Cuz they keep getting into each other spaces that's why. Chock in Foden in there too. Those 3 dumdums keep trying to play same position. Foden cuts inside, Jude in the half spaces and Harry dropping deep. Team needs balance.
Last game I saw Bellingham try n jinx past a couple defenders, got challenged and as a last resort, attempted a pass to Kane that was intercepted..... Is that the pass or did he complete one?
Harry Kane is overrated, Ollie watkins and Ivan toney are missing, they might as well pack their bags and just go home. Joe Gomez can play left back, centre back and right back, but his picked Luke shaw injured for 8 months etc
Hope Saka and Rice get dropped and sent home tbh. I’m tired of hearing after every game when we don’t win it’s rice and Saka’s fault. It’s embarrassing. People criticise Ben White but he knew what was gonna happen if he went with the England squad. He knew the media would scapegoat him as well
@@Maple_T29 not sure why Saka is getting so much hate when he’s been decent in the tournament. Rice and Bellingham have been horrible the last two games really. I’ll drop Bellingham but keep Rice and Saka should be given another chance to start. I think Rice has been confused by the chaos of Foden and Bellingham in front of him.
Looking at other teams in this competition there is one thing I have noticed. ALL of the other teams are not frightened to smash the ball from outside of the box while attempting to score a goal. ENGLAND however are still trying to walk the ball into the net.
Southgate was just five when he became England boss? And he was the "first" five-year-old England manager? I thought he was older when he took the job on...
I am hoping that Saka gets dropped to appease all the English pundits & fans that don’t want him. Let everyone be happy. Please drop Saka. Play Palmer. Saka, so so disrespected. Saka has come out clearly he doesn’t want to play at LB. I am hoping he does a Ben White. Let there be no further controversy. Come home #Saka, we love you.
Saka gets so disrespected its actually crazy, been England's most consistent attacker apart from Kane, he's also a very humble person too so idk how he gets this much hate.
Irritating to see Gomez completely ignored this tournament. He played 15 times at left back last season and was very successful Moving walker out of position isn't the answer, at much as I'd love to see taa play
@@shadow_realm47well that’s literally what happened to trent in the midfield so you’re probably correct, but everyone knows the biggest reason is Southgate
every man and his dog is thinking gordon, palmer and mainoo will solve our problems...... yet forgetting all 2 started and got battered at wembley by ICELAND. godron on the left, foden in middle, palmer on the right. it doesnt work. nothing works. no player can overcome gareths tactics.
@Lioness_UTV we've tried all other options, and they've all failed, wharton is the perfect balance goldbridge is talking about. He allows rice and jude to do what they do best for their club. No one else provides what Wharton can, and that's a fact.
Voice of reason again Mark. Gordon is top class on and off the pitch. Wankgate needs to give him a chance to shine. I’m positive he’d rip it up. You can see how desperate he is to play…
No-one needs to be "dropped". England has a big squad of very talented players, who would benefit from being "rotated" more often to keep them fresh. "Dropped" isn't the right term here.
All the mainstream media are saying England cannot drop Kane. What a load of bullocks - what's wrong with player rotation? Purpose of player rotation is exactly that - Rotate between those players who have not been playing well with fresher players.
@PaulClarke-dv5sr Saka has been excellent. He didn't deliver against Slovenia and I would start Palmer but it would be harsh on Saka. It's certainly not a pace of football issue
it only matters at major tournaments, he's not our main goal scorer or creator, not many of them are established in the team, saka was only just ahead of bowen last season for goals, gets outperformed by foden every season, palmer outperformed all of them in his first full season & we need saka to do a job at lb or lwb for england
Trent needs to play. We all saw how good he was during the qualifiers and the friendlies before the euros. But Southgate, despite seeing how good he was, decided to go to the euros and play him in a completely different role, and then drop him because he didn’t play well in that role, not thinking that he would maybe be better either as a number 8 or as a right back.
I know people will just call me a bias Liverpool fan, but if any other country had a player like Trent they would build a team around him. I don’t understand how people can only look at his negatives (he’s not as bad a defender as people say). Still Englands best creator this tournament and hasn’t even played 2 games
Where would you play Foden then as he is essential? Its hard to play Wharton when Rice has been ok. He lacks creativity in passing, but could Wharton provide that I don't know.
@@nathanwhitehouse8237I know he’s a great player but how can poden be essential for England we he hasn’t produced for England ever, being play out out of position help though
Harry Kane is England’s top scorer & Southgate is picking his team around him. The problem is neither of them have ever won anything & Southgate keeps playing people out of position. A recipe for defeat
@@Ken_from_Mumbaino he’s not , he’s a lot younger than Trippier and if you watched him at LB for Liverpool he makes a lot of unselfish runs to drag the opposite defender on the outside, something Trippier hasn’t done. The only similarity is they are right footed…
The latest lineup that I’ve seen people clamouring for online is Gordon left wing, foden in the 10, drop saka for palmer and drop Bellingham for mainoo. I would love to know why everyone wants to see the exact same team that lost at home to Iceland.🤔😂
@bluesEvanskro It's a fair point although I see no team better except I would start Bellingham instead of Gordon as I think we need the defensive cover Bellingham can provide.
@@OddityHQ just something that has caught my attention recently, I know we all have our opinions on the England team but I think it’s also something we should be aware of😂
@@nathanwhitehouse8237start Bellingham over Gordon? 2 completely different positions but even then if you’ve watched Gordon over the season you’d know how much he tracks back, he literally had the most tackles for Newcastle halfway through the season
Iceland is irrelevant...no one ever turns up the last warm up game before a tournament starts..almost that team finished the last match and even though we wasnt great all match...last few mins we were on the front foot and those same players had a different intensity to the Iceland game.
Team Gareth should pick to succeed: J. Pickford K. Walker J. Stones M. Guehi T. A. Arnold K. Mainoo D. Rice B. Saka C. Palmer A. Gordon H. Kane 👏 DONE!!
@@adamw4930 actually with gordon playing as a right wing back & trent in midfield you could play rice in a bobby moore type role. pickford stones rice guehi gordon mainoo trent saka palmer foden kane
Southgate has always shied away from making big decisions, he has always chosen his favourite players, regardless of form, he chose players who weren’t even playing for their club in the past. Now he won’t drop the big names.
Mark... Southgate is the root of all issues. Dropping Saka is the most clueless shout ive ever heard. Perhaps Walker is past it and we should play the best RB in the world instead of him. Subsequently that would also benefit our ability to break down low sitting teams that we see at international level
Thank you! The criticism from the fans is because we know this team can win! We know we have the players to win it and that's why we're all complaining about how the tournament has gone so far
Totally agree with the changes And FFS, let's defend a little deeper so we can occasionally play the counter attack game Gordon, Watkins, Palmer on the counter Boom 🎉
Football is a team game. If Southgate just picks players like they are Fifa cards, then he's a muppet. He needs his system and he needs to pick the best players for each position in that system. Not try to create one to fit all the fifa cards...he's not clever enough.
No team has stood out this far that we'd have expected, Holland and France have been just as bad as us. I do hope we find a little bit of form in the next match, and gain much needed confidence. Bookmakers still have us favourite's.
The standouts are Spain and Germany. (Maybe Portugal too) France Holland Belgium haven’t done well but England definitely had the highest expectations with the amount of world class players in the roster
Ppl had no expectations of holland before, tho while the austria game was bad the level of play the dutchies had in the other 2 games was definitely better then england. And that while u lot hype ur squad up that much youd think its comparing man city and burnley
Big Nige would absolutely have the balls to drop Guehi, Walker, Saka, and Bellingham and send Konsa, Gomez, Trent, Eze, Toney, Mainoo and Watkins back home, if not Rwanda.
The hate Saka gets is so wrong. The first 2 games even though they were utter crap all the attacking flow came down his side! The less he plays though the better it is for Arsenal so.
It’s some achievement to have the leading scorer from Germany, player of the year and champ league winner and player of the year in the premier league and make a complete mess and create such a disjointed team. Well done Southgate.
it's shocking how he's clearly the person imbalancing the team but almost everyone is scared to say it cuz they are so tuned in to building a superstar, which he clearly isnt or will never be.
@@TubaTones bellingham & the two arsenal players are the most overrated. why would you keep saka on the right when he's the third choice & should be playing at lb?
@@TubaTones foden outperforms saka every season, palmer left city as foden was keeping him out of the team & then he outperformed both of them in his first full season yet he's sitting on the bench. city are the only team in the prem that are better than the england team & bellingham is not a creative attacking midfield player
@@TubaTones you can't just play bellingham where he played for madrid for one season & expect to get the same results because they're completely different teams. before last season bellingham who's never played in the prem had never scored more than four goals & if you played gallagher in that position for madrid he'd score twenty plus goals as well. pickford pickford trent stones guehi saka trent stones guehi saka mainoo foden or mainoo wharton kane foden palmer watkins gordon palmer kane gordon
Just play Palmer and let him carry the team, he can do it all on his own to be honest. Doesn’t matter at all who else is on the pitch, Palmer will win the game by himself
Why does Bellingham deserve to start ahead of Palmer and foden? They are both much better in that attacking mid position. I don’t understand southgate’s obsession with playing Bellingham there. He’s not good enough on the ball in that position, foden HAS to start at CAM. If not then Palmer does.
As an Arsenal fan please drop Saka. Send him home. Not only will it give him much needed rest, it should also motivate him next season to do better than he's already done.
100% agree. Southgate is trying to get his ‘best players’ on the pitch instead of the best player for each position/ best synergistic team. At Man City Foden Loves the through balls but Harry Kane doesn’t play like that. Against Denmark, Watkins was running past the last and trying to make something happen. Starting Harry Kane is just non synergistic to the team
The team played really well at the end of the Slovenia game. Nearly the same team he finished with against Slovenia should start against Slovakia. Foden must start he has been great. Let Foden be in the midfield area and he can create around him. We don't need an absolute left winger Sadly it's Gordon who would have to be benched. If Bellingham doesn't up his game or we lack creativity then I would put Foden in midfielder and sub on Gordon for Bellingham. Harsh on Saka but Palmer's earnt his chance.
Tf you on about? Foden just didn't deliver at all. At least with jude, he performs at the start of euro, unlike foden who just ghosting the whole tournament.
@RRP6632 Foden has been excellent in the second and third games. He had a poor first game but was slightly out of position. He is another level to most of his teammates. Bellingham was poor last game. His attitude was terrible and he is a bit temperamental.
@nathanwhitehouse8237 across the 3 games, 216 minutes he's had 0 long balls and 2 passes into the box. Palmer managed 1 long ball and 1 box pass in 19 minutes.
The mentality in the leadership isnt right for a winning team. The manager had a career of losing and so does the captain. After these terrible performances there needs to be some honestly from the top.
11 great players doesn't make a great team. Play with identity and have people playing in their natural positions. Coach them into what you want from them. Foden played 8 forward passes in 90 minutes last game. Like 70 or something backwards, can't remember where I saw that but it says it all. 26 man squad 3 keepers, 0 fit left backs. GG Southgate
Vini Jr out there balling, carrying Brazil and getting 2 goals and English fans are delusionally thinking Bellingham is even close to him let alone win the Ballon d'Or.. Absolute joke! Vini is winning the Ballon d'Or
And Ronaldinho and other Brazilians gave up on Brazil. Brazil is no longer unique with its flair, what Ronaldinho said was right and Neymar was the last Brazilian that showed the iconic Brazilian flair. Now we have Antony’s cartwheels
I know England is an irrelevant small team but they shouldn't back down, they should fight to the very end.. It's always great to see Underdog story..C'mon England 👏
Brazil drew to the USA dont get your hopes up Copa America is coming to Argentina or Uruguay with Colombia as Dark Horses. Ronaldinho was right about Brazil you know and why he won’t even care to watch them.
English fans were desperately wishing Vini struggles in La Copa so Bellingham can get a chance to win the Ballon d'Or..Vini has 2 goals now and Balling out 😂😂😂
It’s crazy that England so far has the easiest run of games and still struggling along with abuse from the media. England have one of the best squads in this euros as well but Southgate hasn’t clue to pick the right team. They need to play a top team in this tournament like Germany to wake them up. From an outsider I’m loving this so far.
How overrated is Bellingham? 😂 All he does is fall to the ground every goddamn second.. Nothing but a marathon runner with a little technical ability..His PR tho man!! 😂 It can save the world from future disasters Jeez! Overrated asf! 😂
