Man, the jet mode and robot mode on this are both screen-perfect and gorgeous. Kind of a shame that you have to trudge through nine circles of hell to get from one to the other.
Emgo I just wanted to say you are one of the best tf RU-vidrs ever, you always put so much effort into the videos and I just want you to know we all appreciate you! Keep being awesome
@@thelastknull510 true. I also like the enthusiasm that he put in his reviews. He genuinely shows if he likes a figure or not. Plus his JTI's are just awesome. So Emgo, keep being you and do what you do best!
This is why I've started collecting again. I bought brainstorm last November and I think I've started at an awesome time as the kingdom line is amazing and am waiting on the final beasts in wave 4 to be released in UK stores then I'll try and get the u.s releases like grimlock and skywarp. It is shocking how they are only released in target and the likes in the u.s
Megatron: goes from tyrant to villainy 101 instructor. Starscream: Chokes while Megatron does an instruction. Someone better animate this, it's hilarious!
Hey emgo! Just wanna say that you've come so far since I've started watching you 7 years ago. From the old T-shirt setup to the old table, its really cool seeing your channel evolve over the years. Good luck man, hope that you grow even bigger!
I love how there is ZERO kibble in robot mode and really enjoy how they handled the rear wings. Though the transformation is most certainly tedious, the amount of possibility is well worth it. On the waist swivel, I prefer a waist swivel over no waist swivel, regardless of any illusion breaks. Amazing review Emgo as I've watched your content for 8 years, and here's to 8 more! Edit: That ending skit was NICE
Emgo I have been waiting for this review once I saw the short that you made about it. You make even the most frustrating figure fun to watch you review and also fun to transform.
I could just see the caption for that featured shot of "Starscream" @ the start of the video..., ("Vote Starscream for President, He'll get the job done!!!! Even if it's at Your expense!!!!") 🤭 Sound familiar?!?!?
That to me is one of the best looking Starscream’s I’ve seen. As much as I like to try and support Masterpiece, safe to say I’ll be picking this up over ‘Screamer 2.0.
The most eligent way to transform this is emgos way, you know why because we a Ll come to emgo to figure out how to transform our figures thank you emgo for using your transformation skills with finesse (whatever that means lol)
I love the skits at the end of these videos. Damn....this thing looks involved, and i struggled with ROTF leader prime when i first got it (TF instructions have ALWAYS been sucky, even the official ones from Hasbro, in my experience)
Love the cut away gag mate, it's been a while since there's a longer cut away gag as they're a lot more shorter than those back in around tfp series. Definitely in love with this one and hopefully you can continue making those, they're low-key my favourite part of this channel other than mascot reviews.
I hope this company continue with this mould, I really like what they have done with the leg transformation. I would like to see them do the coneheads.
i think those extra hinges on the thighs are actually to accommodate more movement on the legs, i think it allows the legs move forward alot more. some figures have that kind of join but im still not sure
While I do say this is a great alternative if you don't want MP Starscream 2.0, I still prefer the official Takara MP in regards to the looks and transformation engineering. Still a good figure overall. And Megs giving us some wise words from a Leader is always a good welcome.
As much as I love my Eagle ko Starscream, I was still disappointed with how gray it was, which is the color of the genuine MP-52, I guess. This one definitely looks whiter, and that, to me, is probably enough of a reason for a purchase, plus it's nice to have 2 Starscreams to display in both modes.
@@geagenesismaria7379 Its not. The official has its flaws but its still fun to transform him between the modes and easy to learn too, fits better with other Decepticons better and doesnt look like an exclusive shampoo bottle
isnt starscream ALWAYS out of order? i mean starscream never follows orders to a Transformation cog. this is on par with how starscream is. as always love that short you made,
I loved his leg transformations, really really impressive and as per your vids are amazing. It's the only place I can enjoy these ko versions as I can only afford those released in shops and siege jetfire is the most expensive one I've been able to afford and the only masterpiece I own is soundwave and I was amazed at how cheap he was considering the price on some other masterpieces. But at least I can come and view them on your vids. Great work emgo thanks for keeping me entertained. I appreciate all you do for your fans
My favorite part is that it's designed to look like MP-52. They're that smug and that certain that this is superior to MP-52 that they're basically rubbing it in at this point.
This morning I saw theRU-vid short of the Starscream so I immediately jump to see if you make a video about him but you don’t so I went see an other reviews but if I’d know earlier I would have surly wait till you upload the video. 😅
Oof... well at least he doesn't have bits of rear wings in his regular wings? To me this seems less like an upgrade from the MP and more like "Hey, did those teeny issues bug you? Well at the expense of a headache and a half, we've dealt with them!".
@@leetri To me that's a double-edged sword because on the one hand, it is a figure that looks really good and is more affordable than MP-52 and for some, that's gonna be the deal-breaker but honestly? I feel this is less say looking at paying for Transform Element's OP Leader or MP-44 and more like deciding do you want a headache every time you want to mess with him and really care about the presence of a waist joint and some rear bits in the wings or do you want a figure that works, looks cool and is fine to mess with in both modes.
@@Shingodzillatoyreviews2 To a degree, yes but if I'm being honest? MP-52 still is really solid and you get that look without a transformation that's a massive headache.
If you take a look at his animation model. That bit of the cockpit that is below the waist line should be white. It helped with how he looked like in robot mode when he was moving his hip around.
Just got this last week and I say it's worth the money. The transformation isn't so bad after your first time back and forth if you're careful. The articulation of the bot mode is amazing and sturdy.
@@xKslice928x Yeah, I can understand why people are intimidated by the transformation. Because no matter how good you get at this transformation, it’s going to be a chore every single time that you do it. That being said, both moods are amazing, and I think it is the best looking Starscream by far. As far as robot goes I mean. I would almost argue that the meteor version is the better alt-mode.
@@LetsGetitBoah Yes that's something that i guess this figure really has over MP-52, the plastic and the build feels mucho more solid and sturdier than MP-52 which had common issues of stress marks in the tail fins and ankles making them floppy. But the Takara figure has better paint quality tho
Thanks so much for reviewing this. I have it on the way and I depend on your videos to help me transform my TFs (The Kingdom Rodimus JTI is a money saver!). Now I can rest assured that I can transform this with confidence.
Just got this guy in today. Having owned every other MP Seeker mold (MP-3, MP-11, Maketoys, and MP-52), first impressions are that this thing's transformation is a freakin' NIGHTMARE by comparison. Going from robot to jet mode the first time might have been the most frustrating conversion of a Transformers figure I've ever done. Hopefully it'll get easier with repetition because right now, I'm wishing I had kept MP-52. No contest. He looks great in both modes though.
I mostly agree with you, except on the "most frustration Transformers Figure I've ever done".... as much of a nightmare as DS-01 is, his transformation is still easier than Xtransbots Fuzz.
@@tekcomputers Yeah, I retract my previous assessment about the transformation. After going back to bot mode and then to jet mode again, knowing the steps and how things are meant to move/fold helped significantly. It wasn't really that bad at all the second time around. The way everything explodes and flips reminds me a lot of MP-44. Honestly I feel like MP-44 is more of a pain than this and I got used to it fairly quickly too.
To be fair I can’t really think of a way they could’ve added a waist swivel without breaking the sculpt. That’s probably the reason why the official masterpiece starscream doesn’t have one.
Im honestly so excited to add the seekers to my collection, ill be getting masterpiece starscream but the DS thundercracker and skywarp just because in my head its more financially justifiable if theyre different molds xD
maybe I'm weird but I like how the fingertips are rounded rather than so stiffly squarish. Helluva lot of work in the transformation and no help at all in the *Snerk!* instructions!
just ordered this guy, I like how he looks better than mp52, especially the proportions, I slightly like mp52's backpack better but everything else looks better on this guy
"I know how opinions work, I hope you do too." Well said. Unfortunately, not many people understand how opinions work nowadays. I look forward to more people learning how they work. :)
I would like to see you measuring the height of these in future reviews. Specs are often incorrect and would be helpful especially with side-by-side comparisons.
So you're saying the waist joint was a wasted joint because it doesn't properly keep the illusion of the cockpit part on the waist breaks apart from the rest of the cockpit on the moves with it..has there been a mold that has a waist joint that was done correctly and wasn't a waste? Stay safe and blessed. Yosh...
