Nah see the one I don't think ever seen left behind is the wizard. I've seen the tank (stupid idea), the healer, (stupid idea) Even the sttacker... But I can't think of one where it was literally a wizard that's abandoned in the dungeon. Wait, on second thought I thinks I have its just every single time they do it, the character doesn't grow as a mage instead picks up a sword and solos everything like a fucking warrior instead of a mage.

Burst mages can be attackers, cc mages are controllers, healers are just mages, and support mages can buff, tank, nullify damage etc. But when most people think attacker they think fighter or archer, someone how can push out constant damage per second without the need of magic or special abilities.

I was thinking the same thing. Multiple parts don't make sense. Curse on the hand? Just cut it off and heal it? Also he was like totally planning on just abandoning the girl to the lizard guy for... No reason? And then let's him go despite the dude literally being like "I love being a bad guy". Also it took the party like less than a month to get to floor 150 but somehow took him two years to climb up from that point?
I think the author wrote it as: Everyone in-character "Knows" the traitor will be arrested and probably put in a dungeon or killed, so they weren't forgiving him 100%, just letting the knights handle it and not lynching him with mob justice. But it was very weird how un-angry the mob was
The party are beyond redemption, Loki deserved it, Sugs deserved it, Hina deserved it, thoses 3 were cocky and arrogant and had caused the deaths of white mages, the butterfly lady would be deserving of some redemption despite not continuing to stand up for rei after one point in time. Good story but got a feeling they are setting up a redemption for Rei’s party and if that happens I'm done man😂😂. The only one who even pretended to express regret was Fei or whatever and even then the healer girl said after they sacrificed Rei they did the same thing to 5 more white mages after him. There isn't anything even remotely close to redeemable in that party. And unfortunately Rei seems like the soft doormat Mc that forgives any and all wrongings with how he instantly felt conflicted after hearing that they were injured badly.

This was good until he tried saving the Gate Knight. The guy is responsible for mass murder and betrayal of the people he is supposed to protect. They are not even guilty of harming his family but he is taking it out on them. Dropping... I am sick of protagonists trying to save murderously evil people like their crimes are simple misunderstandings.
On the plus side, the now-former Gatekeeper will be able to spend the rest of his natural life in that [Forbidden Black Abyss] prison, guarded by the strongest of Barrier Masters, never to see the light of day or freedom ever again as he ruminates about his poor life choices.
@@CD-vb9fi And given that he actually WAS a Gatekeeper, his "Divine Blessing" has the added "benefit" (pardon the dark humour there) of having greatly extending the length of his life expectancy. So that contemplation will likely be in excess of a century or two.
Hopefully this gets updated - too many of these types of stories focus on petty revenge, so it's refreshing to see an MC go full paragon and show mercy even to his enemies despite his lingering trauma and new power.
All I can imagine is if the team let the MC study how to be more effective with healing spells, hired a tutor to increase his expertise, or found a way to make him a better healer. Rather, they kept him around for convenience and as a punching bag. Poor guy. That team deserves what they got.
MC is able to heal lost limbs which wasn’t the norm in that world. If the team didn’t even realize that then they needed to educate themselves, not the MC
1:09:07 feel good bullshit but honestly this reaction ain't human. maybe this guy rolled the dice and scored the most saintly angry villagers on the planet, but this isn't how people think. 99.99% of people who find out you've been selling them out to monsters that have slaughtered all their beloved family members are suddenly gonna turn around in the same minute and forgive you. Even if there were people that WOULD forgive him, those people would have to go through a long mental process to get to that point; not a minute or 2 after you threatened to wipe them all out. obviously at this rate, mc, the holy saint of justice bestowed by god, that also feels bad about his attempted murderers, is gonna go heal his former allies in a bible-esque tale. Then his old team leader will betray him again (of course, not the women though), getting into some stupid revenge plot about how everything is MC's fault and he'll die when his revenge fails... but MC will still forgive him again in all his holiness. You just can't help but roll your eyes when you've seen enough that you can predict and tell the story before the author can finish writing it.

He says beating 3 werewolves at the same time will be troublesome, but then it's not at all. He also toyed with the undead terror, then made it clear that he could kill it in an instant at any time. Idk how authors think this makes their MC look cool. It just comes off as corny. If you can beat a monster quickly then do it (unless the character is the type to enjoy toying with their opponents, which this MC has not been shown to be). If you can beat the werewolves easily don't pretend you think it will be difficult, but then in the middle of the fight you are walking up slowly with a pose to try to look badass (58:35). Sooooo corny. It's like these authors are permanently trapped in chunibyo.
It may be that, while in the Yggdrasil Dungeon, Rei was mentally broken somewhat, and that he's now come back with something akin to a sociopathic tendency towards doing good rather than the usual associated evil. That does not preclude playing around with his enemies though, as he does tend to "give" his enemies a chance to feel superior to him, before he then arbitrarily just crushes them with raw brute power or strength, thereby demonstrating just how out-classed they were from the beginning!

We were fighting the Shadow of Baine and the tank and other two DPS were *complete fricking morons* who did stupid things like "standing in the lava" and "staying in the circles telling you where Baine was about to pack your shit in" and, surprise surprise, they died. The rookie was doing perfectly well until the idiots idioted. So I told the kid "Okay, focus all your healing on me and DON'T GET HIT." The kid listened to me and I managed to solo SoBaine down from TWO THIRDS of his remaining health (I was a Fire-spec troll mage with maximized Crit) and the rookie kept me alive perfectly well, and we won the fight, all while our dead teammates bitched about how worthless and useless the rookie was and how we should kick him. After we won I humiliated the fuck out of those three dead morons and made sure the rookie got dibs on all the best loot we came across. And that was just one time I saw that shit happen. So these stories are absolutely believable to me.

From what I understood, it was their White Magic healer that apparently survived the ambush, healed what she could of them, and probably got them back to the capital with one of those Transport Gems (definitely not certain about this), before she made her detailed report to the guild, including her conversation with Ray and what he revealed to her when he was trying to sacrifice her life on the alter of his squad's climb to SSS status in the guild! 💀💀💀💀💀 Edit: Also, Rei was renown for being the most powerful of all White Mages, and they intentionally abandoned him deep inside the dungeon when they had the means to escape with him.
You weren't paying attention. THe healer lady clearly called the asshole out for trying to use their healer as a shield. 5 healers in their party have died as well, while the role normally is the safest role. So like anyone with a working brain, they came to the conclusion that they sacrificed their healers

His soul is lost and his damaged eye is proof. The visions of a younger version of himself is proof he died and is a cursed undead.
@ 35:00 we learn just how great the Heal Rei uses. He is basically the best healer. The high MP cost is due to the speed. But that makes no sense. He was such a coward. He could have healed them slower, used less MP, or explained his power once to the leader. They were in a dungeon for 6 months at least and traveled together for years. This story makes zero sense as to why he would be abandoned just because of a little money.
Ah, yes, another "Group Fails Forgets How Important Utility Characters Are." Atra's backstory is kinda stupid. It's *tragic* but why, for the love of all that is holy, did he not simply bring his family with him? I mean, moving to a whole new village would have definitely been difficult, but it's better than being separated for all that time. Plus, he could've protected them if they were in the town he was guarding. I'm not criticizing the writer. I'm criticizing Atra. It's his *own* fault for losing his family.
