I don't know how you managed that. I couldn't evade this dudes strikes a single time, even with a shit ton of nuts and two Sprightly Earrings equipped (whatever the plus 50 evasion accessories are called). And my Hikari was level 50 as well. My evasion must have been well over 300, probably over 400 even. I don't know what you did

It was the "Hang Tough" support skill. It allows you to survive any hit as long as your hp is high enough.

Yeah, any element damage will not miss however, you can reflect the elemental damage with a certain buff I think its called "reflective veil". Edit: Out of curiosity, I tried elemental damage on Thurston while having the steam invisibility buff. Turns out, the elemental damage missed. I guess under special circumstances elemental damage can miss.
