They don't write music like this anymore in Hollywood. They only have a bunch of hacks led by Han Zimmer. The Casino Dance is my favorite from the whole score. The Orchestra did a great job on it's performance. I hope the rest of performances are as great as this one on the Cd. Thanks. Out.
I discover but now this great work of re-recording of the original Tiomkin score. As usual , a great interprétation and Recording ! I have the original sountrack on LP record, and i must day it very close to the original. Maybe the tempo is a bit slower.
This is absolutely wonderful. I have a question. Why did the score need to be reconstructed? Aren't the orchestra parts and conductors score at the Ransom Center at the UofT? Are the scores incomplete? Would be great to do some of the other Selznick titles as well.
