@@mozphet3030 No issues whatsoever, it was surprisingly detailed and clear throughout the frequency spectrum. It had more bass response than I expected but not magnificent in that department of course being a 5 inch. For that price I couldn't say anything negative about it. I've not heard the 6 or 8 though. 💯

Yeah but for an overall mixing for any average beatmaker the hs series is terribly bad !

You should check the focals evo, to hear them in person, they are the next level in all areas for HS, Ta... or any entry level monitors

@@SergioPresents Don't even need to hear them in person, as if it's not obvious already in this video that the focals are considerably better.

This is like wine, Everyone have diferent taste. Focal is more acurated and tecnic, T8V is more colorated, but Also cheaper 😜

Both sound good but Focal has better build quality and less hiss. I would pick Focal

@@DSAUDIOreview Thank you for your advice. Yes, hiss or “self noise” is a disturbing feature of a lot of studio monitors. I want to avoid any background noise where possible. I think it would be good for someone with the necessary hardware, software, time and inclination to make measurements of this unwanted noise in a controlled manner (devise a “standard” test measurement). A table of measurements (e.g. a top 20), perhaps giving a “sound byte” for each as well, would be very useful for those, like me and many others I believe, who are looking for the best monitor to buy. Consideration of the other properties of the monitors (e.g. how they sound and frequency response from your excellent comparisons) and these measurements would give prospective buyers excellent information upon which to base their choice. It may also convince manufacturers not to cut corners during parts selection and manufacturing, where these affect the background noise of their products. A measurable drop in sales is an effective wake-up call to manufacturers; and may lead to improvements in monitor speakers for all users of these musical instruments !

And again I would ad the Dynaudio BM5 MKIII which are verry high ranked, especially in that price range abouth 800$ for a pair
