Can hear the Victor Wooten influence at such a young age. He’s just mastered everyone’s style from playing over records practiced like hell and now his sound is totally unique. Such a breath of fresh air. Could listen to him literally all day which is something I can’t say of just about most bass players I hear.

This just makes me mad. How is it the coldest freestyle we ever heard from this guy was b4 anybody really knew who he was. I'm switchin to guitar. I give up.
Imagine the scene when he was a complete unknown. He walks into a guitar shop and straps a bass on upside down. Before he plays a note some snarky staff guy comes over, tells him these guitars are for serious players, not kooks, and points him to the cheapo junk section.
@@samwillens3250CB is technically great, but until he forges his own identity he will always be in the shadows of players like this. Hadrien Feraud and Marcus Miller would be a better shout.
@@djentcommunion2422 yeah slow down the video to 0.5x and then go right to 0:22, you can see him pop once with his index, then pop with his middle. And yeah, he blows my mind. I am literally obsessed with his sound and absolute funky groove haha
