I live in the UK and have been privileged to drive this route on a number of occasions as far as the Hwy 93 turn off. Scenery to take your breath away. Fond memories and, hopefully, to be repeated later this year. Thanks for a great video.
It's really one of the spectacular and scenic drive that I have ever watched. Much appreciated for all your time, efforts and money in sharing this wonderful video. Many thanks. Best regards, Nassa
Great drive. Beautiful and treacherous. Just did Vancouver to Cranbrook BC two days ago. The passes from Grand forks to Creston are really really scary. Not sure how the truck drivers do this with such speed. Interesting drive. Thanks for sharing your experience.
that really must have been one heck of a long drive, at least 620 Miles total, looks like the vehicle did Extreamly well, espicially like you said you slapped on a brand new set of snow tires on, plus you were towing that long trailer behind it, may I ask what kind of vehicle you were driving here back then?????
Fantastic drive and even with the trailer attached, tthose Brand new winter tires looked liked that they did one heckl of a job on those roads,, the one thing I wanted to ask you is, even though this video is about 3 and a half hours, looked up on google maps Calgary to kelowna, and it say to drive from Calgary to Kelowna, it should take about 7 hours and 9 minutes with a distance of 605 KM's which is about 375 miles.....so if you dont mind me asking, did you actually do the whole trip in those 3 and a half hours as per the video states???? Thanks
Salt is only effective to around -18 C and they use sand and a mixture of gravel and salt. Some places use a liquid anti freeze type of stuff on the roads only if the asphalt is visible.
