This is definitely a possibility. Many times individuals that we work with feel like the muscle is very sore like it had a big workout or they actually feel like a deeper bruising feeling shortly after. Some people just describe the muscle as feeling "tight." Often times range of motion and symptoms are acutely improved however. This typically can last 24-48 hours and for very reactive muscle, 72 hours may even be possible.

Motus Rx Physical Therapy, LLC thanks. I bought some 30 gauge needles and am trying to work up the courage to dry needle my horrible, permanent, excruciating, life ruining trigger points in my delts, upper trap, tricep, infraspinatus, teres and pec minor.

@@MichelleDespres where are you located? Might we be able to help you find a practitioner in your area who could help? Please be aware that we do not recommend attempting dry needling on yourself unless you are licensed to to perform, its in your scope of practice, and have appropriate training as is the individual in this video. @@02vault you can buy needles legally without a prescription at any pharmacy, but I now have a sick kitty whom requires fluids daily so I’m stocked with various sizes and gauges of veterinary needles now. P.S. I tried doing it. I don’t recommend it either lol. I hit the bone. Fml lol
