@@ollie7070 I just had a look at the Uh-oh Tomatey-o's site and was surprised to see Knack 3 having been announced, with Knack 1 in top 100 games of all time 😎
@@amhirpaladin666 and all we got was nothing any 1st party Nintendo fan cares about. They have been the most dissapointing company to be a fan of this year especially with being so vocal on not caring about fans criticism of paper mario. I am glad I'm also a big halo fan. Infinite looks like so much fun.
@@amhirpaladin666 No one was expecting that after they announced it was a mini direct for partners. They're mad because it should've been a regular direct to begin with. They've had an incredibly dry year, with nothing announced for the second half.
@@conehead9885 This year sucks, get over it. They already took the biggest game release of the year with Animal Crossing, and the entirety of the Switch lifespan has been packed. A dry period was gonna happen eventually.
@@eugenioleanza9190 battle royals are MOBAs of late 2010s. just a new trendy online subgenre of games that became popular due to one successful game that was even more successfully ripped off. in a few years everyone will forget about BR like they forgot about MOBAs and a new trend will emerge.
@@eugenioleanza9190 It seems like every game is either a joyless cash grab or a narrative that takes itself way too serious. Don't get me wrong I like a good narrative but when that's what all single-player experiences are pushing for and they sacrifice the gameplay to get it, it's easy to see why some people weren't so hyped for something like TLOU II
The Halo Infinite enemy isn't coming to Overwatch, DMC6 is actually indie game Little Devil Inside, and the Series X obviously isn't that big. *EVERYTHING ELSE IS ACCURATE.*
Because fun games don't really have realistic graphics and aren't immersive enough. I would rather play red dead 1 over 2 and would take a Jak and daxter and fable game over anything shat out by Ubisoft recently.
@@michaelyearwood6422 are graphics that important though? Tbh, I prefer having good, fresh, and revisitable gameplay over a good looking world. There's a reason people still play Mario Sunshine or 64, despite the fact these games have neither good graphics nor immersive gameplay.
Because fun is relative, some people like my boah michael yearwood have fun by roleplaying as a cowboy and looking at horse balls so they play games like red dead redemption 2 others like to get tortured so they play dark souls other people like absolute garbage so they play ubisoft titles other people like wasting 3/4 of their lives grinding shit so they play mmorpgs All of them play different things, but each of them have fun
"Hard to get excited about games when you have no idea if you'll be alive when they release." No idea how much he means it, but Dunkey's statement is really acute regarding game announcements and my enthusiasm in recent months
> "Devil May Cry 6 is going in a different direction" > "Dante surfs on a Penguin" - That doesn't sound like a different direction at all, I think that was even in DMCV

Why people be hating on Ubi though? There presentation was actually good this year. I am fucking excited about Watch dogs 3 and Far cry 6 especially cause the antagonist is starred by my favourite actor and also cause they bringing the voice actor for the protagonist back.
@@debetrolence1991 people hate on UBI cause they just copy paste their own stuff and when they don't they try to ripoff other successful games and then come up with generic games with microtransactions in the process In short: they do nothing original
“This is the same Halo we’ve been playing since 2001.” I kinda thought that was the point, though. People were angry with the direction 343 Originally took the game in and wanted it to be more like the originals.
Meanwhile Doom and Wolfenstein gave themselves a modern makeover while still keeping the original elements that made them great. Sorry, but if you don't grow you stagnate, and that's what Halo has done. Stagnated.
@@infinitypilot I mean, I'm not gonna simp for Xbox because I honestly don't care that much, but halo 5 was the "modern makeover." it added in a bunch of new movment mecanics, sprint clamber, ground pound, thruster pack. And the community hated it. The game play was stale and copy cat of better games with more refined movment mechanics (ahem titanfall) and it basically became this middle ground: it wasnt good enough to be something unique, but wasn't halo enough to be Halo. So while I guess it could have been handled better, I feel like halos 1,2,3,& reaches strengths were in the sandbox and just how many different combinations of game-types, fun, and unique sessions could be had by simply expanding the sandbox and using those elements as the legos to create mp maps and single player encounters. There's actually a large portion of the halo community that hates sprint, since it inherently forces a change in mp level design (just as halo 5s mechanics force higher walls to block sight lines and longer stretches without cover etc). But to each there own opinion, I personally don't really want another doom or wolfsteinish game, because while fun, they proved to be pretty shallow play-once-and-put-down games. The first play through was great of wolfstein but there was no reason to replay it, or any kind of multiplayer that was even close to enticing in either game, which is where halo needs to thrive and offer endless replayablity if it wants to succeed. Halo 4 chased cods success, halo 5 tried to be titan fall halo and failed miserably... I'm okay with this new one attempting to just be halo, but hopefully done well. And og halo is unique enough in this day and age, there's really nothing that overlaps it, or scratches the exact itch that bungis halos did.
Your opinion is nitpicking and biased. It's obvious you don't have the brain to handle these caliber of comments as well as enjoy strand-type games. I win, bye bye!
Guy in the mirror Halo was always popular because of its multiplayer. Its linear, mediocre storytelling never made it special. Open-world gameplay won’t make it special either.
Yvng SwaggerTron-3000 Of course. I have many fond memories of playing Reach with my buddies back when I was in high school. Regardless, Halo’s story isn’t anything special. It doesn’t even come remotely close to other sci-fi gems like the Bioware classics of KOTOR and Mass Effect. But that’s not a bad thing- Halo was never a story-driven RPG that emphasized character development. Halo is like Doom- a game where you shoot the bad space monsters and stay up until 3:00 AM laughing with your friends. Not every game is story-driven. Not every game needs to be.
But isnt Overwatch 2 mostly single-player missions and extras? Last time I checked, the new heroes were going to be released for OW1 simultaneously, to capitalize that playerbase.
@Mr. Moe Context is important. Fun or not, Infinite is poised as the game that's selling you on a next gen investment. For a lot of people, the visuals are what makes people put down that $400+ on a new console. Halo Infinite looks fun. But nothing about it makes you(in the general sense, not you specifically) want to spend $400 - $500 to play it, when it can(and will run on a console people already own) with no change, except resolution. Which is problematic, because as much as Microsoft wants to keep Xbox One owners staying on their old console, they don't want people to ignore their next gen console. And having no reason to get a Series X, besides a resolution up and maybe some other minor things, but the same graphics on the games, all that you can play on your old console, are great incentives to ignore the Series X's existence. At least until Microsoft drops support for Xbox One. But by then(if they stick true to what they've said), a chunk of people will just by the Series X used, or it will be discounted. Though, I could imagine that Microsoft wants to ditch consoles, they're just trying to figure out a way to keep their console owners paying them monthly without needing to make/sell a console. Which is most likely why they're pushing Gamepass so hard.
@@SakuraAvalon That was because the 8 minutes of gameplay was on a older build. Meaning the graphics do not represent what Halo infinite would truly look like. Funny, but the gameplay trailer (1 minute one) is on a newer build and looks wayyyy more impressive, definitely a next-gen graphics. And the whole other part doesn't make any sense as you said. I just think they're trying to travel into different levels of price as it's cheaper with Xbox gamepass; than to say buy a next gen console.
@@SakuraAvalon that gameplay was from around 6 months ago, and they are also having a day one patch that has raytracing, so idk about you but that sounds really promising
