TY for the instruction. I had a Tama cymbal arm and the DW didn't fit. I switched over to Gibralter extension arm I had and it worked perfection. Now a new thing to hit.....Yeah!!!
Thanks for the video. I just purchased this attachment, and you guessed it. No instructions. I came up with the same setup and connection as you did, so you pretty much confirmed how to set it up. I guess it's kind of common sense, but it's always good to have a second opinion.

I think that hi hat piece would be perfect for me cause I have a hard time getting my hi hats to hit that nice and smooth sound when I have to adjust it with my foot! So this'll be a lot easier for me to get a good sound and really easy and quick just by setting them on there in the closed position and then moving the dial and find the perfect sound I want really quick! Thanks for making this video man!
I'm trying to figure this thing out as well, since I just bought one. I think this hardware is also sold as a stacker, so the nut you initially removed probably stays off, and I don't think there should be a felt over the bottom cymbal unless you want a more muted sound. At least that's how I'm gonna set it up. Thanks for sharing the video!
My two cents here: The nut stays over the bottom cymbal so if angling the hats on the boom like at a 45 degree angle for instance, the bottom cymbal stays in place much better than not using the nut.
Thanks for reviewing this one as there are a lot of these on the market to choose from. I bought a Gibraltar one which has a height adjustment lever on the bottom. I also cut and welded the arm 2" shorter, removing the original threaded portion. I never like how tall these attachments are and most all of them have you tighten down the set screw onto the threads anyway which can destroy them if you ever go back to a typical cymbal mounting.
I just purchased this in order to have a 10” satellite hi hat, but when I set it up the way you did in the video it won’t close all the way. The bottom nut (on top of bottom cymbal) and the top nut (on bottom of top cymbal) hit each other. Anyone else have this issue? Do my 10” cymbals just not have enough height for this stand?
I have had this incremental clutch for almost a year now and the tiny metal piece that goes inside the metal turning part of the clutch keeps coming out. It's in the hole right above the hinge part of the top piece. Have you experienced this problem yet?
