Exactly. Why the fuck is that the excuse? He's been playing online only for years. He never tried playing offline with a good player. How can he know what you can and can't do offline?
Seriously. I wish he could hear himself, I mean, really listen to what he says. "Did you see that?! Hahaha! You can't even do that. Literally, it's not even possible. You realize that, right? His connection, whatever kind of connection he has, 100% favors him doing this pattern and you can't stop the pattern. You see what I mean? The netcode.. his internet connection is so bad that the game just gives him things. For Free. That don't even work in the game." That Blanka bit was insane. He couldn't blame Blanka so it had to be the connection. It sure didn't look laggy.
It’s hilarious to watch in real time because the first few matches he was playing against some pretty bad players and smashing them and you can see how different his attitude is. Then the moment he gets hit with a nice combo and he knows he’s outmatched the excuses start pouring out rapidly .
Time it when he gets hit and when he starts complaining about what happened, it's like he is more prepared to bitch about perfectly avoidable situations than actually having his head on the game for a bit
nothing is his fault... its his parents, its the helicopter company, its his tax man, its machinima, its twitch, its youtube, its trolls, its PandaLee, its the game, he done everything correct
21:30 - Am I hearing this right? Phil's been saying that his opponent's BAD internet connection is giving him the unfair advantage? Someone make this make sense. Please.
What are you? Some kind of morahn? Everyone knows, if you have a bad connection, it's the reason he loses. If you have a good connection, it's also the reason he loses. Capcom somehow had to save all these pattern-playing scrubs from the obliteration they would be handed courtesy of Dave, so they invented a netcode that specifically targets only his connection. It's only when the connection is just right, down to the exact 1/1000th of a second, that Dave can absolutely perceive, that his skill then justly wins the day. You would be a real dummy if you thought there was any reality in which he would otherwise ever lose a round.
Thats the thing, they have. Way back in the day when rollback netcode was just a concept Phil went on SRK and complained about “dropped inputs” and “lag” that no one else was having. Because of his lies (and the fact no one liked him) he was banned from the forum. In reality he hates it because 1- its not the same as offline play (and never will be, its impossible) and 2- he hates the guy who made it and has since the early 2000’s. But hey, we should all listen to the wisdom of a one time fourth place EVO “champion” right?
@@Krudey09 None of his problems would be solved by offline play anyway, he just reacts too late and cannot for the life of him learn to adapt to anything
@@Kalulosu You make a valid point, he has the reflexes of a dead cat and his brain is fried from all the gin... but he was making the same excuses back in the arcade cabinet days when he was the "walking ATM"
I can literally only tolerate it if it's either x2 speed for a long video .5 if it's short, so it distorts his horrible voice enough. Or someone actually entertaining is talking over him.
I'm more disgusted about the fact that he got wrecked 4-1 against that Chun, when he won that one time he ran away and acted megasmug like he just beat her 5-0.
I can see it now. "No dood, it was because he owns a restaurant, that's why I made that joke! Look, Chun even said it in her win quote. You're the racist one for pointing out that Asians eat fish and rice!"
Its the same thing when he scrubbed out a win against Gojitenks after getting bodied for countless matches and said " See you in Lagville! BYEBYE!" He has so much malice he cant contain it. He'll never change.
Ping absolutely affects both players in all fighting games that aren't peer to peer. The game clients have to communicate with the server, and lag on one side affects the other. Hell, his whining about "AHNLINE PLAY" or whatever is dumb as fuck, with rollback it actually plays like if you were offline. He's just too dumb and proud to admit he sucks.@@ValentineIsHere
So my boyfriend got me this game for Christmas and it literally plays gorgeously online, and it's not like we've got the craziest wifi plan either. I haven't had a single issue with lag.
With the technology we have these days, having stuff the way he describes makes no sense. No one would ever even bother with the game or playing online
You don’t have those gunner glasses on, that make it able for Phil to witness events that are so insignificant & trivial, a regular person couldn’t see, or comprehend the elite brain sight Phil has.. he sees the ghost lag, you can’t, you’re wrong, he’s not.
Obviously your internet just favors you. Everyone you face is getting their inputs dropped because as we all know, if you have crappy internet the game works great for you at all times.
Its amazing Mike Clum even has the opportunity to making a documentary, to this vaneered hermit. Im looking forward to phil's echochambered rants about how mike clum wronged him 😂
"And that Mike Clum guy was a total morahn, never gave me a chance to tell my side of the story (snort), and during that interview he totally dropped my input so I couldn't hide my gacha game addiction. I need that money to pay my rent at the start and the end of the month!" -The Pigroach.
Except even they are better because they at least have the balls to fight in real life. Not this squealing pig though. Always talking about offline play, yet never putting his money where his mouth is
Phil is a great example of the dangers of not being self reflective or even being able to laugh at yourself, cause otherwise you turn into a Dsp and no one wants to be a Dsp.
@@Eidlones he just doesn't use online tactics like parry, break throw, combo. If you combo then you pattern play. You can't pattern play. You should mix up, jab and headbutt and when they don't suspect it - headbutt and jab.
Undeserved win. I refuse to acknowledge any of Phil's "wins" as legit, because if he calls out other players for an "undeserved win", then it's only fair we treat his "wins" as fake.
Especially with how mad he got when people told him is 4th place Evo win wasn't valid because of the janky port. He got so mad at them and is now projecting things that hurt him onto others in hopes that it hurts them as much as it hurt him. But they can't hear him, so it really doesn't matter. It's just funny to everyone else.
He played the singleplayer. So he has technically played it offline. Of course, I know you mean VS offline, which he hasn't done, but please clarify before posting something like that again.
what even is an online only combo, like DSP ever blocks anything. That blankka was probably wondering if someone's little sibling was playing street fighter that day. It is funny his new years goal of being less toxic to players lasted less than a week. That blankka also had super clean execution, probably would do ok in a local tournament if they don't get flustered.
The “online only” combos chun li was delivering, but notice he placed his camera over the hit counter in the video. Claiming he “couldnt block” yeah sir bc its a combo
The blanka set is a perfect example of Phil just never labbing. He has no concept of practicing tech so when he sees it he doesn’t think it’s real. The idea that he doesn’t know everything about Blanka doesn’t enter into his head.
He thinks he knows better than everyone else and he thinks he doesn't have the time because he set a schedule that screams "I'm a workaholic" and sticks to it for... some reason.
As a Chun-Li main, it's very tricky to land that split kick on the way down and do it on reaction. It's much more reliable to do it in the air. It's not a Hail Mary, idk what his obsession is with the term. Is it what he says every night asking God to forgive him? 🤣
it's always weird to me that he calls these things "online tactics" when 1. He's never played the game offline before and 2. You can literally find footage from offline events of players doing this stuff. Also, I find it interesting how he never queues into online from training mode, or even to lab certain things after a match. It's a minor thing, but his unwillingness to lab is part of the reason he's not really improved much in the past twenty years. Meanwhile, I just hit Masters and I feel myself improving every day. Maybe I'll run into Phil one day on ranked, eh?
@@V2ULTRAKill it's not even like you really need to do a whole lot. Surely he has the free time to simply watch a few replays or combo videos for the characters he plays. He blocked a whole DP in this video and only got like 15% of the Ken's healthbar off it, even though he had full Drive and SA3 stocked.
@@V2ULTRAKill I don't play Honda at all but I'm pretty sure he could've just done 5HP into headbutt or OD Hands into SA3 for like 50%. It's not exactly a rocket science punish
"offline that doesn't work!" How the fuck would you know anything about offline SF6 Phil? You stopped playing offline like 15 years ago. Probably forcing Kat and Jasper to play with him, money matches of course.
Funny how Phil will shit talk people who beat him once & just leave, yet he does the exact same thing against that Chun-Li player after he gets a singular win against them
The first 10 seconds already pissed me off… like why is he complaining about online… THATS ALL YOU DO. Bruh. Someone please disconnect this guys internet privileges
Still doesn't realize you need to use DI when the opponent CAN'T cancel their attack into their own DI. He just throws it out because he thinks he deserves to land it. He has no clue how hard those Chun Li combos are, especially online. The links are so precise.
Phil playing FGC pro: "oh no please don't beat me I'm not ready bro "seal laugh and clap good match man really good player the game worked perfectly no lag what so ever" Phil playing randoms : "DOOD this game is catering to bad players and lag is helping him pattern players DOOD" Phil just has to admit some players are better than him and put more time into the game. Phil however won't admit that he not that guy and he isn't a top tier player but him admitting to that would be when hell freezes over even then he probably still won't admit it
He's played online fighting games for over 10 years but still isn't used to a " laggy environment ". I bet even he can't remember the last offline player match he had.
Street fighter has been an online game for over a decade, yet Phil is still talks about “ahnline only combos” because he played it in an arcade two decades ago. This guy!
His ''online only, this crap wont fly offline'' makes absolutely no sense. How would he know? He hasnt played offline against a living person in over a decade, if anything he should be good with the amount of online experience, but fill isnt good at anything
Dsp is so lame. He gets beat clean four times in a row. Gets a lucky wakeup super win then leaves while bragging about taking the win streak lmfao. Dude literally acts like a spoiled younger brother
How is it pro fighting game player DSP is unable to do anything vs "online only combos" but your average, run of the mill game enjoyer can very easily react???
