Your math is alittle wrong. If you have a device that draws 768watts and your battery it’s 768watt hours. Your power bank will last an hour. If your device draws 1024 watts you’re probably getting about 45 min. I run a power bank when I got camping. It’s been fantastic. EcoFlow has a great system. You can get a delta series power bank and a smart generator and have unlimited power. It turns on to charge and shuts off when it’s done. Great for power outages too.
Correct. In my latest video comparing power banks and dual battery setups, I explained that watts is the capacity of a battery but watt HOURS is how long that battery will last. Kind of like a vehicle. Horsepower is what the vehicle can produce but it's a different story of how far that vehicle can go on a full tank of gas
I’ve got a power bank in my vehicle for my fridge, but also have an inverter installed and hooked up to an Auxbeam switch pod. When I want to charge the power bank, I just turn it on via the switch pod. I can adjust the charging rate of the EcoFlow power station via its app. Merry Christmas Asia!
@@Swartberry007 it’s a Renogy 1000W inverter hooked directly to my vehicle’s starter battery. I only turn on the inverter to charge the power bank when I’m driving the vehicle.
Merry Christmas Asia. I just mapped out my internal battery system. 50ah in my sub floor storage and will charge by a Renogy 30a DC-DC. It will just have a 12v output dedicated for my fridge. That will free up my Bluetti to be a backup for the fridge or whatever else. Then I have a second small portable that powers my rock lights and charges any USB stuff. So 3 separate systems, 2 of them portable, all charge in 2 hours or less of driving or by solar when at camp.
I have a few. But lately we haven't posted those because I'm currently working on an actual film we are gonna debut at the expos. So me and the crew have been filming for that when we are out. I AM going on a trip in 2 weeks and will prob create a video for that one that I can release soon. I've been itching to post a trip video
Great breakdown. I love power banks for the flexibility and not being isolated to one rig, but as you invest more into a build it can be nice to have a more permanent setup that requires less setup and teardown for the essentials.
This is a much needed comparison for our community brother. Excellent points. Also something to bring home for some might be the proper wiring involved for running a dual battery setup vs a power bank which is obviously very quick and simple. Some folks I’m sure don’t want to get “tangled up” in that mess and an extra expense might be to pay someone to wire it up. Just something for others to consider going the dual battery route. And for those in cold Winter areas, battery heaters and thermostats are also necessary. Always fun to watch with pertinent info Asia. Thanks man! Happy Holidays to you and yours!
I’m thinking of setting up a dual battery. 1.5 years with my Rig and (2) 500 Goal Zero, (1) 200 Goal Zero, and (1) 50 ah Dakota Lithium Power box…I would love to set up a permanent solution. I love learning all this stuff 😁 I have a Renogy Charge Controller and 100w solar panel to still hook up too 🤓
