I tried needling for my sciatica. Best thing I’ve tried. Small pinch to start but nothing to think about or worry over. I walked in with back spasms, walked out almost normal.
Needling is awesome for these types of presentations in my experience. It can really help with spasm and secondary radiating pain due to spasm, disc issues, etc. Thanks for sharing your positive experience!
Well, thanks for checking out our channel! I'm also trained in classical acupuncture and use both approaches. Sometimes I mix classical acupuncture with dry needling a bit too. The dry needling approach is different but they both have value, dry needling is typically a bit deeper and aimed at specific muscles and trigger points in those muscles. I have treated many who have tried acupuncture before. Best of luck!
I must ask ive have trapeze tiger points that are just below the shoulder blade ... Dr said they can't do injection due to being on the ribs.. could this treatment be done ? Have some in my lats as well.. Also I live in Washington state wondering if you could recommend someone here I could consult with. Thank you Thank you
The lats can definitely be needled. The area below the shoulder blade can be too, but the practitioner needs to be comfortable with it and have more extensive training for areas around the lungs. I'm sorry I don't know anyone in Washington state, I believe acupuncturists and MDs are the only ones who can do dry needling there but I'm not positive on that.
I can't give you any specific advise since you're not my patient, but it may be helpful to see a physical medicine provider to get some a plan of recovery.
