Dual PC Stream Guide for Voicemeeter Banana 

Don't normally leave comments on videos, but this was so, so helpful, and the latency between the two is essentially non-existent. I don't know why more people don't use this method when trying to get a dual stream PC setup working - it's an actual solution rather than a hacked-together method that ~kind of~ works. I was planning on getting a mixer, but might use this even after I get my mixer in place just because of how seamless it is after everything is in place.

NIce, good thing to talk about VBAN!. REM: you can also Right Click in incoming stream name or ip-address... it will display a menu with the list of detected incoming stream(s)... easier to select than to enter stream name and ip...

It took my dumb face 3 different guides to make everything work, but now it does and man is it reliable thus far. Hello! Extremely helpful tutorial! You made it very easy to understand. However, I am having a problem that only my "Outgoing Streams" have green bar at the end of my IP address on both my streaming and gaming pc. I made sure the stream names are spelled correctly, do you have any suggestions?

Great Video man! I had just a couple of issues. I was able to pull the microphone audio, but not the game audio from my gaming rig. You mention something about using an ethernet cable, but I was wondering if you could go a little more in depth on the ethernet cable part, and also on how to get the game sound pulled up on obs. Really good one here. As a noob voice meter banana user this was a fast track to understand how it works for 2 pc streaming. The only thing that I am not clear on is how to terminate hdmi sound without muting and without turning down the volume output. I terminated with a 3.5mm adapter that goes nowhere on the back of my monitor. The reason is because avermedia live gamer 4k when used with a pass through monitor will output sound to it. So that is ok because my streambox get it directly from the capture card. However, if I mute or turn down volume then I no longer have sound to the stream box. The only thing I could come up with is to plug in a 3.5mm adapter into the earphone/headphone plug on the back of the monitor. This terminates the sound output to the monitor and still lets me have sound control in the voice meter. I didn't figure out any other way to solve this other then maybe to send line out to someplace instead, but that doesn't solve the sound coming out of the monitor. Is there a prefered method to solve this other then just termination connector ? Sound is always present otherwise. And no other way that I can tell to mute or turn down volume without effecting output to the stream box capture card sound. Thanks for the vid.

I have everything working. The only issue I have that I cannot figure out is my mic. I can hear myself talking in my headphones when I set up voice meter to hear my stream pc audio. How do I make it so that i only hear music or stream alerts from streamlabs that is coming from my stream pc going into my game pc without hearing my mic?

The only issue i have is audio from my ps4 into obs...i have no sounds for obs to capture??? but my audio is coming out my monitor of the out el gatio?? now when i had a single pc set up i had no issues here? so i cant find the issue out. please advise howto get the audio from ps4-to obs so my stream can hear it. Not sure if you're still replying to posts on here, but I've done this tutorial in the past and it works just fine. But now I'm getting weird problems with the comms portion. My game audio is going to my Elgato card which works fine, my mic is patched through VBAN and is working through the VAIO B1, but for the discord (B2), i can see the levels bouncing on my voicemeeter on my second pc, but i can't get the audio to work on OBS. VAIO and AUX VAIO don't even work. But I can see that Voice Meeter is reading it. My settings Match your settings identically.

I'm getting some duplicate sounds from the MIC on the stream PC after following exactly what you have said. The Mic also isn't coming through the B1 but A1 (On the stream PC) and I don't even have the A1 selected on the Gaming PC. If I DO have the A1 selected like you have shown, it just duplicates the sounds through my headphones and I get nasty feedback. VBAN is all set up, green lights across the board. I can't help but feel I'm missing something here.

This is a really late message i know, but i cannot get Comms to be picked up on StreamPC OBS. ITs using the Voicmeeter Aux Output as well and VBAN shows a connection...

Correct me if I am wrong please but around 25:00 you go over how you have the Mic routed. You have your Mic plugged into your GamingPC and set to go to B1. You StreamPC has the Mic going to Virtual Aux and not HW Input 1 leaving HW Input 1 labeled as Microphone but nothing is actually going to it.

Hey! I really appreciate this, this video helped me a ton been trying to get the audio to work for hours. I have 1 question though if you don't mind, everything is good and set the only issue i'm having is I might have mixed something up, my friends on discord are able to hear my in game sound, or any youtube videos I am playing, I have muted my mic so it's not picking up headphone noise from my microphone, any idea how to fix this? Just tried this. Love the video! However I am getting a distorted playback on my streaming PC as well as when I record in Streamlabs. Any thoughts on this? I can barely hear clear words come out.

This is by far the clearest video out there and still I can't make it to work LOL On Playback and VoiceMeeter Input wont let me change it to Default Device, it is stuck on Speakers Elgato Sound Capture... I been at it for a few hours and maybe someone have a solution.

Hey I have the audio going over to my streaming pc just cannot for my life get the audio to come through my headset as well on my gaming rig .

Hmmmmm, I've figured out about 80% of this, after many hours, and around 10 similar video guides on this program. I have ALL of my gaming PC audio (games, discord) and my Blue Yeti mic going from my gaming PC via VBAN to my streaming rig and into OBS and then onwards to Twitch. This is working pretty well. OBS on my streaming rig has both of these audio channels mixed (game audio and mic) into one incoming audio stream. BUT, trying to get my Stream Rig audio (the only thing I care about is Twitch alerts via OBS) into my Gaming PC, so I can hear it on my headphones, has been a nightmare. I just cannot figure it out. I CAN hear the audio, but its almost unrecognizable due to horrible looping. So obviously I have some digital audio cables mixed up... I think my Stream Rig audio is going into my Gaming PC audio which is then feeding it back to my stream etc.. I just can't figure out how to get the stream rig audio into gaming PC without it being mixed and fed back over... if that makes sense... I'm about to give up and maybe look for another program or something. It's driving me crazy. Any help would be appreciated.

So I have my setup the same as yours in this video however I can hear myself speaking into the mic through my headset and its really throwing me off. Is it suppose to be that way? (My headset is plugged into the computer tower not the mic itself)

How are you getting your game audio over to your stream, as well as into your own headset? Right now I am actually using an hdmi splitter to a Avermedia live gamer portable. But since my pc is primarily sending its audio to my usb headphones, which also are my mic, and not out of the hdmi, i dont know exactly how i would get the game audio over to the streaming pc. SOLVED, just set A2 as my HDMI audio out. Thanks so much for the tutorial.

Question. Streaming PC has this message on Voicemeter top right , at the hardware out "Select Main Output Device (A1). What do i do with that?

It works, but wouldnt you get "echo" , when you send your game sound to the stream pc and also send twitch alerts from the stream pc to gaming pc? thats what i get, guess im doing something wrong. help??

I am so confused. I finally managed to get audio from Stream PC to Gaming PC, but when I do Game PC Mic to Stream PC, it just created a horrible echo. I'm also unable to get game audio from game PC to stream PC. I don't have any headphone/speakers plugged into stream PC..... hmmmmmm

Hey punisher i have my gaming pc plug into my elgato hd60s input thru hdmi and the usb 3.0 to my streaming pc. when i was using the elgato sound capture i was able to capture the hdmi audio but when i tried this voicemeter. my capture card video configuration on obs would not show the audio input HDMI. so im not getting any game audio from my gaming pc to my streaming pc could you help me plz!!

Hey, awesome video first off. I have a question about how you are capturing your game audio for OBS. I have a dual PC setup and my HDMI going from GFX card to elgato capture device. But when I add the video capture source it doesn't seem to capture the game audio. Any ideas?

great guide but having problems with my mic. It works great on my gaming PC but i can not hear it on my streaming PC. I hear the game audio and but it looks to be playing through input 1 where the mic should be. My vban is setup to play the mic in input 1.

Hello again! So I was able to get everything up and running properly from your tutorial! The only issue I am having now is I am getting a delay between the game audio and the game video. The sound is coming through faster then the video on my stream. Example, viewers watching the stream will hear me shoot, and then a second later actually see me shoot my gun. Could you explain how to fix this via response or video please? You are the best!

i followed your instructions but the audio quality was crappy it was way better without it running there was a twang or something in the stream only when i was listening to the audio directly out of the video capture card the sound was not there just being sent thru obs any ideas

So in order to send my audio from gaming pc -----> Streaming PC I NEED to use VBAN and pass using network? Could I also send (gaming + Mic) audio in different tracks?

Nice vid, but i cant setup the audio in the streamlabs obs (stream pc), i can hear the comms and my mic with a headset on the stream pc but no in the stream, the streamlabs just dont pick up the audio so nobody can hear in the stream, how do you do that?

I followed this every step, nearly copied your settings down to a tee. Here's the issue that I'm having and I'm wondering how you're able to pull this off. So you have your Alerts from your stream rig going to your gaming rig through the Bus B2 source over ethernet. The problem I am having is that the game audio is doubled on my gaming rig when A1 (my headset), A2 (to my capture card), and B2 (stream rig's voicemeeter panel) are all active. If I turn off A1 (not ideal), I can hear sound and everything works, but, audio is out of sync with video on my gaming rig. While the audio does go to streaming rig, it is also picked up by the Mic/Aux 2 channel on OBS, which is dedicated to comms. If I turn off A2, no audio is sent over to streaming rig at all. If I turn off B2 from stream rig, audio from gaming rig is sent to stream rig, it is accurately labeled on OBS as desktop audio, but no way to get alerts back to gaming rig if someone follows, hosts, etc. How are you able to have B2 active on stream rig, without the double audio on gaming rig, while getting alerts at the same time? I feel like there should be a B3 source which should eliminate this, but I would like to know what you did to make it work for you.

Does Voicemeter Banana on my stream rig need to have the same exact hardware input, output and virtual audio settings as me gaming rigs version of Voicemeter banana?

Hey, I'm having some issues with getting alerts/music back from my streaming PC to my headset plugged into my gaming PC. Following your config, I'm getting echo of all audio sent to my streaming PC unless I disable the audio coming back from my PC. I'm assuming I somehow set a channel wrong, or need to change playback/recording devices on my streaming PC, but as far as I can tell I set it up exactly as depicted in the video, so I'm left scratching my head. Any idea what might be causing this for me? If need be I can upload some screenshots of my config. Also, thanks for doing these videos, they're a much needed island of good tutorials, in a sea of one-off, contradicting-the-last-comment-I-read, comments. :)

Is there a way to split discord audio so what I hear is louder than what is streamed? Right now I have 2 pcs where I have 2 discord accounts. My gaming pc mutes everyone and my stream pc hears them and send it to obs and also across vban to my gaming pc. I have been having problems with robot sounds that happens too frequently. Thanks!

I'm trying to set up mine the stream pc gives Discord audio and my stream audio To my headset on the gaming computer and my gaming computer sends game audio to the streaming pc I had it working once and an update reset my audio and I can't figure it out again can anyone help

HEY THERE!!!! I followed your tutorial and everythings working. stream gets mic and game audio but my games are no longer picking up my microphone. when selecting audio input device in game it just defaults to output. any idea what could solve this problem????? its been such a headache!!!
