Ya should have a big smile on ya face bro everytime ya drive it, and great that ya put all the vids up on the tube, so people like me and others can learn 👌,
Looks bloody good mate. You should be proud of yourself you done an excellent job you’ll get good service out of that for many years. If I was you I’d run a straight Valvoline SAE 30 running in oil for the first 3000 k’s
Cheers much appreciated. I now have around 2000kms on it already, driving the wheels off it. Did an oil change pretty much after 10 mins of run time. Another after 1000kms. Using Penrite hpr30.
@@Joedennett69 I forgot to mention have a look at a product called FilterMag. It’s a magnet that goes on the oil filter that’s reusable and it catches all the fine shit very well worth it. I’ve run them for years There’s generics around these days, but the original brand is about 80 bucks US I suppose
@@Joedennett69 keep using the HPR30 its good stuff! 👍 our Vagisil brand oil here in aus is garbage. I Wouldn't put it in my hard rubbish picked 4 stroke push mower. 😁👍
It is, soon to be adressed. It has low springs in the back and standard v8 ones in the front. If i put the low 6cyl springs in the front it would be on the ground.
How much did the whole swap cost and how long did it take? I am interested on possibly getting a VR/VS commodore and v8 swapping it. What tools did you need for it as well?
I got a real good deal on a donnor car. Not many left. But all up to do the swap and freshen the motor probably cost me around 4-5k. I did the engine over about a month or so and the swap i did full time for around a week.
Everything costs money. 4-5k is cheap for what i did. It will be different depending on many factors. I probably put 1k into the motor. As for tools just sockets and spanners, and a engine hoist. Try and plan as good as you can. The rule i use is what ever i estimate to spend, double it. Same goes for time.
