I saw Ice Nine Kills for the first time live last year and it was an incredible show!! Made me an instant fan. The band was so tight and the entertainment was out of this world. Also to your point about money the band apparently makes a ton of money off of merch. They’ve really adopted the horror genre and used it to their advantage!
@@AndrewRooneyDrums Agreed! Great reactions btw! I’ve been watching your channel for awhile now and I’m really digging it! Keep up the great work! I know you do mostly drum reviews but I just discovered the band “ Electric Callboy”. And would love to see you react to them. A few songs to start with would be “we got the moves” hypa hypa” “pump it” and they also released a cover of “every time we touch” all great and their drummers pretty good and hilarious!
INK is INCREDIBLE live! Galante is unmatched.... He is phenomenal. Not to mention they are the sweetest group of dudes! P.S.- this particular song is based on the movie American Psycho.
The Drums are styled after movie theater popcorn buckets including simulated popcorn 🍿 on the rim. Buckets are slightly bloodied. Stage show based on classic 50s cinema styles..
The song that was playing in the video was "Hip to be Scared" inspired by one of my favorite horror films "American Psycho". You should definitely check out the song on its own, the lyrics and melodies are amazing. I will always be a lover of Ice Nine Kills, and Patrick Galante is probably one of my favorite drummers. Hope you enjoyed!! 🤘❤
If you liked the style of this song, another one you should take a look at is This Is The End. A FANTASTIC song, although it is a bit on the longer side
Communion of the cursed, Funeral derangements, stabbing in the dark, American Nightmare, IT is the end been listening to them since the predator becomes the prey and going to see them live this year and MIW
So glad Patrick Galante is getting the recognition he so insanely deserves, along with INK. Saw them in July with FIR and have been a dedicated crazy psycho fan ever since !! ♥️🖤♥️🖤
Great reaction as always, heard the band before but never watched a drum playthrough, pleasantly surprised! Speaking of new songs and clean playing though, hoping to see you react to jay postones playthrough of "war of being" soon
Thanks all. Cheers Andrew, IX : I for Ice , IX for 9 , X for kills…. Mashed down to IX…. Brilliant marketing! Their official music videos are a “Bit” more graphic, As are their live videos. Chose the DrumCam, but suggest watching the official video based on American Psycho is amazing. The band Is so tight; clean and harsh vocals are provided by multiple band members. The Silver Scream was their breakout CD. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
great stuff and great advert for sjc drums it was great drumming also but a bit like they said were doing the whole set mate but were finishing early so squeeze it all into 1 track lol
INK very good reaction. Lamb of God have released a brilliant high quality drum cam. Art Cruz live in mexico city 'laid to rest'. Please review that next! Thank you for the videos!
Hi Andrew. Slightly off topic, but have you ever reacted to the live version of Child in Time by Deep Purple before. The one where the audience have to stay silent and still? It’s become my new favourite song, however I’m really interested in Ian Paice’s drum set up. It’s the only song I’ve ever seen where the drums are set up like that and just curious as to why and how it differs from others on a technical standpoint, if that makes sense?
ANDY, I love your website, and I quite like that unpronounceable name amateur drummer who you keep playing on here... He's got enormous hidden talent, but needs to become a musician with feeling & groove for a track (it's hard to explain 😂)... At the moment, he reminds me of "ANIMAL" on The Muppets Show, which probably explains why he isn't a big name multi millionaire with a global big band 😂. That sounds harsh, but I really rate his talent, and no mega insult meant or intended. Get him to listen to Ginger Baker lots 😉. Best Wishes x
