Great pass, while staying in the lane. As a fellow DRZ rider, you really have to be strategic with the tiny hp to compete with those big bikes. Well done!
Dude on the CBR needs to learn how to stay in his lane. Also, if he doesn't learn how to ride, he's gonna crash soon especially with his terrible body positioning.
@@za65dar74 He jinxed himself buying that big of a bike before learning out a ride, especially since that looks like an older Honda that probably doesn’t have traction control ABS all those goodies that keep new idiots like him alive.
really nobody noticed that they changed bikes? the cbr guy put the foot out like on a dirt bike and the drz guy took the knee out and also the gear the drz guy is wearing..
@@jessicacharles6428 hmmm I put my foot out for rocks for other riders, but I didn’t take it that way when he did it… I took it like he can’t ride and he put his foot out
It’s gets even more sketchy with sand and gravel, of course then the random car over the double yellow mid turn !! That’s my worst fear and happens more than I like
Mad Props, taking and holding that inside line... beautiful riding... jus got drz today, what huge powerband. Went on 30 minute ride never got into 5th...
Thanks I have another ?. I just bought the 17 sm. My first bike. Do you do strictly street? If not I’m tryin to get help getting the correct tires for dual sport. I want to stay on the 17 rims and need to be for tubed tires
Cbr rider looks dangerous, I was nervous just watching! Also I see drz passed on the right - pretty scary as on public roads you expect only passing on the left? Or are they on racetrack lol
I used to race an SV 650, and big bore supermotos were included in the class. Every time I heard that booming exhaust note coming up behind me, I would mutter to myself "getting passed by a dirtbike". I had so much respect for those guys. I could easily catch the 600 fours on acceleration, but those big singles would pass me on the inside, and walk away from me on the corner exit. Here the 400 rider has skills. And the 1000 rider needs to learn some...
Dude, I live in Japan and just bought a used DRZ (2011, 10,000 mi) for 6 grand. They are not available to the Japanese market and all are imported (hence, the price). Your videos make me so stoked to finally get it. Two more weeks...
@@beefymcshazmoo I made a mistake. They were sold in the Japanese market from the factory until 2012. But now, even if they are made in Japan, they are not sold here. So, we can't get a new one.
I have a CBR1000 and am actually buying a 2017 DRZ is what got me at this video. Two diff bikes for sure but I bet the DRZ is going to be more fun in its own way.
@@PragmaticTornado i got a drz and hayabusa... you cant compare sportbikes to super motos its apples to oranges. there will be times when im riding my busa and wish i was on my drz and vice versa. next bike for me will be some kind of naked bike like a duke or mt10
I think you hurt someone’s feelings with 600 less CC’s 👍🏻. Smooth riding and keeping it in your own lane while buddy was trying to take race lines on the street.
Your bike definitely is out cornering the cbr, but the lines are bugging me. It feels like you're gonna wash wide, but that thing corners pretty sharp.
What sprocket setup were you running on that day? Front and rear please. Thanks in advance! And God DAYUMMM! You were rippin through that canyon lol nice riding :)
+sicwhitt wow 120 what's the mods? I have a rmz450 sm and I've only bothered to get it to 90 and I'm unsure of the speedos accuracy but 120 gottt damm. also sick vid
@@sicwhittlocal209 sick dude! just need e cams and base gasket to finish my stage 1 rn. just got my bike dialed in in terms of jetting and she freaking rips! cant wait to finish the stage one and eventually hit the big bore and the stroker kit
@@sicwhittlocal209have you returned it back to stock bore I assume then? Sick videos by the way. Great to see you’ve consistently uploaded great DRZ riding videos for years
DAAAAAAAYUMMMMM they weren't joking when they said that the DRZ400sm could keep up with the big boys I wonder if he has E cams and the whole shebang because that can get you a 0-60 of about 3.8-4 which is no slouch but seeing as the 1000 is looking at high 2 low 3 it's still not going to be able to keep up with just power.
At this time was 400cc with the fcr39mm and suspension for performance mods. I have marchesini rims and hotcams with some kibble and white work on the head for the valves and springs now
@@sicwhittlocal209 Hell yeh! Thanks for the reply, and for helping me on my decision for my next bike. Be careful man, looking forward to some more content! Subbed...
Gearing 16-38, fcr39 carb 160 main, air box mod, high comp piston, suspension spring valve, sxv master cly, over sized rotors, Marchesini rims, and other
That CBR guy had no clue how to ride his bike properly. He looks like his ass is glued to the seat, his feet are wrong position on the footpegs but yeah, he can throw a power wheelie.
Yo!! I live in Tracy Ca 209. Definitely looking for other legit riders to smash canyons with. I have a DRZ SM and ride always looking into my mirrors to see others in the group. I don’t think this would be the case ridding with you. Mt Hamilton when your ready!
Epic stuff brother! I've been trying to convince myself that I need this bike. You've pretty much got me phoning my dealer in the morning! Cheers mate, have a great weekend!
thank you....do u have some tip to give me? i m just buying the drz 400 valenti, but i would like to let it be more light...like changing the fuel tank from 15l to 7 l...
I'm not surprised by this at all. The supermoto is lighter and so much easier to blow through the turns on. Obviously if it were a highway the CBR would dust it but not in the turns.
sicwhitt I want one so bad problem is people don't want to part with them a lot of people will ride their supermoto until their wife tells them to sell it, they have to move, or they die.... Which means I have to get lucky and snag one with low miles for a discount if one is available after I get my permit or I have to get a loan for a new one...
