You can access the Heppa filter. I'm replacing mine, they are sending me a new one because of the lifetime sticker. Mine was completely black. The clutch was stamped 2004.
I've had my Dyson DC07 since 2006 and have never done anything to it as far as repair. I just keep it clean from internal debris and always clean the filter. The best vacuum I have ever owned.
Nice Dyson. I just got this model in the other day. For what ever reason, the plastic on the ones (purple color) gets very brittle and discolored with age. Besides that, it still works pretty well. I much prefer these over the newer dysons.
I love this Dyson it’s easy to work on Bc it’s one of the more basic units the parts for it are all over Amazon and eBay The only problem with this unit is the plastic gets brittle over time but almost all of them are replaceable with a few screws holding them in place
What you said at 16:27 You literally motivated me to get my DC33 Animal brand new out of its box! I'm gonna film it and upload it on my channel now lol Thanks!
if you want to keep this looking new I advise you keep it out of warm places like the garage. heat will expedite a chemical reaction in ABS plastic that will discolor yellow and become brittle
Can you please tell me how to get the wand out of the hose? The two other videos I watched before this one, the person in question did it slightly out of view of the camera which was ridiculous, because it doesn't allow the viewer to see how it's done. On the plastic handle there doesn't appear to be any switch, knob, button, lever etc that releases the wand from inside the hose. I've tried turning the hose both counterclockwise and clockwise to no available. I tried pulling the handle and hose in separate directions but this doesn't work either, despite the fact that dude in the previous video makes it seem like you could just grasp the handle and effortlessly slide the wand out of the hose.
That post motor filter is easily replaced by the owner. I bought my dc07 in 2001 and with regular cleaning and maintenance it’s still a very strong vacuum. I would love to buy a new in the box like yours, where on earth did you find that?
@@JohnSmithNE3478 , it will if you use it. Look at some videos on post motor replacement, you won't believe how black it can get. Ebay has them for under $5.00.
