Watching the trailer in theaters with my friend the other day, he said to me, “This movie doesn’t really interest me or grab me…” and then they showed a piece of the graveyard scene and he was laughing his ass off. I believe it when you say that’s a great part! It looks like a fun ride.

I know minor bits of D&D lore (spoiler alert), and my knowledge is so limited, the MIMIC excited me because I knew one was in that maze (forgot the trailers showed it) I loved watching the movie as an uninitiated person. I’ve made two characters in my 18 years on this earth and both were elves. However, my dad went with me, and on the way home, we talked about who went in what alignment and it ended in a debate over whether or not witch b*tch was chaotic evil or lawful evil (we settled on lawful for a while but said chaotic because of the unholy coup). I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, and it was a great way to get a deeper look at D&D lore. I’d totally suggest it for anyone else who loves these movies but doesn’t know much about D&D. Don’t let that deter you.

My friends and I decided to get a group to go see it. Since our DnD sessions were always like this movie. Full of shenanigans goofiness. Then afterwards we're going to a local bar that's DnD/board game themed called the green dragon inn where we can play DnD if we wanted!

There’s a very specific scene at the end when Doric turns into a giant bird where she attacks and pounds Sofina, it reminded me when Hulk attacked Loki after he said; “I’m a God you foul creature”. This movie could have easily been placed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

I thoroughly had a fun time watching this. Pleasantly surprised. The chemistry of the characters. Especially Pine and Rodriguez. I wouldnt mind a sequel. Light-hearted fantasy movie. I can say this flick was better than streaming-series of The Rings of Power and Willow. It oddly made me want to rewatch LotR trilogy again. Highly recommended for fantasy genre fans and for family time.

As soon as you displayed that image of the wood panel basement I instantly not only CRINGED repulsively and questioned my manhood, I could also smell the lingering odor of cigerette smoke subconsciously. Ahhh, yes...the 90's were smart times indeed, especially for interior design choices.

Watched this day after Wick: Chapter 4. Its very light-hearted fun. Reminds me of The Mummy movies (Brendan Fraser). Yeah and a bit of Guardians of the Galaxy. Enjoy!

I thought it was going to be some mindless cash grab but it was actually really well done. It was absolutely hilarious, the plot was super unpredictable (literally nothing goes as planned), and it was gorgeous. It actually has some of the best practical/cg effects I’ve seen in a movie in a long time. Highly recommended.

I got tickets to see it tomorrow night. Honestly, I've never played the games, but I'm familiar with it, and I know the basic premise of it. I heard the previous movie was so bad, and I probably won't watch it. I'm excited to see it, since this is my type of genre.

There were 3 DnD installments, actually. The 2000 film spawned a trilogy. But the sequels were made-for-TV & direct-to-video, so most people don't even know they exist.

Fair point that it looks to be better than the last attempt at a Dungeons and Dragons movie. Of course...can save money by not watching either. So it's not really about clearing that low bar. The bigger question is whether or not this one is good enough to be worth spending money on. Didn't find the trailers that funny, but I'm sure those that did will have a blast going to see it.

Hard pass. But I'm old and cranky. I just don't want to see Dungeons and Dragons turned into a comedy. They could have called this something else. Gives me those 21 Jump Street chills. A movie that turned a serious show into a comedy and it was terrible. Both of them.

Would go 2.5 out of 5. Not as bad as I thought it would be, but definitely not a great movie. Cheesy, formulaic, could have been better, but fun. I guess you could call it funny if you are into safe, lame dad jokes. The kind of humor in a Disney kids show. It's PG-13 so not really for an adult audience.

@@rohanasuthkar9543 Maybe, but then I tend to avoid content I don't like even when if they're from content creators I follow. For example, there was a constant love-fest for Tom Cruise that was going on and on that was getting tiresome. Another channel was constantly bringing up _The Orville_ and I stopped watching them for not only that, but other takes that weren't grabbing me. There is a third that expresses his opinions as fact by claiming 'fans' don't want such and such. While I mainly disagree with this particular content creator, every now and then I'll agree with him. A fourth channel was shilling for Disney and I unfollowed them, only returning when they recently did a film that is bad but entertaining ~ _Supergirl._ You have the power to unfollow, thumb down, or post your disagreements in their comment section.
