March 4 1988 I was 16, and we just got back to buddies house after seeing Rush live at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. Megadeth Anarchy in the UK came on Headbangers Ball. I was still tripping a bit from some blotter. It was an impressionable moment, song, and video - so much so I had to tell you that story. Thanks Pete!
Lmfao! Hysterical title! Just new to your stuff from watching Finnegan's channel and I see why he said your hysterical. I was wondering about your soundtrack until I saw you in front of a few goodies that make good sounds stuff, so I reckon your the maestro. I'm up in Pawtucket Rhode Island not doing as much stuff as I used to. Shit happened, but I can enjoy watching your talents and y'all having fun, so I reckon I'm good at doing that sort of stuff. Glad I found your channel. I think Mike needs a wheely bar, not two gaudy ones that stick way out, just a single discreet one that sits in the middle like I've seen on a car or two running Drag Week, that thing bites hard with your killer Hemi build! Thanks 👍
We use to use this phrase "Polishing Turds" many many years ago while fixing machines in a factory where I worked. I love the song. Channel is very informative, interesting, real, and funny. Thanks.
It’s like I’m getting to go to the Harvard of drag racing school but I get to learn all this at my house. Thanks Pete sincerely I always have my notebook out when I watch your channel.
Great video. Would really like to see it back on the dyno with the new converter so you can talk about the new characteristics. And what the tighter converter did. Please keep the videos going on this season 2 build !
Wouldn't a tunable converter be sick if it were able to be done while still mounted in the transmission if it were somehow possible that would be sweet. Dont ask me how youd do it lol
Man i love the sound of procharged/ centrifugal superchargered cars when you can really hear them screaming at idle Cant wait to see leroy rip with your motor to!
Just watched Putting Leroy Back together and had to subscribe... love the music track.... I play to this kind of Rock everyday but clicked on for the Motor build .... I'm old.. I like all this stuff... and then this vid que-ed and I love the song that kicked this thing off.... lmao ! big time.... (paused to comment) back to the vid!
That sounded like stomping on a cat..not just steppin. Very noticeable difference, yall are amazing, love the details for dummies(me) I know enough to get me in trouble. Love your videos!!
My boss loves listening to me talk to customers about their setups and parts they might need. He says it’s like watching wizards work. I’ve always loved converters, and grew up down the street from Neal Chance they’re so freakin important.
@@BigDonk420 I build cars for a private collector but we take in one off jobs, once a every couple months. Usually a friend of a friend kind of thing, mostly for sand drag chassis around here but they all use converters. I’m just about to start putting together a stock block 376 solid roller with twins for the Porsche I’m building which means I’m going to have to stalk to my converter guy soon. I’ve always enjoyed making a chassis work which means I need to know how a converter affects the tune up. I always had 4-6 different converters ready to swap out depending on what a car needed. Now I can tune up the spare and swap it real quick. Bolt together converters were a lifesaver. I’m an enthusiast at best. Pete is the pro.
Step one: give away or throw away the lt1. Sell it if you can find someone dumb enough. A decent LS won’t cost any more than the first fried optispark. Especially with forced induction the LS platform is just cheaper easier power. Good luck.
You are such a good motorator builder 🤪🤪🤪🤪! I hope he isn’t going to the track with that converter 🙄🙄🙄🙄! Need some Greg Slack! Hopefully you don’t get all the, same pulley, same supercharger people wanting to know why it makes more power with less boost! Boost is a measure of restriction people! Less PSI means the engine is processing more air! Instead of bottling it up & making pressure!
Megadeath t-shirt 😮. I didn't think I could love this man more, but here we are adding to the list. Symphony of Destruction is my fave metal song ever, and memories are abundant when that song plays.
Saw an interview where you briefly talked about the differences between a hub dyno and a wheel dyno...looked like you could do an entire episode on it...inquiring minds need to know...
