place for the snow to get pushed to. Looking good.
First couple snows of the year I always let lay. Drive over them and pack that snow down. Then once I had enough where I didn’t dig gravel plowing was better. However with that slope that could get icy and dicey I assume.
Hey Pete. You nailed it. If I don’t stay on top of it as soon as it snow the hill turns to ice and then it’s 4x4 only getting up the driveway. To make things worse it’s a north facing slope so the sun doesn’t have a chance to do it’s work.
