The Caldari homeworld of Caldari Prime is located in the Gallente-controlled Luminaire system. Tensions between the planet's idealistic Gallente and hard-nosed Caldari populations have erupted into all-out warfare, and now the immortal DUST 514 mercs and EVE Online capsuleers fight a cross-game battle to control this pivotal planet.
Watch this trailer to see how these two amazing games interact! Back when Titanfall used to be a big thing and I kept hearing people yelling "Prepare for Titanfall!" shivers ran down my spine because it constantly reminded me of this.

The thing is, if something big enough, like Leviathan, would hit the planet... It 'll be like when dinosaurs fall. So, with Leviatan pined there, in the ground, the planet would be... hell.

You can't really compare the two events. The meteor that hit 65 million years ago had a speed way higher than that of the Leviathan's, also the Leviathan's mass is spread out than the average meteor.

C'était UN CONCEPT ÉNORME, et participer à ces mythiques combats restera un super souvenir. Dommage que la PS3 était déjà en fin de vie. Aussi, le jeu, il serait sorti comme il était à la fin (armes expérimentales, barge de guerre fini, missions quotidiennes,...) sûre, les joueurs auraient plus accroché. Un grand regret, comme beaucoup d'autres mercenaires j'étais grand fan de ce projet 😕 Allé CCP, c'est ça que vos fan voulaient voir 👌

Wait...these are caldari trying to take back Caldari Prime from the Gallente, right? Because its currently controlled by the Gallente, and blockaded right? Then why did they kill the Caldari titan? Why was there a Caldari titan there in the first place?

The Caldari had used a Leviathan to take back the planet, and left it there to maintain control. This battle resulted in a shaky peace with both empires sharing the planet.

Why is a Gallente fighter fighting Caldari with a Caldari ship? Dafuq?

It could be a way of trying to trick the Caldari. In a real combat scenario you would dress like the enemy to hide among their ranks, they could be implying that the ship was at first thought to be friendly and that is how they actually managed to get it through the defense force, i mean really now how else would a destroyer actually get past all of the Caldari defense force.

Shadowofthenight 1.) They'd see he is not blue on the overview 2.) There's no way that subcaps/caps/titans can hit tiny ships like destroyers. Plus, they'd be focused on the enemy flagships Nice theory though.

It looks like the Caldari have some sub cap ships and with the trailers not really fallowing the in game to well, it could be they don't have an overview but need to scan down each ship like we do with aircraft here on Earth, so if the ship was stolen with out the Caldari noticing, it could show up as friendly, Am I putting to much thought into this...lol

Conflict TV Capsuleers can fly any ships they have trained for, I fly every t1 ship up to battlecruiser, it was a strike force of capsuleers.

It is good to see my Gallente Brothers and Sisters retake what was ours. I almost wish I could have seen that cursed Titan fall with my own eyes, but with my low combat skills, I would have just been another shipwreck.

Well it certainly opened a hole in the sky, allowing us to see the nebulas of New Eden and flaming wreckage continuously flew for 2 straight days. I was a DUST mercenary, and I was there. (I've always wanted to say that..)

Yeah, it's being showed pretty consistently that the Avatar titan was a mean piece of kit. Remember the portrayal in Templar One? Three fleets were wailing at the Avatar and the Avatar was doing just fine, picking off supercarriers and dreads like it was nothing. At one time, a rather sizeable chunk of the Mordu's Legion fleet crashed into the Amarr fleet, some of which even hit the titan. Not small ships either. The Avatar simply shrugged it off and doomsdayed one of their supercarriers.

I'm American, and I agree. I expected the Gallente to talk with slightly French accents. I imagine it comes down to marketing, though, they don't want potential American subscribers thinking it's not available in North Am.

I am now completely convinced by this trailer that the events I was a part of were in no part scripted and predetermined. That multiple branches were not explored and ruled out for the sake of making the Gallente look cool and the Caldari bad.

Use equipment, like drop uplinks for your squad to spawn on, injectors to revive them. There are different dropsuits with their own strengths and weaknesses that compliment each other (like logistics dropsuit repairing/supplying a heavy dropsuit).

It takes place simultaneously. If you do fleet and ground operations, TS3 really really really helps. You also have three different strikes, a normal one, a wider area lower damage one and then a more focused higher damage one.

Thing is, No caldari were able to even get into the system to help the titian. The Gallente had a complete advantage the entire event. Every time a state Ship would enter, it would get destroyed before it could even line up for the jump to the planet. They even had the map that you would fight on with the dead titan on it leaked a week or so before the event even stated.

The short answer would be yes. The main problem is that it takes time to try out, and see enough in the universe to get a grip on what you like, what is fun, and what is lucrative. It took me about half a year's subscription to see everything for myself to say that, given a good corporation, and free time, it would be something for me. Sadly, I lack the immerse ammount of time to play it enough so that it would become free to play for me.

For a 10 year old MMO with a learning curve often described as a cliff (I didn't think it was so bad...took time, but the spaceships were too cool to quit) they're doing very well. Most fail in the first couple years. Reaching into the console world is an incredibly smart step, if they can pull it off well with EXCELLENT marketing and EXCELLENT content. My bet is most of the players, once they get a feel for fighting on the ground, will fire up the computer and get into the space action.

Dust has been pretty well received, so far. Dust isn't also coming to the Xbox because Microsoft declined, saying it would take too much work on the back-end to make the game compatible with the MMO. It was not CCP's decision to go playstation exclusive, and they've hinted heavily that the game will also be released on PC later. The plan is to minimize how many Eve players jump in to give console players time to establish their industrial base before the industrialists from Eve arrive.

200 vs 200 battles and even larger are actually common in EVE. Almost daily 200 vs 200 battles happen.

they used to do a new build every 2 to 3 months. Those new builds did amazing things to the game when you compare it to its older versions. Imagine how great the next build will be when they have had 4 months to work on it already? Racial dropsuits, new weapons equipment and vehicles. Planetary Conquest, and much more are coming within the next month or two. Its not that there slowing down the content production, there just putting it all in one massive 30 gig :( update

The space battle was not the version that we had on tranquility. There's way to few ships around the Titan for that. I guess the trailer team recreated it with their special machinima software.

Dust is coming to the PC. Hilmar dropped several hints. Along the lines of "it's not out of the question" and "Dust full supports Keyboard and Mouse, I wonder why we did that" [paraphrased].

Your PC version of Dust is EVE. What I mean by that is, they specifically launched the game for PS3 because they wanted non-EVE or PC gamers interested in the EVE universe. They didn't want to risk splitting the established PC community.

The game can't force you to play tactically, but it certainly gives you the tools to do so, and has depth much beyond Halo; if you don't see that, then you didn't really spend much time with this game at all. Join an organized corp, play with a squad with mics, make sure your voice chat is on instead of off (also turn off push to talk). Play Skirmish instead of Ambush. If you're squad leader, set squad orders (R2+R3 opens squad commands for squad leaders, point and R1 to set 1 when selected).

Possibly, but if those battles in the video aren't really exact to some of the battles I've fought. Some pretty awesome moments in DUST have happened to me. I've had two orbitals strike down and we moved in to clear a null station. It loos better than it sounds.

The Titan did break in half before entering atmopshere, with the aft half exploding after a reactor meltdown. And the other half did have a lasting impact on the planet, Caldari Prime's crust was destabilized and the shockwave direly affected a city ~700km away from ground zero.

Dev Generated Events are required to push forward the story of the NPC-controlled factions. Warfronts are directly affected by players in Factional Warfare, and stories are made in Null-sec and Wormhole Space, but those in Empire are under direct control of the content creators on the Dev team.

Battles like that are pretty rare I guess. You usually see titans accompanied by much larger fleets.

The Caldari are actually more ruled by a gathering of the largest megacorperations which the Caldari actually are. The strong point of Caldari is that they are fond of military tradition and conscription, and with the inernal competition between corperations they have more progress on tech and a strong economy as they want to outdo the other corperation. Yes, there is a Caldari state that rules over planets but the corperations have the biggest say in all caldari dealings.

They did to be fair, have double the cap fleet. However that was due to gallente prime being in the same system. However nothing was stopping the playerbase from keeping the titan alive, which is awesome. Sadly of the 1400 in system it was confrimed that 1000 PLAYERS were shooting the titan at the same time :P

It's not that simple. The Caldari "just held" it, sure, but they were not fine with the mixed Gallente/Caldari population, and the Gallente citizens were suffering. That resulted in revolts and civil unrest. To "keep the peace" the Caldari brought the Shiigeru titan into the Luminaire system, threatening to fire it at Caldari Prime. Essentially, the Caldari were holding the entire population of the planet hostage under the barrels (or missile bays) of a titan.

He was elected, just it was done Caldari style. The Broker bought him Caldari Constructions via very underhanded methods, then went on to get him the support of (some of) the Navy and either twisted the arms of the rest of the Megacorps or dropped a Nyx on them. Gave him massive public support, so according to the 'rules', he made himself head honcho with everyones 'blessing'. Close enough to being elected given the way the Caldari work.

As The Leader of Smart Deploy one of the games biggest alliances i strongly agree with a rebuild to ps4 it was not only a game i loved to play but it was a team of great friends who i really miss and considered family .. Smartcrew family i miss u all .. Blazze Aura OUT ..
