Sadly, it keeps working somehow. I think his support has gone down though because he has gotten more and more whiny hopefully more of his moronic followers will start realizing he is completely full of shit. I don't know how people unironically watch him monologue nonstop about the same 5 different nonsensical excuses.
Lmao he says this even when he is playing against one of his own characters he has played for 100's of hours. "I don't know this matchup at a high level! I don't know what to do!". Just shows his complete lack of understanding and critical thinking skills.
18:45 "he doesnt fight like a tekken character he's just doing flips in the air like an asshole" immediatetly proceeds to do double momentum flipping air kicks followed by an energy beam attack. This shit would be too on the nose in a satire comedy show lol
'this is why i need an even BETTER and more expensive controller... so I need tips, and if you liked the streams Im gonna buy the new 1000 dollar version so I can bring better gameplay to you'
Tekken has a father and a son that can transform into demons, an alien looking samurai, a bear that can speak sign language and is in love with a panda, a boxing dinosaur, a kangaroo and, not one, but *two* robots in its roster. And he complains about anime moves.
Bro, he doesn't play this game. Or go into practice mode. Or try to learn anything about basic mechanics. Or frame data. Or what moves are punishers. Or watch his own replays. Or learn combos. Or how to tech throws. Or the different ways to get up off the ground. Plus the game drops his inputs and his opponents get rewarded for mashing jab. What do you want him to do dude? This isn't offline. Not good gameplay.
@@Herodotus888 I want him to not perma cry like an ape if he's not willing to learn he should be content with losing. Every second of this 23min video was him not comprehending what is happening on his screen and him crying about it. He complains about not knowing characters, while not understanding that everyone has an universal 10f jab that is +8f on hit, and he keeps pressing after being hit and complaining that his jab is slower while pressing from -8f. I've never witnessed a player more clueless while talking like he understands what's on his screen.
@@markolatinovic812 "His jab beats mine! Everything he does counters me!" - Phil Burnell It is actually insane. He has been playing fighting games for 20 years and he doesn't know how the game works on a basic level. He says things like "the game gave his move more priority". No Phil every move has certain properties, and you should have picked up on that after playing fighting games for 20 years. Even if he doesn't actually look it up, he should naturally develop at least some idea of how this stuff works. Alas he does not and never will because he is a genuine moron. I honestly think if he took a legit IQ test he would score about 80. Funny thing is like you said every character has tools in Tekken It takes about 5 minutes on youtube to figure this out. They even all basically have the same tools in SF6 because of DI and such but he just refuses to adapt and blames things on "that char is high tier" or w/e.
it epecially funny him saying "WHY ARE THEY IN THE GAME" as if they weren't in the last two tekken games. Legit like 13 years of them being in tekken and he wants to act like theyre new because he DOESNT PLAY THIS GAME xD
I think one of the funniest copes Phil has is thinking that so many people out there are actually purposely manipulating their connections to be bad. He will them ignore the obvious that, both players suffer in bad connections. Can't be the actual network itself, it's got to be the 'asshole player breaking the connection'. Just to try and cope away why the guy is better..... meanwhile he is playing someone he doesn't know. That should be reason enough for your lack of skills, but he has to cope cause he must be good. he's been a fighting game player for like 30 years. How could he possibly be bad with fundamentals.
He has gone on a diatribe before when someone donated asking him about that. He said lag does not affect both players equally and whined about lag for a while. He genuinely thinks it affects him more than the other person.
Imagine playing a fighting game and being incapable of admitting that your opponent is better than you or that you were off your game. It is insane that Phil is a grown ass man, and still has an excuse every single time he loses.
I have played tekken on and off for, let's say years just a something fun to pick up and even I know kuma players either do it as a joke or can destroy you
@@bovineintervention276You can play her simply against scrubs but she isn't one of the more simple characters at all that's crazy. There are very simple characters in this game.
You know what mechanic I haven't seen DSP use yet? The Replay Takeover. It allows you to go back to your old games to see what you did wrong. But anyone who knows Phil knows that he will never confront the fact that he did anything wrong, nor want to learn and improve.
He must have Bionic eyes to see the slightest of delay- he’s like Dr Manhattan, he can see Lag so insignificant that the average person wouldn’t even know it existed.
That's why whenever ANYONE says things like "They're just pressing buttons!" or "They're doing strings, so they suck", I can't help but laugh! XD Like, I get the core of what they're saying most of the time, but they could DEFINITELY word their sentences better!!
Lars doesn’t play like a Tekken character wtf does that even mean 😭😂lars has been in tekken for quiet some time now he’s definitely cemented his place as a tekken character
@benmcgiggles7655 It's funny watching Dale get dogged in pretty much every game he plays. Watching Dave is more depressing with how desperate he is and the constant begging.
It's so confusing especially when he does mirror matches and complains that he doesn't know what's happening, shouldn't you know what your own character is doing?
He doesnt need to be told this, he'll make it up on his own in a few weeks. always saying "someone told me" but never saying who that magical person with all this scientific date and information is
The problem with that is that dale is actually pretty decent at the game, while dsp just doesn't even understand the basics of tekken, so it would be quite the onesided battle
Only sad part about DSP tekken salt is I don't get to hear my usual favorite DSP-isms from SF6 "Mash dragan!" "Randuhm drive impahkt!" "Gret, another Ken" And of course, endlessly seeing COUNTER HIT on the opponents side of the screen.
Phil has the obsession about trying to interrupt other players moves, yet he is trying to use the most absolute worst moves to try and do it. Heat isn't an instant move. His fastest move is his 10 frame jab yet he never uses it when trying to interrupt. Plus Tekken isn't about trying to interrupt other moves. It's about blocking and punishing. In a game where plus frames are heavily emphasized and encouraged and prevalent, trying to interrupt anything is gonna be a bad time for anybody. What a fucking scrub lol
lmao you say all of this as if Phil is a competent human being. When have you EVER (and i mean EVER) heard phil IN ANY GAME that he plays talk about frame data? Frame data is a myth to phil he'd rather rely on his concept of "priority" xD.
@@ValSempai oh I know this is never gonna reach phil's pig ears. I'm just pointing out how fucking bad he is at Tekken specifically to those watching who don't play Tekken or fighting games
Also something I've noticed. He sometimes goes into a Heat state, and then immediately uses a Heat Smash, which then drains all of his Heat. Now, my only experience with Tekken is mainly from Tekken 7, but even I feel that actually using the mechanics to the fullest potential and not wasting is something he is struggling with.
@@egomegayolo4127 Some characters heat states are better than others, but for almost every character, especially Jun and King who he seems to play, wasting Heat on a Hear Smash is an awful decision. Not that he can grasp that tho lol
I accept wifi matches but I can just tell myself," Don't expect a phenomenal experience. Just play the game. Don't complain about a situation you are putting yourself into."
dsp thinks these people purposely have bad connections to get cheap wins, and probably doesn’t know that it’s based on both players connections to each other
Sure in this game we can see when it lags, but that also means the other person is lagging too. How come they can manage to combo him, but he "can't get out 2 moves."
@@TheUlquiorraCifer probably because he lets his focus slip once he starts yapping mid fight. I have a tendency, just from my own experience, to start losing matches when I let emotions enter while the fighting is happening. Maybe if he would wait until the match is done and keep his emotions calm till then, he'd do better, but that's not as entertaining in DSP fashion 🤣
Those laughing edits you’ve done are just as good as the classic Snort Burnell “Oh my God, he’s drinking sperrrmm/Hulk Hogans’ Piss/salt/wheelchair donations” spots. I honestly look forward to them every time 😂
I returned to tekken after tekken 5 many years ago and it's not a game you can spam a simple punch and kink and hop all over the stage toonish vibe. You really have to know your character and make calculated moves. I know DSP just sucks at games in general but it's funny hearing him bring over the same mindset to a completely different fighting game. "lag lag lag!" and "I was pressing buttons!" I doubt there's much lag and the reason why his characters won't do certain moves is BECAUSE he's mashing buttons.
I'm new to Tekken games and it took me 2 days to figure out what you just said.. I come in with a Street fighter mentality and this game is not Street fighter.
he rarely does things like side stepping or rolling out of the way in games like this. just because a 3D fighter starts with two characters facing eachother that doesn't mean the entire environment isn't useable 😅
He's trying to force his terrible square shaped street fighter game plan into the circle hole that is Tekken's gameplay. Both are fundamentally incompatible together, and his street fighter game plan sucks shit in the first place
@professorpenne9962 the thing is this is a very complex fighting game, there are multiple ways to roll and get up off the floor, you need to time your sidestepping carefully for them to be effective, he's nowhere close to being able to do that, it will take him a lot of time and dedication to be a good player. Luckily right now the game just came out so there are a lot of scrubs playing it now, trust me he won't be playing this game a few months from now like he does street fighter, he would get annihalated by the good players. He will quickly drop it like he did tekken 7.
@@kbthegoat824 I know it's way harder than a lot of fighting games, and that's why I occasionally play tekken just for fun. I don't mind getting my ass handed to me by people who have mained characters for decades. philly shitsteak can't even accept someone is better than him
I was the Leroy in that match. Tbh phil did pretty well. It was actually a really engaging set. Unfortunately I just don't think he knew the MU which is totally normal. I honestly had fun fighting him since I'm also not familiar with Jun. GGs Phil
I love how he’s says “I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO!? I don’t know what to do?!?” When he’s in the middle of getting hit during a combo. What are you even saying.
My favorite is when he’s got distance on Leroy, then MOVES IN ON HIM, and when Leroy attacks “WOW LOOK AT THE RANGE ON THAT” like nah man you were right in his zone. Jesus fuckin Christ man. 😂
Love when he says Jun isn't fast enough to punish. When every character has a 10 frame, 12 frame, and 17 frame punish move. Every character. In the game.
What's funny is he isn't completely wrong about Lars being anime. I think he was in Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 as a secret character! 😂😂😂 But his reaction to Lars is priceless 😂😂😂
The reason lars was in storm 2 is because Kishimoto (the creator of Naruto) illustrated a costume for lars and then Bandai decided to make him playable
This is a Japanese fighting game where people summon lightning and become empowered by latent unholy energy. The entire franchise is anime including the energy blasting upside down float kicking return from the afterlife Jun Kazama.
Phil throws in just enough truth to keep his followers hooked. I mean he doesn't actually know what part of what he is saying is true because he is a genuine moron with the worst reactions possible in a human being, but his unironic followers are also morons so they don't know better.
Right? What's more anime than people beating each other up with demonic powers, giant bear fighters, shooting laser beams out of your third eye... was he expecting some kind of realistic fighting game?@@bovineintervention276
His main issue is he just stands back up when knocked down. Never tries to roll away or forward so he’s just a sitting target for combos that doesn’t have to be read. He legitimately can’t stand up because of this, I don’t think he knows there’s another way to get up
1:51 "so laggy right now" - DSP. While the network HUD shows 0f delay frames and 1f rollback frames for the rest of the match, even if it was a 5 bar Wifi connection. This is an instance where I would say "Don't hate the game, hate the player".
I really love how dsp is complaining about the lag while the dvj is having no issues doing electrics and wavu mixups. Him playing jun is the cherry on top lmao
"He doesn't fight like a Tekken character" Bro you have 2 bears that break dance and know martial arts, a boxing raptor and kangaroo not to mention a guy literally made of wood that mimics everybody. Stfu lmao
I like how when the game is running smoothly with no lag he complains he can't even see the match because it's so laggy. All that WWE champions caused brain lag
