Honestly if Wade was healthy, he would be above Kobe for sure and it would have been between him and Jordan with Jordan above. To me Wade's game was more like Jordan than Kobe. Kobe was a better shooter than Jordan and had more skills but Wade had athleticism like Jordan and getting to the rim and those midrange shots. One player to me people forget is Jerry West. He is very underrated and I could put him as #2 or #3 of all time SGs. His numbers are crazy and especially playoffs.

He was better than Kobe from 2005 to 2011 on aggregate. He just had major injuries a couple of times in between which made him miss a lot of time and then he needed some time to get up to speed... But when he was healthy was putting up 28/6/7 on 49% FG... Better slasher and finisher than Kobe, better passer. Kobe was a better shooter though, but not by enough in my estimation, because he wasn't an elite 3pt shooter and he had a tendency of taking too many bad long mid-range shots.

@@z-mane1438 U forgot to mention the version of Shaq that Wade had was at least 3 times worse than the version of Shaq Kobe had from 1998 to 2004 when he was stacking rings (and should've honestly stacked more if he was a better player with lesser ego). Shaq averaged 14 points in the Finals against Dallas... And he missed 34 out of 48 FT's... Those not good numbers... Compared to Shaq from 2000-2002 when he literally averaged 35 ppg on good efficiency... How are you trying to tell me it's comparable bro. You know it ain't Wade won a title in 2006 with less helped than Kobe ever did as the top dog (2009, 2010). Kobe had way more help in those years. How was Kobe better in 2011 when he was outplayed head 2 head in a series by both CP3 (on a garbage squad) and Dirk? Kobe averaged 23 ppg (46% FG) more turnovers than assists against Dallas in 2011... Against the same team, Wade averaged 26.5 ppg (55 FG) more assists, better defense... You tweaking, bro. Drinking too much of that ESPN Kobe narrative kool-aid. Wade was a better player in his prime... Dude was leading his team to the Finals and won a title at 23/24 years of age as the best player on his team. AT the 2008 Beijing Olympics Wade led Team USA in scoring off the bench. He was better even in that setting. From 2009-2011 he was better too cause you can argue that was his apex as a player.

Wade was lethal. He’s a top 10 all time player without the injuries. He’s widely regarded as the third best shooting guard of all time so he does get his credit. We could talk about his slashing all day but than we’d also have to point out that he didn’t have an elite jumper
@Diamante777
@Diamante777 8 месяцев назад
@@sicnarf6971 clearly his build was great enough to win him chips and fmvp. His playstyle didn't need an elite jumper when you're the fastest slasher in the league. that was his gift and he maximized that ability to win
@sicnarf6971
@sicnarf6971 8 месяцев назад
@@Diamante777 Clearly you're a fanboy, all g. It's called "shooting guard" for a reason. Add an elite jumper to Wade's game.. and he would just be that much better. No need to make excuses for having a weakness
@J0R9
@J0R9 8 месяцев назад
@@sicnarf6971he had an elite mid range at his peak, he just wasnt super good at 3s. He wasn't Rondo or Westbrook. His jumper inside the 3pt line was money.
@sicnarf6971
@sicnarf6971 8 месяцев назад
@@J0R9 No he did not have an elite mid range. He had his time but was very inconsistent for his career. An easy way to tell a players jumper is by his FT%. Wade only passed 80% once in his career (barely at 80%), Kobe only shot less than 80% once in his career (barely at 79%). Kobe had an elite jump shot. Wade was special because his ability to get an d finish at the rim.

One thing people dont talk alot about is how fresh off injury D Wade turned back the clock in a key momentum moment late in the Beijing 2008 Gold Medal game. He was a throwback player anongst his peers.

Did I miss something? I could've sworn I saw this entire interview a few months ago at the beginning of the summer (May/June). Love D.Wade (I saw him play at the garden in 2018). I was so close to courtside before the game while he was warming up. I wanted to scream his name to say hi (I'm a big heat fan). But as a young woman in my 20's I didn't want him to think I was a groupie so I didn't. I have great footage though! Anyway, is there a reason I'm not aware of as to why this interview has been re-released??

I have lived in LA,CA my whole life. I am a lifelong Lakers fan. Why not? Kobe was great. He was also in the right place at the right time. Shaq, the Lakers, Phil Jackson. This man, Dwane Wade, was one of the most interesting and successful Shooting Guards of all time. Mr Wade at a young age was doing good things for his community in Miami. He is one of the most easy to respect players I can remember. I dont think he made alot of friends in his opponents though. Something like Chris Paul has so many friends in the NBA. Not :D. Carry on Mr Sharp. Great Show.
