What I really like about the Protocol cards is that while yes they are all good and cheap, you can't avoid them without order tokens. You can always Aim/Dodge or Move, You can get around Attack but not the others, they keep the downside of AI no matter what and I really like that.
That was a good breakdown with some cool theory crafting for builds. Spider droid looks super fun, and I agree about the ion, I think that keyword will make a big comeback soon!
I definitely agree with the b+ ranking here. They seem solid but not too crazy. I feel if they made the ion cannon not exhaustible theyd be a solid A for anti armor but its nice to see how balanced they made everything with this unit. A nice addition to the separatists for sure
Reaction on your comnents of Armour3 in relation to Armour on the AT-RT: I think there can be made a argument here. Spiderdroids are quite thin at the metal parts in their legs. Sure they probably got some good hydrolics or something to be able to climb, but the steel parts that serve as armour arent that good probably. Also knowing the Seperatists the building materials probably couldn't be too expensive, since swarming cheap droids is their go to tactic. While the AT-RT probably has some thicc technology and quality legs. Not to mention the 'torso' part of the walker is very bulky. I am sad that the driver can't be shot out of the walker with some kind of mechenic where surrounding trooper clones can remount it, but that wouldnt be balanced at all. So I am glad it is like this.
With upgrade cards am I only suppose to use for example the coms cards from my spider droid or can I use any coms card i own on a unit that has the coms upgrade.
@@grahamoconnor7363 I don't know why I thought it moved, I guess it just made sense to me that the DSD's head moves. Are you telling me that between the movies and and the TV show, we never see a spider droid move its head. Now that I think about it, I don't recall seeing it do so.
