This is what it's like to watch E3 if you were me. donkey store dunkeyscastle.com/ donkey twitter / vgdunkey donkey twitch / dunkstream donkey wife / leahbee
im sorry but you didnt have to be a psychic to see that coming, every single game they release is broken and then sometimes they'll fix it a few months later
You don't have to be a genius to know battlefield is going to be a flop lol .. you're giving him too much credit. Hes just not a ignorant idiot buying into trailers and hype.
I didn't watch e3 and sorry if this question is retarded but did dunkey really say among us or was that only a joke in this video? Yes im stupid but tbh both could be true
@@Xelfist didn't you hear? the new 50$ dlc has a secret grappling hook in the lobby which allows you to teleport to players and play music with the 50$ radio dlc smh
“And that’s what’s so great about Ubisoft as a company, is that they would never have the balls to do any of that.” I nearly spit out my food at that backhanded compliment of the decade.
I’m not joking though I saw those soup games and thought ”damn that looks good i’d play that that looks better than a lot of these, i’d play a soup-type game”
"Ah another masterpiece to add to my PlayBuffet5 food library, will feast and savor every bite of this meal. Thanks a bunch Chef Todd, looking forward to more of your 5 Star-field dishes." 👌
"I want to kill Chaos" Well if you edit the trailer like that, of course it will- *Watches official trailer* ... The main character literally has two voice lines: the other one is 50 synonyms of "Die."
As long as they keep making 2d Metroids, I don't care if they ever finish Prime 4. The Prime series has always struck me as a game you settle on because you've played all the 2d Metroids and still want more Metroid, and then end up pleasantly surprised by what you settled for.
Yea the whole story about "we had an idea we couldn't implement 15 years ago" But fusion had that similar stalking style, there's been loads of games where you're hiding, running. I think they had an idea, dropped it and then when Metroid released Other M, Space Fed and they tanked the idea was just dropped and they didn't bother. Same reason Star Fox has been sat on again. Don't really believe that it's tech that held it back, look at all the Nintendo games in that period that really pushed the envelope, it comes down to risk - reward no more no less.
I think the Metroid Dread game we have seen during E3 has no connection with the old Metroid Dread project, they just called it that way to hype it up is my theory
did he actually say among us was a good game on a national platform.... if so it's not funny at all. Game companies don't understand sarcasm and your favorite developers are probably gonna take that seriously ffs dunky
Even though I've heard him saying it a bunch of times, it still surprises me that Dunkey loved Into the Breach so much. Although maybe it is actually very Dunkey to say that his favourite tactical, turn based, strategy game.. is actually just a puzzle game with nice art and cool music
Tactical strategy games ARE puzzles when done right. When done wrong, they turn into degenerate "level up your character more and spam OP attacks" like the majority of the ones I've seen.
@@sharp7j I wouldn't say that's true! I think it's the determinism of Into the Breach that gives the gameplay the feeling of solving a puzzle. Whereas typically in a turn based strategy game you can't figure out a "correct move", you can only come up with good moves because you're not certain how the enemies will respond. ItB I think feels like a puzzle game because there are a relatively small numbee of possible moves, and frequently there is a "correct" set of moves which is the only way to take no damage/keep all the goals of the round alive
@@0miy0 the cheese is half the fun. But there are some games that are extra cheesy, like the Final Fantasies. I'm a JRPG fan and honestly FFXVI is the first FF I'm genuinely interested in other than 7
@Spit Dragon I'm just saying that I enjoy Dunkey's take on E3 in a video format more than the event itself. This has little to do with taking the word of a critic over forming my own opinion. No need to insult anyone's intelligence
Video game developers keep doing this thing where they don't release any good games and then keep trying to sell us trash they pulled out of the dumpster last second.
7:42 This game really makes you FEEL like you’re at an anime con carrying the sword you bought in the dealers hall and chilling with your pro cosplay friends
I want a full dunkview too, but I will say the HK section in "The Good Year" vid (i believe) was a big part of getting me to try it. He was very accurate on it being over-all gloomy but with little sparks of playfulness to keep you going.
The fact that Dunkey used his opportunity to share what his favorite indie game was and decided to say "Among Us" with absolutely no second thought makes me so happy.
does it make you happy because he was being ironic and was making a 200 iq bait, or does it make you happy because he said among us. if it's the latter, i have bad news for you my friend.
The game does seem to fix a lot of complaints he had with it, though he might dislike the EMMIs or Adam's textboxes. There are less bosses, more visual variety, less downtime, the counter is way better implemented, etc.
@@r.j.tammaro8383 If you don't like the text, you can just speed through it in a matter of seconds. It's hardly a complaint. Though I will say on a repeat playthrough, the text makes way more sense for why it's there.
Well, his video yesterday wasn't really a Dunkview, but I'm hoping we still get one eventually. Or at least he talks about it in his best of 2021 video.
@@mittensfastpaw It sounds like he's actually excited about mercury stream devs, hopefully that means he's less involved in story and more in gameplay and overall aesthetic. But from the trailer they know what they're doing with this. However if Luigi's mansion 3 is anything to go by, they can do better graphically. A lot better.
Kojima fucking trolled all of us. Starting off with a boring fucking interview he knew nobody would give a shit about. Then just before he leaves he goes: oh yeah also this. People get hyped thinking it's DS2 or DLC and the fucking trailer is just Norman Reedus staring at a fucking box for a minute, stepping into the box for a minute, getting out of the box and fucking leaving. Fade to black: Death Stranding Directors Cut. No one can troll as well as Kojima can honestly.
That makes sense. Less and less people are bothered about watching the Video Game Oscars now-a-days so why not just say that every game that comes out is the best and make loads of money from it?
Not true. What people are complaining about is that there’s no Metroid *PRIME* 4. The prime series is the one that is getting the 4th game which has been in development for a decade since the 3rd came out.
