Hey FM, give FD a break.... it is completely difficult to walk away from sealed, still in date Food. Period. Offer the neighbors to bring a reusable grocery bag and help move the stuff along. I completely agree that each of us has to monitor what we put in our face, and be fully aware of what it is we are eating, but wasting it seems awful blasphemous. Either way great video! That vanilla cream brioche bread is AMAZING! I never would have spent money on it, but found it in my Aldi dumpster and now I am ready for more! One of the best things about DD is trying things that I never would have if I had to buy it with my money!

I don't think all that sugar would be good for the birds or ducks etc . In our area they ask not to feed bread to the ducks - they suggest - dry oatmeal , fresh or frozen corn , cracked corn or regular bird seed there are other things on the list fruits and vegetables.

I agree with Miss Sherry Frugal Daddy needs to invest in a headlight band it's actually a light that comes with an elastic band that you wear around your head and a GoPro wouldn't hurt either that's a camera that you wear and you don't have to hold

How right you are about using the items that the stores just toss away...shameful! Could be donated to a food bank or soup kitchen or something to help our less fortunate out. Here in Southern California the Walmart dumpster is locked along with cameras all around. That also goes with most of the stores here. Locked and with cameras. You guys are super lucky that yours are not locked.

Frugal Daddy needs a light on his head like a miner lol. Then he'd be hands free. I wish our weather was in the 30's. Here in Minnesota it's frigid. We've got over a foot of snow and -40 wind chills tonight. I learned after 22 years of marriage that I can't get my husband to eat healthy. I gave up. Happy New Year!

Oh, you must be rich!!! You have an electric can opener!:!:!: In the, (South of the South,) we only have manual type openers. Our old style can openers funtion without electricity, which is IMPORTANT as we have various weather related electrical issues.

I did it. My first time today at ALDI. Un-friggin-real. They had a shipload of food in the dumpster. I only picked a few things. You should see those tangerines. I have pics, I don't know how to put them in the comment here. Thank you Guys so much for giving me the idea.

BTW, donuts can be frozen and later cut up in chunks and made into bread pudding! Just use a regular bread pudding recipe and substitute the donuts for bread. Top with warm rum or brandy sauce, bottled butterscotch sauce for kiddos or any sauce you like. PLS try it b/c it works and everyone loves it. I've never lost a stale donut!

You can always use the sweet bread products to feed wildlife or if you know anyone with pigs or chickens, they love it. When I had pet pigs and chickens the Entenmen's outlet had a sign up for farmers (my chickens produced eggs, I did not eat my animals) to get 10 pallets at a time of whatever bread or sweets were going past their shelf date. 10 pallets is about 90-100 packages! It saved a lot on feed. Of course our animals had nutritious, species appropriate feed as well before anyone complains. lol

I am a germophobe , however , i would eat some of the sealed food . bread cakes , pies , vegetables , crackers , anything but meat , eggs , or milk . the food looks better than the trump food boxes

You should leave a ready made box of whatever u don’t need for the next dumpster diver I’m sure there’s a lot a people who go hungry but afraid or ashamed to go in in...I do it myself and always leave what I don’t need in a ready box....

When I was a kid you could by canned goods from the factory without the labels cheap they sold by cases of mystery cans the memories of growing up not so rich. Sometimes kidney or butter beans sometimes corn

It may not sound Godly to say so but I totally into you I get $771 a month on disability and I get a total of $71 on food stamps and believe me if I could go dumpster diving I would in a heartbeat and I would probably be a whole lot healthier
