Dropping Danny's grand national body on the frame.

Gang this is day 2 of L.A. Danny and I take the frame to the paint shop and drop the body. So in a lot of frame videos you see then cut the notches and do the box in but you never see what happen after like did the body fit on the frame after all the mod? well if you watched my videos on boxing in the frame and you listen to what I told you. You will have success. 3/4 of the way in this video you will see how the body sits on the frame and how close it was to hitting. PLEASE LIKE AND TELL A FRIEND!

Its so epic to see the body and chassis marriage this was how General motors would merge the body and the frame with guild poles til the body and frame line up this is not an easy- task

Did this to my 79 cutlass w floor jack and Jack stands .lifted the frame guiding with a 5/8 bar by number 2 body mount hole next to it.good stuff yall

You need to get some aluminum bumper brackets for front and rear with fiberglass bumpers. Just did it to my GN saved 125lbs.

He did get the aluminum brackets but he shaved the bolt head off the steel bumpers and smooth them out. So it looks like them but still has the sturdy medal in case of accident

your setup is looking great! I'm doing c5 brake setup on my s10 very soon, have most of the parts. did you have to do anything different with the front brake hoses ?

Yes. Kore 3 sells a brake line upgrade to convert it for you. It was like $150 for all 5 lines.(front rear and axle lines)

Sorry but I don’t have a shop. I did mines in my garage. And I flew down to help my buddy in this video. This is just me working on my own car.

Any tips on running ur brake/ fuel lines after boxing ur frame? How did you route yours?

I personally haven’t ran any lines yet. But on Danny’s frame he ran them inside the frame. That’s one way , another it’s to mount to the lower section of the side rails almost like factory even with the box in there still room to run them there.

awesome build! been working on my GN for a couple years I need to start restoring the underbody.. did you originally have the UMI competition upper and lower A arms then switch to Ride Tech?
