This song reminds of time when the world and life where simple. Enjoying when I was very young. When all my family was alive and we were all together. Cousins got along. Now half of my family has passed and the rest of the family is just broken.

I play a Fender Jazz so I’m never going to get that tone but Duran Duran basslines are great for teaching you new tricks and ideas Are you bassist?

Meus 2 centavos Foi a última geração de verdadeiros MÚSICOS. Caras que passavam ANOS aprendendo melodia, ritmo e harmonia ANTES de gravar alguma coisa. Naquela época era uma VERGONHA vc subir no palco sem dominar pelos menos um instrumento. Fora que todo mundo curtia música boa, independente de raça, posição política ou orientação sexual. O PÚBLICO tinha ouvido musical e gente sem talento não tinha chance Foi também a geração que deu (sem querer) o pontapé inicial da decadência: transformaram música em IMAGEM com os videoclipes (que eram excelentes). Daí pra frente virou business. A grana entrou forte e a vergonha desapareceu. Junto com a música Pra completar, o público se tornou IMBECIL, confundindo sucesso (GRANA!) com talento. A indústria descobriu que qualquer LIXO podia fazer sucesso (com o marketing correto). E que produzir lixo sai super BARATO

This, along with The Chauffer, have been my favorite Duran Duran songs since they were released on Rio. I think I was 10. I still love a good song in a minor key.
Some of the most painful moments of my teenage life, I spent listening to this song. And I'm in my 50's and it brings me back and I just want to cry. It is amazing how powerful this song still is.
