Weight makes a difference. These things move more spritely over the vt 5.0s purely because the vt’s are so… you know, “portly” 😬

There's something special about a 5L, but I'm content with the stock supercharged 3.8L in my VS Calais. It doesn't need to be the fastest car in the world but it has enough power to get me out of trouble.

Holden 5L are one of the best sounding V8s with the right exhaust.. hell, even the wrong exhaust sounds great ! I've owned 4 thru the years and would love another only downside is what a pain in the ass to do a cam in versus an LS.

Xr 67 289 now that's a car. Grew up in one and loved the shit out of the experience, especially when the heater hose let go and the old man flattened his foot home around the corner from the bottlo, fucking spun her up all the way home lmao

I'm looking at a s1 vt ss. There us some bad rust where the boot drains. And even a small hole in the frame rail. Any idea if that is not repairable?

@@danielnieuwenhuize8959 definitely repairable, and at least it’s not where paint and panel work needs to be done. If unsure I’d get it inspected

@commodoreman1 definitely want to get inspected. Sadly it's in a small ish town. I'll see what I can do, been my dream to own a 5 litre, but I won't let myself buy a lemon. 184k kms, semi low heaps of life left

might want to chuck some motion lotion in that old gurl lol. IMO "Difillipo" make the best and i mean THE BEST sounding exhaust for VN-VT 5ltrs...Trust me you wont be dissapointed
