He was a bit winded, so Sisqo was filling out the sound to help him out and keep the melody. He was covering the slack which was really awesome of him and demonstrates he was a team player.
@cycolicno muziik they're definitely not lipsyncing. The leads and adlibs are all live and they are singing along with the backgrounds until the end when it's acappella.
Woody used to be so awkward back then, during the first album era. I'm glad Jazz got the chance to show off his vocals too. This is a good performance here!
Damn look how slim and slick Jazz was back then. He could’ve gone solo and had a great career, at least as good as Sisqo’s and he wouldn’t have to move or look like Sisqo did. He had the voice to cover everything. He was a fantastic live performing voice too.
Was this song produced by babyface. The instrumental especially the beginning sound a lot like Mary j Blige's not gon' cry song? Anyhoo, Druhill sounds just like the record. They sound amazing live and I love the harmony that they did while Jazz was singing 😊
This song was actually produced by Daryl Simmons. He and Babyface wrote a lot of the songs together. He later started a production company of his own named Silent Partner.
