Brian, your videos are all very well done . . . love the attention to detail with this installation. It's nice to have the thorough explanation as well!
Also again good video. I just saw where the ecu is on my r3 when doing the oil change. I just purchased a full Akrop carbon fiber exhaust pretty excited. Didn't but the commander it's out of stock. Just want the juicy sounds. Am excite
Once again, great install video! That didn't look to crazy. Brain, I would like to see an install video for the Kawasaki 400! Keep the content coming!!
this bike is gonna be so much better with a tune also when I went in for a tune I had one of those maps on it from the website and I got 4hp more with a tune and on an R3 I liked that
Is your tune for pump gas? I assume you have a full system on the bike now. With the map I used my Son Max was able to hit 108.8 mph (GPS timer) on the straight at Grattan here in Michigan. I compared this to another rider on a built R3 race bike with mapping etc... and Max was getting 6 mph more on the straight. To be fair there is a weight difference of 30 - 40 lbs with Max being lighter. If our R3 is 4 hp lower than it could be that would be a welcome change for sure. Will need to look into getting the bike mapped later this year. - Van
yeah its pump gas I use 98 but I think over in the US my 98 is not the same, I don't have a full system I am using a M4 street slayer which I had shipped to Australia from you guys, on the map from the site I hit 175kph but after the tune my new max speed is 187kph (116) max would smash my speed with my weight but this speed is from the speedo but I do still have stock teeth and tire size i have been wanting a speedo healer
hey mate just wondering, im about to flash the ecu myself but seem the only way to do so is to remove all fairings and fuel tank to get to the ECU is this true or am i doing something wrong?
@@sportbiketrackgear that’s awesome to hear!!! I’m running into an issue of when it’s 110+ outside and the bike will just completely shut off after a few minutes. Can’t pinpoint the issue. Only has 1100 miles. No issues if it’s 90 or less outside. Cooling system is intact. But my buddy was thinking vapor lock issue but I’m not too sure.
Where in the world do I find the O2 optimizer?!?!?...I bought my PC V used and it didn't include this...I've looked everywhere...eBay, Amazon, Google, etc...can't find it...or can I rig one using the old sensor plug?
On the 7:40, I see the factory sticker printing that says “made in indonesia” or “manufactured by PT. Yamaha Motor Indonesia”. Does that go for the R3 bike’s frame/chasis only?? or the whole Yamaha R3 motorcycles that are sold in the US are of the Yamaha Indonesia product parts and assembling? ..Just my curiosity since we do not have the R3 available for sale here in Indonesia, instead we have the “Yamaha R25”...which looks exactly the same with the R3 but only with a slight smaller engine displacement (250cc- while the R3 has 340cc displacement)
Is it necessary to remove the oxygen sensor? My power Comander V does not come with the O2 oxygen optimizer, can I use it by connecting the stock one or do I disconnect it?
Es necesario eliminar el sensor de oxigeno? mi power Comander V no trae el optimizador de O2 oxigeno, puedo utilizarlo conectando el de stock o la desconecto?
question: i would like to install velocity stacks, air filter cover and filter, also smog block off plate, and full system SC project on my yzf track bike.. can use this too? or i can only use the ECU flash for it??

I know im massively late to this party but ive just intalled this on my r3 and have realised i dont have an 02 optimizer. Does this mean i just leave the stock 02 sensor in?
@sportbiketrackgear haha yeah I've definitely gone a bit retro now. I've even gone and got the yosh r77 as well, which I also learned has been discontinued. Thanks for the tip Van I will send them a message
So, I just installed the PCV on my 2020 r3. There is only 3 maps listed that does not have the Full Akropovic exhaust and a K&N filter. It lists for a Leo full exhaust and stock filter for 2019. Can we use any of the years prior to 2019 Maps…or would this be a question for Dynojet? Appreciate any advice! Thanks for posting all your different vids!
To be safe I would ask the folks at Dynojet this question. I would use the map that is closest to your set up available from Dynojet for this PCV. - Van
Hi there i just installed the pcv from stg to my 2020 yamaha r3 , every thing is ok on the software no errors when plugged into my laptop , but once i start the engine i get device error blinking red on the software and also on the pcv module the status light blinking red . I checked the error on the software and it comes up with error code 2303 VR Module signal unsync'd , any help would be good , Cheers P.s my pcv didn't come with o2 optimizer Dynojet said to leave the stock o2 plugged in
For this level of product support you will need to reach out to Dynojet directly. Sorry for the slow response here, we were traveling for Max's MotoAmerica debut. - Van
I would suggest reviewing the maps they have available and selecting the one that gets you closest to the performance parts you have on the bike. Look for a full system and air filter map. End of the day there will typically be very little notable difference between one of these maps and a full dyno tune. Sure there are exceptions to this rule, but it holds true for the most part. - Van
You do not have to install a fuel controller with that system if you prefer not to. We rode our STG R3 for quite a while with the M4 system on it before installing the fuel controller and had zero issues. If you want to get the maximum performance from the bike you will need to flash the ecu or install a fuel controller at some point. - Van
Sportbike Track Gear thank you so much for responding. I just ordered my m4 street slayer exhaust from you guys. I can’t wait for it to arrive. Great videos and again thank you for responding. I have been trying to figure out what I need. Have a great day. Keep up the great job with your very informative videos.
Hi, how do you know if the map has successfully transferred or loaded onto the bike? I noticed on your video prior to your hitting the send map button in the map notes section, it already indicates the yoshimura exhaust info and air filter info. I just don’t see any verification indicator of some sort of the map being transferred over to the bike on the video. My apologies as i am new to this pcv device and i’m trying to understand it prior to making a purchase. Thank you
i got a full exhaust M4 system. it comes with single channel plug, while my bike uses a dual channel o2 sensor plug, So i couldn't plug in the o2 sensor
My pcv didn’t come w/ a o2 optimizer & I cant seem to find one online. Any ideas where I can find it online? & is it ok to go ahead and unplug the o2 sensor ? I know it’ll throw a code until I can get the optimizer .
Sportbike Track Gear ONE LAST question. After the install of the pcv, m4 street slayer & k&n filter should I use a higher octane gas or still use factory recommended unleaded? Thanks !
@@gearmeout4666 Negative, use the same fuel you would before making the mods. You would only need to do that if you increase compression or mess with the cam timing. - Van
You can just leave it in the pipe if you want to. This will not cause any sort of problem if you do not have a plug to replace the sensor when you remove it. - Van
Hey, a few months ago I purchased from you guys the m4 street slayer slip on exhaust for my 2020 r3. Now to install I had to cut the cat off, now would that be considered a full system? And also would I need to get it tuned? Thanks
Thanks for the order! You do not have to tune the bike or install a fuel controller with that system. If you are happy with the way the bike performs no need to make any changes. - Van
Sorry we do not measure any of that. The main reason for installing the Power Commander on the R3 was to get the quick shifter on the bike. This item sells for around $350. - Van
ok, i was just interested to see how you would re-route the new O2 sensor located on the back of the Yosh R77, kind of a odd spot... the connector has a plastic clip that seems to fit on one of the chassis hole. And i dont think i could have re-routed it on the 12mm original location because the cable would bend too much.
