This is a step by step on how to tighten the chain on a 2017 Ducati SuperSport S. You will need a T60 torx socket, socket wrench, torque wrench, and a measuring tape. The tension on the locking bolt is 35ft lbs.
thanks for this very helpful information! There are no details in my user manual, it says to move the bike to an authorized dealer to adjust chain tension :( your video tutorial is utterly useful, thank you!

Brandon, thanks for posting this video on the 939 SuperSport. Let me share a video with you. My friend, Kyle Thompson a certified, nationally ranked Ducati Master Tech, explains how to adjust chain tension on a single sided swing arm. In the video, Charles, one of the owners of Seacoast Sport Cycle in Derry, NH explains why the wheel needs to be unweighted while you’re doing the adjustment. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u7MD7Of0CQQ.html
You measured in the wrong spot. Look at the picture on the swingarm. It is definitely too tight. You should be measuring before the curve in the swingarm
