You'll definitely have to be willing to depart from conventional controls, especially moving Fire *off* of Right Trigger as there's no way you'll be able to reach that with your right thumb on the pad. I'm getting closer to my ideal config and enjoying it so far, though! I guess I'm lucky in that I didn't play many console shooters and thus didn't have to "unlearn" any habits. I'll share a handcam and my settings soon.

Hey Icy! The Deck's trackpads are still much better in terms of resolution, size and placement, along with the customizable haptic click. But I still prefer trackpad-turning on the Go compared to regular stick control or Flick Stick. There is one annoying quirk where if you hold a tap, it will freeze the cursor a bit, then vibrate, because that's how the default trackpad click works. So I can't just rest my thumb on the pad. I only put it on when actively swiping/moving my thumb. I'm still seeing if I can disable this, but it might be built in to the firmware, unfortunately. This also means I have to have Gyro Always On, which I got used to. I'm not hyper-sensitive about different polling rates and what-not, but subjectively the Go's gyro seems fine. Although the Deck's gyro does still seem better in terms of accuracy and responsiveness. I'm still adjusting and tweaking settings, though; once that's finalized I'll share a guide and more thoughts. I do like the feel of the Go's back buttons, with the exception of the awkward one on the right. I wish they made the right symmetrical instead of changing it to accommodate FPS mode. The other three buttons are plenty for most games, though. Overall, I like the big, high resolution screen enough that I think I can live with the Go's flaws, because input-wise, there's still no other device that even comes close to the Deck. I will definitely continue to keep and use my Deck, I still love it and never planned on getting rid of it!

Have you tried the latest version of Handheld Companion for Windows? That should get Gyro configurable in Steam. Be careful with the older HC versions which can soft-brick the Go if you try to uninstall it, requiring Windows reinstall. The only reason I had to use Bazzite is because HC does not properly map the trackpad or back buttons. Only Aru's Linux Dualsense Emulation edge plugin does it.
