Modern-day truckers are the last of the cowboys and a vital asset to our nation and our economy. This is a small tribute to those hardworking men and women.
I am now a 19 year old truck driver and am living the truck life. Thank you truck drivers for giving me this opportunity and I'm very grateful to be one of you guys. 😎😎😎
I so miss my HIGHWAY COWBOY!!! I lost my husband on October 3, 2014. He drove for over 30 years and logged millions of miles with no accidents. He was my night & shining armour! Life will never be the same again. I get so choked up when I see a rig, and especially hearing the air brakes. Our 3 children would jump & run to go meet Daddy when they heard those air brakes coming down our country road and they would wait as he backed that rig in next to the old farmhouse he was raised in and we raised our children in. Crying now gotta go, keep rollin & as my husband would say "Keep the shiny side up" 😢
I love this song!! I have 2 long haulers, my son and hubby, so proud of them both!! Trucks move this country!!! I send my thanks to each of you for the hours, days, weeks and months spent alone on the big road. Truckers life is no glamorous life. It takes special men and women to do the job, it is not a job for a (insert word here) and there is a hell of a lot more to it than sitting in a seat driving. Hats off to the steel riding cowboys !!!!
My dad drove 40 years God rest his soul now.. and I followed in his footsteps iv been driving 24 years now and still get chills when I crawl up in that rig and get her going on a trip
You can still play the old school way. But elogs will change that. Hey at least my old trucks are now worth more $$$! Anyone noticed the renewed popularity in gliders? If you have to ask what that is, you ain't been playing this game long enough. Blue def, elogs? No we won't be doing that! Siri, Alexa or some little black box isn't going tell me, when it's time for nappy time. It was always impossible to do! But we just did it anyway. Most of the REAL drivers are dead or close to it. But it is about safety! Look at what we have out there now! Swift would be a good example..
it hasnt changed much in my 29years of the local dump trucking scene- we look out 4 each other everyday, and try to out think john E law with our CB chatter , elds sounds like a disease to me, daily trip checks- nope! i kick a tire every few weeks, my boys let me know if i have a light out- as we run around our slow paced rat race! now watch my channel and see how i roll! click my icon pic! just custom built my new rig! 29 years 200miles a day ,32 gallon a day, average 26mph every day on the clock, different job daily to keep it interesting - never by the load or paid by how much i do just sayin! freakin love it! join the old skool outlaw truckin scene and make $ no BS! now watch my S%&^! 1000 clips up on my channel real truckin stuff! OVER!
May his soul rest in peace and may he watch over you while you next to haul ass down these highways brother and dont be surprised if you see him sitting in your passenger seat one day he'll always be with you
3rd generation trucker here and love what the hell I do and proud of those that laid the foundation before me thank my pops and grandpa and everyone else that had a hand in it before me
@@jneff7939 Thanks I wasn't aware of all these regulations. I am from Europe and I always thought that you are pretty unregulated. Here in Europe for example all the drivers are treated like garbage although this is such an important trade.
You guys really don't get the respect you deserve. People take y'all for granted. They don't realize that if every truck stopped in America for a week. They wouldn't have clothes, Your house car gas or food. The list goes on and on. So take time to thank a trucker for keeping America rolling. GOD BLESS YOU GUYS
I proposed this song to my girlfriend Victoria and she just cried her heart out. SHE LOVED IT!!!! We are now both happily married!!!! If my parents were still here, the would have been very proud of me. For my 19th birthday, I'm going to the cemetery to put this song on for my parents to hear
I may only have an F250 with a paddle shift, but I'm always driving that truck, thinking, 'maybe someday I'll be moving a Kenworth or Peterbilt.' Y'all truck drivers are amazing; without you guys we wouldn't have most of the stuff we take for granted.
I am only 22 but grew up on smokey and the bandit. They were what got me into trucks. I wanted to be a truck driver but now I'm a diesel mechanic instead. I love the older manual trucks, especially the ones drivers fix up really nice
Hey I'm 19 years old and I'm wanting to drive a truck I've got truck driving in my blood my grand pa was a driver and my two great uncles are drivers and I love them big wheels.
I’ve been driving for 5 years and realized that it is a dying breed. We need more old school trucking and less new day eld. My father drove for many years. It is a lifestyle change. But it’s one I don’t want to give up. I tell those who know me, it’s one mile at a time and it’s how we live. One mile at a time. Drive safe everyone and hopefully one day we can return trucking to what it was. That’s what I remember and that’s what I try to do.
I love a good ol extended nose peterbilt! I remember riding with my dad in his yellow extended nose. Respect for all the men and women who drive these highways.
I am a truck driver, I am retired now but the Title Truck Driver is not given to you, you have to earn it and anything you worked for is yours forever. I started in '86 and drove for 18 years I was 2 days past my 21st birthday when I hit the road with a friend that taught me how to drive. RIP Six Pack
I jam this when i roll up into the iowa 80. Open the windows and crank it. Sounds great on my kicker 15’s. Everytime i listen to this song and tony justice’s brothers of the highway it makes me rethink that week off at the house. Been out this time for 2 months this stretch and still got another 2 to go. I love this job and this way of life. Too bad im stuck in the wrong decade. The 80’s and 70’s would have been super fun!
Not a trucker but I love blasting this riding down the highway at night watching all the truckers with the chicken lights shining bright running down the sunrise. Rolling’ like Jesse James! Almost makes me want to quit my desk job!
I went food shopping today... and none of it would have been there without all of you pulling the freight. Thank you for all that you do, the sacrifices you make, the long nights, the hard days... and putting up with dispatch pissing you off at every turn. Thank you for what you do and keep rollin', cowboys!
thanks for the music! my friend is trucker, he drives a 40-ton truck every day across germany and across europe. We trucker women live in constant fear and always pray for a happy return home. All truckers always good ride!
I miss the freedom I had over my 2 million miles but now I operate a pressure washing business here at home time with my wife and kids can't be replaced but I made my laps around this nation running 3 log books to keep rolling for weeks at a time you can't truck like that anymore
We gotta fight the E-Logs and protest against them big corporations. How wish all the truckers will come in one and stop hauling for a day or two, to prove that without us America can’t go on.
the best way to fight the elogs is go strictly by the book everyone has too. The only two ways to get Washington to listen is join to join OOIDA and log it 1005 the way the dot rules say do it. That means when you are at the shipper and receivers waiting to get loaded and unloaded log it like its suppose to be On duty not driving. I know that will take money out of most truckers pocket it did mine at first. by doing that within a week or two when the economy starts slowing down and the big companies start complaining to congress. Congress will start calling OOIDA and wondering what the hell is going on demanding answers. OOIDA will tell them "Hey look they are all obeying the regulations YOU all put in play Its up to you to change it and here are some suggestions" . Plus right we have a man in the White House that will listen to the working men and women especially those that are in trucking. Im an old trucker with 1.8 million logged solo miles under my belt. I wish I was still out there drivin myself and ty for keeping America moving
Good afternoon friends. Here in Brazil, we also honor our truck drivers, we share this noble feeling. Congratulations on the honor and God bless all truckers across America. 🙏🏼
My new get up and get a rolling song. Used to be my life is a highway. But this song and the video takes me back to the better days of trucking and my cat powered W900
We ride across these planes and prairies Rocky Mountain heights Fade off into the distance Like ghost riders in the sky Black smoke and white lines Steel horses side by side It's more than just our living Y'all It's our way of life We're the last of the cowboys Giddy up goin' boys 18 Wheels on the concrete It's slowing down to breath Rolling like Jesse James Modern-day outlaw game If you're out here riding with me Come on back and make some noise We're the last of the cowboys It's a family tradition Diesel is running through our veins Daddy showed us the ropes We were born in the fast lane Branded by our heroes Taught to saddle up and move We keep this country rolling We're damn proud of what we do We're the last of the cowboys Giddy up goin' boys 18 Wheels on the concrete It's slowing down breath Rolling like Jesse James Modern-day outlaw game If you're out here riding with me Come on back and make some noise We're the last of the cowboys Third time generation Little old school salvation Place some thills across this nation From sea to shining sea We're the last We're the last We're the last of the cowboys We're the last of the cowboys We're the last of the cowboys Giddy up goin' boys 18 Wheels on the concrete It's slowing down breath Rolling like Jesse James modern-day outlaw game If you're out here riding with me Come on back and make some noise We're the last of the cowboys! modern outlaw game We're the last of the cowboys We're the last of the cowboys Got them from a site no clue if they are accurate tried making edits to best of my ability
This is a perfect example of trucking as it use to be. now we have 30 day trainees driving automatic transmission Volvo' S. if they don't have an app for it on their phones, they are lost.
WoooHooo! A rare breed. Radical rigs, man! Loved it! You sure know when it’s in your blood. “You can take the man out of the truck, but you cannot take the truck out of the man”. That’s what I say! My daddy started trucking in the 30s and we’re still in it today. Fantastic job! Porter Dude out....
Mad respect for all you Steel Riding Cowboys/Cowgirls no matter how many wheels you rollin... Rubber side down , shiny side up...Be Safe and we Love you ! Thank you
The years i spent behind the wheel of my kenworth were the best of my life i miss it everyday my idea of heaven is sitting up behind that wheel pushing freight god bless everone of my brothers of the highway!!!
I was listening to this song a lot when I was making a C class drivers licence (for vehicles above 3,5 tons with up to 9 seats) 1 year+few months ago and it always got me hiped up.
Damn every time I see this video it makes me feel so proud to be part of this supplying America I know you guys out there sacrificing your sleep I'm bad night of driving when you feel like a zombie haven't slept for two or three days and you got there and you deliver proud of everyone out there God bless stay safe thank you for doing what you do amen
Man, most drivers all claim they run legal, but well, I left salt lake, running to portland in the winter... Cattle hauler in front me comes on the radio and says Stay outta the hammer lane ..... I jumped on the radio said I'm with you... he laughed and told me i couldnt keep up... well from just outside of salt lake in the winter with snow falling, two triple digit trucks let it all hang out..... all you could here on the radio, was two big trucks moving fast stay outta the hammer lane.. now I dont know nothing about yall, but where i grew up my heros where junior johnson, and popcorn sutton.. we let those trucks scream in nearly blinding snow.... made it to boise, the truck stop just before the scale... pulled in to fuel up... when i got out of that rig.. a big hand hit my shoulder and a Man said.. didnt think there was anyway in hell you could keep up.... where you headed.. I told him portland.. he shook his head, said the ranch is 20 miles up ..... if you ever wanna job come find me..
My Uncle Danny used to drive a white big rig but he lost his CDL because of high blood pressure and he now owns a lumber company I remember riding in his big rig at about 6 or 7 (I’m now 11)
I started young driving a truck and my dad never could figure out why and I worked off an on driving a truck then I went full-time for 23 years and I just love the freedom and back in 2008 my heart give out on me and I got a lot of health issues now and now I got arthritis 88.9% but I do miss trucking it's in my blood and stick a cassette in the radio country and Hammer down,, there are a few old truck drivers out there
I pray for all of us to get back home to the house safe n sound. Coming up on my 7th year in trucking in March. Still had paper logs when I started out and my company was holding out for as long as they could for the E-Log but now we are all E-Log. I now work for a small 5 truck outfit and no more 2-4 weeks or 43 days straight out on the road for me. 7-10 days out depending on what I get n a couple three days back home to see the Mrs. She's been my rock through it all. Alaskan Grizzly signing off. Y'all get home safe now.
My respects to all those American men and women who have dedicated their entire lives to such noble work, kilometer after kilometer in that great nation,❤🦅EEUU🇺🇸✌ Greetings from Spain☺️🇪🇸
I mean if you're talking about working people yeah If you're talking about the babies who whine about having to wear a mask who call themselves truckers that's another thing
It don't matter if it's a tractor trailer, straight truck, dump truck or yard dog we're all on the same team drivers. Once it's in your blood, you're hooked. End of story.
Scott Cantrell you are so right, I started in '85 and it was fun and we looked out for each other basically it was a Brotherhood, I am retired but i had 18 wonderful years out there and I am trying to work with my doctor so I can come back out there
Sadly our way of life has and continues to be destroyed by forigen drivers having 150,000 trucks bought by our government so they can keep freight rates down . They allow the cross border trucking agreements to allow Mexican drivers to haul what would be three and four dollar a mile freight for pennies on the dollar and then then stick American truckers with the tax bill. Sad part is we sat back and let it happen .
Only one way to fix it shut this country down even with covid happening demand change they can’t hire enough clowns fast enough to drive their autoshit trucks
This is one awesome song .......ANd I so love that Blue rig ... Thank you guys for what you do ...You keep this world rolling One truck at a time :-D ..... Keep up the good work ...:-D
nah we would stop and help..... and then do things you dont wanna know about in order to deliver on time. Look when you hook up to a trailer, you have made a promise to someone to get it somewhere, at a given time... what happens in between, is between you, god, and the goddamn dot.
In the “90’s” Running thru Texas . Triple digit Cattle haulers would pass you with all them “chicken” Lights and they would be “Gone” in the blink of you’re eye. There ain’t no more triple digit trucks🤨
Yes there are,you just don't see them as much as we'd like to anymore, most major corps and mega carriers all switched to new auto's for safety bullshit so,but trust me they're still our there running the long midnight hours those boys are still haulin ass, droppin gears and disappearing
in the town I live in all I see is bull haulers going to the action yards and when they stop at a light all I hear is the engine and the cattle mooing its the best part of living in the country
