London here! Just found your channel and you got a new subscriber. Moving to The Philippines in July and thinking of bringing my ultra with me. What is the legality of the e scooters over there? At the moment all e scoters are consider illegal in the UK. Great videos.
It seems to me that the ultra is the best. I don't see them coming out with a model that can top it. The only thing they can do is to come out with another Ultra with upgraded components
JPO Orr Performance wise it is the best, top of the line. The Dualtron Thunder is the successor to the Ultra. While there are no changes in performances, a lot of the other components have been improved. I’ll hopefully get to review it in the coming months
We have a dualtron distributor now in the United States they're going to be getting another shipment in. All of there scooters are sold out I'm definitely going to get the ultra to me it seems like it's the best scooter out there I know it's heavy at 80 lb but performance-wise nothing can compete with it . For me I'd rather get the best and deal with the 80 lb. I know that some of the other ones are lighter but but once you get over 50 pounds anything's going to be a pain to Lug around and carry upstairs until the Battery Technology improves that's something we'll just have to deal with when it comes to the ultra it just seems to have everything besides hydraulic disc brakes but then again hydraulic disc brakes can become a pain when it comes to adjustment and bleeding we don't have designated scooter shops here where I live in South Florida. So the less maintenance the better. The company that I have to order it through is out of California where the scooter scene is way bigger
JPO Orr You want to have hydraulic brakes on your Ultra, the mechanical stock brakes are just not cutting it. They are good enough for the Limited, but not for the Ultra. You can do the installation yourself, it’s really not that difficult. Just get yourself a bleed kit, mineral oil and have the right set of Allen keys. Like I mentioned in this video, I really recommend the Magura MT5e because of the build-in magnetic switch, they go for around 150$ on Amazon. Anyway, Ultra is a great choice. You won’t regret it.
Sash O yeah I totally agree with you about the hydraulic brakes being better I have a electric bicycle it's a prodeco outlaw 28 mile an hour throttle only bike I've had it for over 4 years now only one flat and a few sets of pads that's about it unfortunately the hydraulic disc brakes on it are cheap avid Elixir 5 the reason why I want to get electric scooter is for the fun Factor, range plus speed. Not that I'm looking to go 50 miles an hour all the time but it's nice to have it when you want it. I live about 10 miles from the beach and with the ultra and its range I'll be able to go to my Beach all the way down to Fort Lauderdale ride around and still be able to make it home. Like I said down here in South Florida electric scooter seen is non-existent just electric bicycles and not a lot of them either I know as soon as I get my ultra and take it up to the beach people are going to be like that thing is badass especially when I tell them how fast it'll go. Like I said I'm going to be getting one towards the end of next month I'll let I'll let you know how it goes I'm sure I won't be disappointed.
JPO Orr I agree with you, but if you compare it to the rest of the Dualtrons, the Raptor is the most portable of them. At least for now. When I took the Ultra to work, it turned into a nuisance after the third day due to its weight and size. Mainly because I had to carry it down and up the stairs every day. That was less of an issue with the Raptor.
Roberto FERNANDEZ GARCIA I did the conversion on a friend’s Raptor a few months ago. I have a video of it if you’re interested in the process. If you have other questions, let me know
