These things are fantastic, good portions too.... maybe they'll open up a place in Canada soon, I can't see them going out of business with how delicious those things are and how competitively priced they are with eating out.

My dad let me help him work on stuff and then when I got older and had my first car which was a 70 Nova. Every time I'd start to work on it he would miraculously show up so I "Wouldn't Screw It Up". One of my favorite memories with him was when he and my mom came home from a shopping trip and he brought home a set of chrome traction bars for it and he couldn't wait to put them on MY car. So there we were at 11:00 pm laying in the driveway installing a set of traction bars.....lol.

You are a great Dad Derek! This takes me back to my Dad doing the same thing with me 50 years ago. We were always wrenching on cars, motorcycles, lawnmowers, chainsaws……..plus he taught me building, electrical, plumbing, masonry when I was Bentleys age. He built a garage and an addition on our house and I was his gopher, mason tender and wire puller and pipe cutter. He always took me fishing, taught me to shoot and hunt. He is now in a wheelchair in a nursing home which breaks my heart. We were still hunting together 12 years ago. Watching you and Bentley work on this truck made my eyes well up thinking about days past with my Dad. Enjoy every moment with those boys Derek ( in which you are without a doubt) because in and instant I went from a 12 year old kid to a 60 year old man. Time is fleeting the older you get the quicker it goes. Those boys are going to be good men soon enough and you will be wrenching with your grand children soon. Enjoy the cruise with your wonderful family. God Bless!

Great father son bonding time!! I lost my father April 2021. We used to work on cars together all the time...he wasn't as nice or patient as Derek is, but him teaching me auto repair has made me a lot of money so far in my lifetime and I've been able to help a lot of people in the meantime. Last year I acquired my father's big block 1967 Cougar, the car he started teaching me auto repair on. I've been tinkering on it since trying to get it back on the road after 10 years of sitting idle. I found out in March of this year that I have a 25 year old son I didn't know I had, he's putting himself through school to becoming an ASE certified mechanic....he even named his son, my grandson, Axel! Can't wait to teach him what I know about cars. Thanks for reminding me of what it was like with dad!

I’ll never forget my Father teaching me how to drive his ‘70 Chevy C10 three on the tree at 13 years old. One of the most important things I ever learned. Second most important was him showing me how to swap my 1st Engine at 16.

It's amazing how wonderful things can be, and how children can be this self-sufficient at 11 years old when they aren't given a screen and ignored. Thank you for these videos :)

I want to thank you Derek. I lost my father before we could start a restoration project together. You have that same “everything will work out just fine” attitude that my father had and I so appreciate that from you. You are a blessing and this generation will cherish that forever. I hope you are having a wonderful day and I thank you again

That smile he had when that engine lit off was the best. Driving around the hay field will fuel dreams, and day dreams for a while. Like you said Bentley is already calling it his truck.

Late to the party again since I'm binge watching the older esipodes, but a guy needs to say that the father/son relationship between you and the tiny human there is amazing. I love how eager he is to literally jump in head first and start spiffin' on these old rigs with his Pops. The fact that he ripped it around the field without incident was equally amazing. You're a great Dad, and the learnins and memories you're giving the kids will last a lifetime. We should all be so fortunate. Furthermore and finally, I'm pretty dang fond of that particular rig....hope to see a lot more of it on the channel here.

Hey Derek I want to say thank you for teaching your boys the way you do. I lost my Dad a year and a half ago due to a stroke. This video brought back so many great memories for me seeing Bentley in the engine bay. You are doing them a great thing by teaching them how to wrench on things. They will never forget the time they spent doing it. You are a great person and father and I absolutely love all your content. Don't change a thing.

Great to see a father pass the torch to his sons! I have 2, 33 yr old "twin" grown sons that I did the same! and are still building together to this day! and even though I have busted knuckle's, and some say a mean look. it always surprises people that I still hug and tell my boys I love them! cause that's what a good- "great" father does! My sons are passing the torch to my grandsons! and are the same with them! Keep GOD and family close and never stop telling thoughts you love, You LOVE THEM! GREAT video keep them coming!
