I being a single struggling mother, have struggled for the last 10 yrs plus to buy groceries. It's a nightmare to go to the store I detest going weekly! I have an Aldi so close I could throw a rock to it and their dumpsters are too. However I've never been diving. Watching you guys makes me want to go this instant. I Google once is dumpster diving legal where I live and it is not illegal. It has rained so much and for so many days here that were all about to float away. I admire what ypu guys do. It feeds ypir family and it saves good food from our landfills. I call fair game! Keep up the good work! 😘 ♥️

Like for example, before we throw away our laundry detergent bottles we put water in them shake it around and add it to our laundry. FRUGAL MOMMA TIP: SPEAKING OF CARS. WHILE WORKING, AND DRIVING 40 MILES A DAY TO AND FROM WORK I SET UP A CAR FUND! EVERY PAYDAY I SAVED A BI-WEEKLY AMOUNT THAT WENT DIRECTLY TO A CAR ACCOUNT AT MY BANK. EVERY 10 YEARS I HAD SAVED ENOUGH TO PAY CASH FOR, NOT A BRAND NEW CAR, BUT A DEMONSTRATOR CAR THAT WOULD HAVE UP TO 500 MILES ON IT'S ODOMETER. NOT ONLY WERE THERE SO FEW MILES ON THE CAR, BUT I ALSO MADE A DEAL WITH THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE A SPECIAL LOWER COST FOR THE CAR BECAUSE I WAS PAYING CASH. IN ADDITION FOR THOSE BONUS DEALS, I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ANY INTEREST ON THE CAR. ADDITIONALLY, I WAS PAID INTEREST ON THE AMOUNT OF CASH I WAS SAVING IN MY BANK ACCOUNT. ANOTHER BONUS WAS I DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY ADDITION INTEREST BECAUSE THERE WAS NO LOAN. Your reveals are always amazing......constantly surprised with what is dumped as waste. Four days this week I ate leftover food from work events that I brought home. It was destined for the trash too.

I love you guyz, so full of good humor. Frugal daddy has the most expressive face and eyes. Frugal mommy is a pistol locked and loaded hehe. My mother did ham, cream cheese, scallions and fresh grated parmesan rolled up and cut into pinwheels, I think it was a Better home and gardens recipe for garden party hor'dourves. Weird what a person remembers.

Celery sticks with peanut butter yummy

Those are Cara Cara oranges, very good & and my favorite...better than all other oranges. The bolonga/ cream cheese ( did they ever use Cool Whip....maybe a false memory I have... or always creme chese?) and sometimes they used other sandwiches meats and rolled it around a pickle then sliced it, stick a tooth pick in it.... the kids ate them before mom had a chance to plate them up. Did your mom fry bolonga slices? Poor mans steak probably but as a kid it was a good day when mom made fried bolonga with mac & cheese! 😀 Its funny how our childhood memories imprint us. If we were served that now I doubt we would be as excited about it as we were back then.

When we were kids we used to take a bologna sandwich put potato chips on it squash it and add mustard.... really healthy..Lol. delicious. 10 kids in r family. All hell broke loose every day. Fun. My Mom used to buy day old Blue Bird pies 10 for $1. We were in heaven on those days!

wow good dive this week...too cold for LDs huh? looks like ya got an italian theme this week...pizza, mozz...:) hey if u havent already, the ALDI in E.W. (behind the gym in one of yer vids last year ...u checked out a red metal dumpster thing)..if u havent been over there in a while, they have some good stuff...finally! no clue how long tho but hopefully a looooooooong while lol. found some interesting stuff..few juices, the bananas look ok but u might want to try that rice/blow dryer trick to revive em. some meats i think, but wasnt too much daylight last time i went by. bring a really bright flashlight. its the type of bin where u kind of have to climb a lil but just bring something to stand on u be fine. dive on kids :)

WOW! That's a LOT of hot dogs and kit Kat's! With your cat having bad breath, that's usually caused by a bad tooth. She may need to see the vet to have her teeth cleaned and checked. Cats won't show sickness until it's really bad. Better an ounce of prevention now. It's cheaper in the long run.

We went last night and scored two towel warmers 1 portable ice maker 1 popcorn popper and one oblong outside table that collapses into with wheels on it all at Aldi's dumpster. Plus a good 40 bottles of Gatorade out of Dollar Trees dumpster and two fresh pizzas from Pizza Hut

Be careful, their cheapest hot dogs tasted spoiled the last two weeks. Like they changed content, they were so gross. We feed a pack everyday to our 5 dogs because it's a cheap fun thing, not their daily food. I always tease them with pretending I am gonna eat it etc and I couldn't even swallow them. Their $1.29 seemed to be alright. If it goes by pack color, the cheapest was a yellowish pkg, and the higher cost was reddish pkg. Try brushing her back teeth to see if it helps her breath, the cat.

My Grandmother use to make the same thing BUT she would use the whole package of bologna and they added horseradish to the cream cheese for extra zest and we called it bologna cake LOL
