Yeah, it’s extremely tiring at this point to literally hear the same excuses for every game for so many years. I feel quite unhealthy lately watching him. I still haven’t received my spoons in the mail either.
Can’t really blame him DSP is one of the rare 0.0000000001 percent of people who suffers input lag every match and his moves never come out nothing he could do
a novel idea would be practice a lot against the bot characters and learn their moves before going into pvp when it's possible someone has mained the same character for years or even decades. whoda thunk.
He had the same pings on day one when he was winning it was fine now he's getting clapped, its lag. He already has the excuse pre loaded before the loss.
2:57 The guy gets hit with a running attack, obviously putting Zafina into her lowest stance. What’s Phil’s reaction? Hopkick I’m convinced that this man has to be a joke manufactured by the FGC
@@rabbyd542 Phil caters to the "oddball characters" because they're heavy with slow movesets which aligns with his oldhead reflexes that way he can blame the "matchup" or simply how the "character is built" instead of his lack of skill so yeah nothing new there lmao
I have never ever seen one man before DSP be so bad and braindead at any sort of game. Even my 50 year old father who plays for like 2 hours per week, stoned out of his brains plays better than FartSydePig. It's truly a testament to how smooth Phil's brain is.
"He teleported down to a crouching position and thats not what happened on my screen" might be the best excuse ever for the opponent ducking to escape a grab.
@@TheSpectre2300 lol he doesnt understand that the opponent can sidestep to duck attacks either. He is forever stuck in the 2d level one of Street fighter 2.
My youngest brother has mained King since Tekken 6 and seeing Phil play King is such a disgrace. 😣 Granted, I can’t play King lol. I stick to Jun/Asuka.
Everyone saw this coming from 10 miles away.. dude is going to get juggled for days, using the same old excuses and cope he uses in Street Fighter while knowing absolutely nothing about Tekken
Before I even watch the video: - Mashing jab/kick - Your connection sucks - It dropped my combo! - I can't block - I can't get up How accurate was I? 😅
It seems like he's decided his favorite excuse is going to be spam combined with bitching about not knowing what anything about who's kicking his ass at any given time.
The sad thing is; in Tekken thats a legitimate part of the game, but hes not stating that because he recognizes its a weak matchup for him; hes saying that so he can lose and pretend hes better than the opponent
I love the fact that he never admits he has to improve and try at the game. He might get a tiny amount of respect for that. It's just excuses, excuses, excuses.
That's what a decade of social isolation does. He has lost all perspective on what a game is. With friends around he might hear the phrase "chill man, it's just a game" enough that it would soak into his smooth brain.
Same as with SF6, Phil's idea of improvement is watching and copying better players. That's not a joke - he hypes up watching others as if next stream he'll be of equivalent ability. Studying frames and stuff? That's for nerds dood
@@S-Groovean actual physical one from a mall tournament from 98’ not a psn trophy if you look hard enough you can find the video of Phil telling the story.
> i don't like that i was beaten by combo spam Welcome to Tekken, piggy.. you get juggled when you get caught slipping lmao Dude is a 40yr old self proclaimed fighting game enthusiast and doesn't even know shit about the second most popular Japanese fighting game
He was never a gamer, pre RU-vid the only games he played were SNES games, he slept on every other console until the PS3 era. He shits on all the games he never played or missed out on too, It's why he hates Halo 1 and Metal Gear Solid series. It's also why he doesn't even get Tekken, he never played it until he was on youtube for content. He can't even block, side step or parry lol.
DSP literally has no idea how Tekken works. As a long-time Tekken fan, I'm having a blast with Tekken 8. Most of these players aren't "spamming combos" Phil. They're punishing your failed attempts to attack them by using fast frame start-ups, eventually leading to powerful combos. They're decent players who understand Tekken's design on a basic level. You can counter this by prioritising throws, parries, and blocks. You ARE playing King after all, the perfect character for just that... You always keep saying, "I have no clue what to do!" So you need to hit the Practice Mode and spend some time figuring out the best situational attacks for King instead of blaming the game, its characters, and its players... Even if it means having some Practice Mode streams (there's a new stream idea for you Phil...).
Let me get this straight. The guy who got a first place award in Tekken 3 and has played Tekken 7: 1. Can't sidestep 2. Doesn't know about universal 10 frame jabs. 3. Has no concept of counterhit, ducking, or parrying 4. Has no understanding of meaty attacks. 5. Calls out chars as gimmicks for having a low stance 6. Doesn't try to learn a matchup as he goes and instead says "I can't do anything." 7. Calls a whiff punish a "Random super" 8. Thinks that always being ready to find a way to launch a combo in a combo game like Tekken 8 is "Combo spam" There is no other place where you can get such low IQ fighting game takes. At least LTG talks about the games he plays in broad strokes.
@@lechaatr193 Ling Xiaoyu's entire gimmick is that you have to be competent at the game and know every matchup to use her. As for Zafina yeah lows are her gimmick but he could easily go to the lab and learn to counter her.
To add onto that, has no concept of hit strings being uninterruptible with ANY move, causing him to whine that "I can't do anything he's spamming combos!" when he's eating Lee's WS2,3 which cannot be interrupted in any capacity lmao
The jab spam was the worst offender. Like really dude? There's a million ways out of jab spam. DSP somehow still hasn't discovered the concept of dodging attacks or even using a power crush.
I don't think it's harder than SF, but ot's different and DSP is unable to learn things. He wants to win instantly instead of learning how to play. The dood doesn't even dodge attacks.
"I pressed the button! Omg it didn't go down! It dropped my input. Ack ack ack look my bread is just sitting there. You saw me toast it. I did nothing wrong. Tips would really help tonight"
Time for everyone’s favourite segment, Dave’s day off! Yes! So yesterday Kat wanted more toast so I get the bread. I put it in the toaster, and leave to take a wizz ack ack ack I almost peed my pants dood. I come back after 20 seconds and guess what? The toast isn’t done! Kat’s at the dinner table crying and we don’t know what to do. We think the toaster might be broken, and we don’t have the money to buy a new one. We ordered Doordash for 2 pieces of toast and it was only $20. With that in mind, I need your support more than ever because our toaster is broken and I HAD to pay for Doordash to feed muh Mom- muh wife. I don’t what we’re gonna do, I might not be able to buy Jasper cat food this week.
Phil making cereal: *pours milk and it overflows* whut? The milk kept pouring and I didn’t even have my haend ahn it. I stahped tilting it in time it’s just dumb man. *snort*
@@coltonwilkie241how dose he suck at mario litteraly like one of the easiest games to beat lol how terrible can you be at a game videos games are just not his thing
11:12 "He's not outplaying me, it's just lack of character knowledge" that is literally being outplayed by someone that knows the moves and counters. That's like me playing tennis against Roger Federer and saying he's not outplaying me, it's just my lack of game knowledge.
Tekken is hard as hell for a newcomer. You will suck ass like everyone else did at one point. But Phil can't allow that, he is the pro gamer who receives his tips because he is a god at fighting games.
For some reason seeing DSP on Warrior rank after me barely scraping to get to Marauder back in T7(on Shaheen) pains me on a whole different level. And motivates me to grind those numbers and get into the lab, to be better than that sorry excuse of an fgc player. It's been only four days since T8 launched and I already love it with all my heart.
@@panzerfaust8452 don't worry man, they squashed the ranks so the Warrior and up ranks are the new green ranks. At warrior you don't lose progress for losses, you just get nothing. You can get to Warrior with sheer brute force, which is what Phil doeos
I love how he says Hworang spammed kicks when his fighting style is Tae Kwon Do , it specailizes in kicks and mos tof his combos are kicks with very few punches involved XD. Another thing, he’s playing King and not doing any grapples to do chunks of health, he’s just shin kicking uppercut, and normal grabbing.
@@TheWonkster yeah I can see that, I’m not a tekken analyst or veteran but I’ve played Tekken 4 , 5, 6 and 7. But I can grasp an idea of what the old roster characters are capable of. He’s just terrible
8:50 Ah, there's the DSP King mashy classic we all know and love. Forward advancing low kick, mash, mash, mash, 3 times in a row minimum. This is his idea of fundamentals and footsies.
Ever noticed that any time Phil has lost, he has never once said something like "good game. That player was good" And honestly, who cares if someone is spamming a combo. You do what works to win. And if using the same combo against an opponent works, then do it. That's a testament to how bad phil is if someone can spam the same move and combo all fight and win
Yea, the fact that he uses "They do the same thing repeatedly" as an excuse is so embarrassing. Unless the thing they are spamming is legitimately broken that should just make it easier to win.
He does but it's pretty uncommon. He'll usually start a stream relatively positive, but as soon as he goes on a losing streak ... oh boy. The real Phil emerges.
Ya, I haven't played a tekken game seriously since tekken 5. I went to Mortal kombat for a while, but decided to try tekken 8. I tried online, got my shit pushed in, and I was like ok might have to somewhat relearn tekken.
I was watching him get destroyed at the end of his stream and his chat is beyond weird. One dent begging for the discord of another dent with an anime profile pic who was talking about foot massages and everyone else was spamming Phil’s terrible channel emojis. Taking advantage of mentally challenged viewers through guilt tripping is Phil’s entire business model. They don’t even care that he sucks at games because they’re too busy being weird in his chat.
DSP hates his fans. Why do you think that he always snorts in his streams when he is alone(when his wife was on stream he never snorted) that's also the reason why he wanted to do a documentary, to gain newer viewers that will sympathize with him. But decided to cancel it after he watched Gundam's video and heard that Mike will try to have people that worked in WWE Champions.
I was literally waiting for it to happen. Phil whined that Hwaorang was spamming kick attacks. Maybe that's because 99% of Hwaorang's move set is kick based.
"Well I'm glad he stopped playing SF6 because of how bad it is, now we can see him play a real fighting ga- oh it's still laggy, drops his inputs and nothing has changed... huh" -DSP dents I can't imagine him playing this as long as SF6, he knows even less about Tekken mechanics than modern Street Fighter.
The game's best new feature is the replay system that let's you load up any of your past matches to rewatch the ass whooping you just took. Then during the replay you can actually take control of either character, at any point, to try something new in order to learn the match up more and quickly cycle through alternative options to beat the losing situation you were in. It's amazing that he has no interest in this and simply feels entitled to be good at the game while putting in the least amount of effort. If he spent less time smacking his lips/kissing his own teeth, slapping the controller and complaining he might have time to analyse what was going on, but no, he's too mentally backward for that.
Such an amazing feature for people learning the ropes of Tekken, really revolutionary but all Phil will do is go "Whu....what do I do?" the entire time
@@binho2224if you have bought Tekken 8, you can search for his in game name, then find every replay that has been uploaded to the servers. It's similar way to Street Fighter 6.
@@binho2224 good news, I believe you can search or download them in some way. There's a YT channel that uploads replays of pro Tekken player matches that are clearly not him. I'm assuming you could do the same for Phil
DSP: *never does any kind of training mode research on characters* DSP: "Im only losing because i dont know what he's doing!!!! Ok guys give me money now."
I love how he goes on a minute-long bitch/excuse-fest when he gets bodied by Zafina instead of just admitting that he needs to learn and maybe asking for ideas.
What is funny is most of these characters has been in every single Tekken recent games that he has played so his excuse of "Lack of Character knowledge" is complete BS
"can't punish the launcher my moves aren't fast enough" Saying this whilst playing TEKKEN that has a WHOLE mechanic to avoid moves and punish then, SIDE STEP PIGGY.
phil has been playing fighting games longer than i've been alive and can't seem to understand that the reason he is being counterhit is because he is mashing when he is in frame disadvantage. im so tempted to go into his chat and just see how long i can correct him before i get banned
"I still can't up. I still can't get up! I STILL can't get up!!" Is allowed to get up, only to go back down to a predictable jumpable low while using a character that actually has decent jump attacks. Never change, Phil. Not that you were ever even considering doing that anyway.
As someone who loves Tekken, you can't really "spam" moves. You can use the same move over and over sure, but there are so many ways to counter that by every character, they are going to figure out what you are doing and stop you. Also, there are absolutely safe ways to hit Zafina low with King, and to get off the ground and stop being comboed. You have never seen a Lee BnB combo in Tekken phil? He's in EVERY game.
It's amazing how he's like this for EVERY game he plays. I am astonished that he hasn't realized if every game rubs him off the wrong way that maybe it's him lolol.
It's all spiralling out of control so fast with Dave lately. It feels like the big one is coming. At the least, I expect we will see a monumental meltdown of epic proportions in the very near future. Or, if lucky, this will all finally get him to appear as a blip on YT's radar and they will finally take the necessary and long overdue action.
I wonder how long Phil will last in Tekken compared to Street fighter, we seen how long he lasted in Mk1, hope we can continue to get more salt from him before he quits
depends on tips, if JaxxRaxxor somehow got more government checks and started doing 150$ tips every stream, this would suddenly be in DSPs top 10 games of the year
I mean DSP is not a tekken player as much as he is a SF player. Granted he sucks in equal measure at both but not knowing character knowledge _at the start_ is slightly forgivable.
