Yes but they also need money to fund their single player rpgs. Mobile games take so few resources that it wouldn't make a dent in the budget for es6, and they make absurdly large profits. The existence of an elder scrolls mobile game could easily end up giving more budget to es6, as long as Bethesda chooses to invest their new profits there.

It's their big money maker but it also costs a lot of money to make. Mobile games don't make skyrim level profits, but they're incredibly cheap to build, so the dollar per investment ratio blows big budget games out of the water. Of course Bethesda could totally pocket the profit, but they could've pocketed the initial investment just as easily. If they choose to take the profits and funnel it into es6, then es6 gets a higher budget boost than if they just got the money that went into creating the mobile game.

yeah calm down guys bethesda is a Huge company now with 3 or 4 studios not all 4 studios are working on 1 project Duh...that's like thinking EA works on 1 game at a time.

Anne is great but it seemt like shannon wasnt even watching the conference, she was wrong on almost everything she said which was discussed or showed during gameplay. i dont dislike any of them but i guess talking to eachother they sometimes miss alot

elliot lemon it looks like Fallout. Fallout 4 wasn't incredible but it was still highly playable. I'm glad they are mixing it up a bit, testing a new approach to their franchises.

This_is_Citrus 4x bigger with nothing to do because there are no quest lines. It may as well just be Rust meets Sea of Thieves with a Fallout Theme. It looks like complete waste of Bethesda's time. It's like they don't know their own audience anymore.

The issue is all "Fans" that came with FO3 kept screaming Add co-op, add co-op why does bethesda not listen to us with FO4 where is co-op.

There's "add co-op", and then there's "add a bunch of random people in your world, with nukes that let them just press a button to destroy everything you have and make griefing that much easier." A lot of Fallout fans have a playstyle which makes them the prime targets for trolls and griefers, and instead of assuring us of a pve option for all us 'live and let live' players, they tried to hype people for built in griefing mechanics. In an interview later, Todd Howard confirmed that pve won't even be an option, so that's just lovely then.

Yeah it's just par for the course. I love everyone here but they did it with microsoft as well. Up until cyberpunk any trailer that didn't show enough gameplay was met with "where the hell is the gameplay though? For all we know it could be a mobile game!" And then comes cyberpunk and people lost their shit over how amazing it was going to be.

You thought that was bad? I got annoyed at the constant crying over ESO. I was like "We get it, you have 0 ability to wait for a new ES." Like, let that game have its time for those who care. If I was the devs I probably wouldn't say a word about ES until right before release because of how annoying people get about stuff like this. They just shit on it as if it is the worst game out knowing it isn't that bad. After a certain point I just wonder if they complained to complained.

Sol that's basically what they said about blades too. As far as mobile goes that looked alright and Shannon said they were keeping fams waiting for years which makes me mad. Just like with fallout 76 hate, the devs don't owe you anything and I want them to make what they want. Just because you don't personally want that doesn't mean it's a bad game

You have an interesting perspective but that is for a parallel fanbase not the core of Bethesda single player games. I don't think anyone would complain if we didn't have to wait so long for these releases. There is probably gonna be 10 years between Skyrim and ES6 and there is 3 years between Fallout 4 and 76. If you know how long game development takes you know that it takes 3-6 years to make a AAA title which means the second they were done with Fallout 4 they were already making 76. As for ES6 Todd said there are in "Pre-Production" which means it has at least 3-6 years before it will come out. Basically if you want a single player Fallout game you're gonna be waiting around 6 years before you will see it. That's why people are sad/angry at 76 not just because they don't want it. I am personally interested in playing 76 but I am more sad that it isn't what I want: another Fallout singleplayer game.

People have wanted a co-op Fallout/TES game for a long time, yet they have never delivered and Fallout 76 and ESO are the things people didn't want. No one wants an MMO esque game, they would just like a drop in and out Co-op PVE experience.

ThaPinkGuy all that shows is that people need to learn to be more patient. It is good for a company to experiment otherwise they get called out for there games being to similar a good example of this is Call of Duty and if it takes them years to do so then so be it. This game will probably also introduce a new audience to the fallout franchise and increasing your fanbase is always a good thing.

Jacob Mcclendon You're in the minority. Most of the old Bethesda fans fell in love with their single player RPGs and the great mods fans made for them. Those people obviously prefer PVE and don't want annoying griefers and little kids ruining their game. You also lose mod support which is the main reason most Fallout and TES games have such longevity.

It's not about being critical of the content tho. He doesn't say anything constructive, he repeats stuff other members said and piggypbacks to make loud horrible kindergarten jokes. I just cringe and wait for him to finish talking. Worst moments are when he interrupts others so he can throw out a cringy "joke"

GTA is mostly about vehicles and gathering money... Rust is mostly about survival and tension. 76 seems to be mostly about the world and what you can do in it. Something those two games severaly lack.

Well yeah its a beta, not early access or Alpha..beta means everything is in the game already and just needs to be tested and tweaked, you don't make major changes in betas usually its too late.

What they said the BETA was for was mainly for tweaking the amount of things needed in the world, balancing how many players there should be at any given time, and I suspect the radius of the nukes...

John Adam and why not it is a free mobile game what is so bad about that? As he said fallout shelter got more then all of there fallout games combined so of course it makes sense they want to do the same with elder scrolls. Furthermore you got your elder scrolls 6 announced so I do not see the problem.

First there are no free mobile games.If there is no price there are micro transactions which is worse. About the ES series its just that Beth should respect the games-people that made them that successful. Every ES that comes out is worse than the previous and if they didn't want to make the mobile one there would b no ES6 announcement since it will b done in 5-10 years at least. My opinion is that they shouldn't be that greedy. They don't have to make money from every platform that exists. They should just try to b better...on fallout and the es, the rest are amazing

John Adam you clearly have not played much mobile games. The game will probably have micro transactions true but they will almost certainly be optional just like in fallout shelter. It also makes perfect sense that they are going to wait for the release of the next gen to make the elder scrolls game and why shouldn’t they as they will then be able to deliver a better game to the fans. In regards to the mobile game not being loyal to the fanbase fallout shelter proves that is not true with how many people have downloaded it. Furthermore what is to say that some of the profits from the mobile game will not be put into making elder scrolls 6 better? In regards to each being worse then the last I respectfully disagree and since the fanbase has not gotten smaller over the years it would seem like the majority would disagree as well.

Sky Guy as I said they would almost certainly be Optional micro transactions just like in fallout shelter. Also they have already dabbled in mobile games with the the game I have mentioned several times and they were extremely successful at it.
