Arthur: *donates $10,000,000* Dutch 20 minutes later: "Arthur, I've noticed you've stopped putting money into the box." Micah: *donates a blade of grass* Dutch: He's like the son I've never had...
It would’ve been really cool if there was just an ending where you donate a certain amount and it just shows the gang going to Tahiti. Then just loads the save before you made the donation
@@BazookaBeanIsEpic Your post reads like you just want to put someone die to feel good. What happened in your life where you decide to behave like this.
I always assumed that what we donate are camp funds for improvement. While there is a separate "Tahiti" fund which is where major heists are donated to. Which is why by the end of the game John doesnt recover the camp funds and instead gets a fixed amount after confronting Micah and Dutch in the mountains. That was the Tahiti funds which Dutch basically sat around since it just became all about the money instead of for the good of the group.
I know it wouldn't be possible, but it would have been hilarious if upon contributing some really ridiculous amount of money like this, Dutch just says now the gang can go to Tahiti and the game ends. 😂
Hell, I'd have been happy just to see more reaction period. With all the depth they put into this, I'm surprised they didn't think to make him flip out or something finding he's rich lol
In 1899 USD, that would've been MORE THAN enough to split the gang up with equal portions of the loot, and financially set not only themselves but their grandchildren up for life.
Way more than that, even if 1 dollar of the time is technically the equivalent of today's 35 you could do well more stuff with that 1 dollar than with 35 today
They should have added an Easter egg ending where, if you donate a certain amount, the game just stops and cuts to you, Dutch, and the rest of the gang relaxing on an island, with an old-fashioned "THE END" written on the screen. Maybe an "I told you I had a plan, Arthur!" voiceover.
at some point I straight up put over 800 dollars out of my own pocket for camp upgrades in one go and Grimshaw and Dutch had the audacity to tell me I wasn't contributing
I spent over $1000 on upgrades and looked at the ledger where all the other morons at camp donated literal cents and I was still the one getting shit for not contributing.
Arthur: Now can we go to Tahiti Dutch: No! I have a plan ooarthur. we have to stick to the plan. Would you please just have a little faith? We have Micah out here EARNING OUR DREAM!
After beating the game and starting over. My 2nd time around, I stopped progressing in the story just before Sean dies. Just enjoy going around and returning back to camp with Arthur and the whole gang intact 😊.
@@ardex9677 Macro, on PlayStation? Unlikely, especially as you just need to clamp down d-pad up anyway. The video clearly shows the donation rate and it's very slow.
It really bugs the shit outta me how detailed this game is, and yet you can make over a grand in the entire game easily but not get a reaction from Dutch like, “HOLY SHIT ARTHUR WHERE TF DID YOU GET THAT”
@@SunlightGwyn Eh, not necessarily. By Chapter four Milton is set on hunting them down to the ends of the Earth (Ross continues this mission.) The unfortunate truth is that even if they did escape to Tahiti, they'd likely be followed, at the very least for Dutch, which again would just simply cause the game except this time on Tahiti.
@@memesarekeem Tahiti is in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Milton isnt chasing them anywhere outside the country. That’s way beyond his jurisdiction and he would have no way of knowing they were even there.
@@SunlightGwyn They were found and enslaved on Guarma before barely escaping Fussar who knew who they were. Guarma is a Spanish colony and likewise Tahiti is a French one. Western world all the same, they would have been recognized.
Bruh i just imagine dutch sending arthur off like “arthur go do everything. Dont ask what everything means just do it” he gets back and everyone is gone and theres just note that says “were in tahiti nerd P.S we need more money arthur. Go get it.”
I always wanted a secret ending that if you donated like 100k+ or something ridiculous for back then, it would just cut to this secret story missions of going out west and that's how you unlocked the new austin area for Arthur as they make their getaway from the law.
Yeah but the game already took 8 years to make imagine if they had to do that it would easily take like 10 years total to finish the game, and they wanted Game of the Year for 2018 or something I heard
@@Jpuclin yeah it wouldn't have made sense for the story and Rockstar is known for its linear story line, they don't usually let you change their story much
There really should’ve been a secret ending where if you donate enough money you can just go to Tahiti, or maybe Arthur could’ve just abandoned the gang and left on his own randomly
Arthur: (donates the entire world debt worth in cash but refuses to collect from the last 2 debtors Strauss threw into poverty) Dutch: So you're betraying me too, Arthur?? I need you on my side, NOT AGAINST ME Micah: (donates 5 cents and a beer cap) Dutch: He's like... the son I never had
This is why I’d love to see a dlc or add on or smth where if you send in enough money, you get an alternate ending where the gang’s all living life on a farm in Tahiti
A: "Dutch, we have more than enough money. We can literally BUY TAHITI if we wanted to." D: "Arthur... are you implying I don't have the group's best interests at heart? Why would we settle for buying Tahiti when we can buy AMERICA and make it the land of opportunity for people like US! We could buy the entire COUNTRY and make it FREE!" A: "dutch why are you like this"
It'd be so funny if Rockstar had anti-cheating measures, Dutch just walks over and takes the money "I insist you stop with your meddling Arthur, you're gonna get us in trouble"
And then you got the alternate ending: The gang rides out into the sunset, no more crimes, no more killing, just finally free. And Micah’s corpse in a ditch. The end.
@@MironBleek Micah was'nt a traitor, he was pond scum & only cared about himself. Arthur should've been the one to kill him, then he could've died with a smile on his face.
“OORTHUR, You’re not thinking BIG enough. You’re like a son to me, so when I say I have a plan, I expect some GODDAMN FAITH. Why would we settle with TAHITI, when we can BUY America, and make this land well and truly FREE?! We need more money, OARTHUR! Arthur: *falls over in a flash of dizziness*
Arthur: Donates 10 000 000 $ Dutch: " I have a plan, Arthur, you have to trust me, we just need little bit more money and then we can disappear somewhere far away"
THATS WHAT I LIKE TO SEE?!?! Dutch should've told the whole camp to pack up and get on a boat to Tahiti right there and then, what's wrong with this guy
I get that you really can't change the story of the game but come on no matter how much money is in that bucket Dutch is still complaining about not having money I always donate plenty to the camp in my playthroughs and honestly it just makes Dutch more annoying and the cut scenes when he's talking about money
Specifically when I just donate like a hundred or so dollars and in my act of walking away they say "wow arthur do you even help us here anymore ? " and I was so angry I just ran back over to The ledger and looked at all the money I've given compared to everyone else. One of my biggest gripes with the game is if you're going to have a world and put me in it, it better notice that I'm there doing stuff
I stopped donating for some time because i was gone hunting for a few days. Came back to Ms. Grimshaw saying she noticed i stopped putting in the money. Put 1000 dollars in the box. Happy now Ms. Grimshaw???
This was probably my only gripe with the game (besides the online). I wish they gave some kinda alternate ending where if you donate enough money the gang gets to leave for tahiti; they don't even have to succeed in leaving, could get caught or the ship sinks or something so u continue the game (mostly) normally
that's the same reaction as the time I threw in an old bronze pocketwatch I somehow found on a mysterious corpse out in a field and who I don't know killed. big mystery, that corpse and several others.
I actually wish they had made an alt ending where the gang goes off to live free somewhere if you were to do this. Just a tiny cutscene of them living on some island with a final few quips exchanged between Arthur and Dutch.
