Hi, Everyone! I'm back! This is a video I wanted to make for over a year, but, I was kind of burnt out for a while. In this video, I teach you how I sound like one of Eggman's rogue robots, Omega in Audacity! I hope this helps answer the question of how my voice for the character is made, both in acting and effects. I hope that this video can be of some help!

I don't use the editing, but the way you showed the raw voice tracks will help me when I decide to put in Omega or a character like Omega in a voice roleplay I do with friends. This helps because I tend to crack up when something silly happens with Omega.

Obviously, the way the raw audio is said is also important and it's not something a simple filter could do, but it's undoubtedly an important part of an Omega impression.

Yeah, that's very much true. If the acting and base pitch isn't right, then, it's a totally different character with a similar filter

Yeah, you'd think with the amount of Sonic fans there are, there'd be more tutorials about voicing Omega, but, apparently that's not really the case, strangely enough. Anyway, I hope this video is of some help!

Is usually the same, gamma voice is more high and just doesnt use those additional high pitch and low pitch voices like omega, just an robótic voice

I’m not certain how to do it like that myself, however, that sounds like an interesting concept to explore! While I can’t give any advice on how to achieve that, keep looking around! I’m certain you’ll find your answer on how to do it for costume purposes eventually! That said, good luck on your endeavour!

If Voice Mod supports layering two additional tracks like what's shown in the video (like, if one of the duplicates that can be pitched up and the other be pitched down layered with an unfiltered voice), then I think it's possible. If it doesn't support that, then, I think you may be out of luck. I don't use that Voice Mod myself, so, I have no idea if this effect is doable in real time with it

What version of Audacity are you using? I'm using the latest and can't find the noise gate effect.

Oh. Right. The version doesn’t really matter too much. It’s a plugin. You can find it here, I believe: wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Nyquist_Effect_Plug-ins#Noise_Gate Once you have that added to your plugins, pause and take a look at my Noise Gate settings, as they usually help me out. I hope this helps!

Yeah, I like him too. I swear, though, in the games, he sort of seems to be under utilised. Seriously, if you ask me, he has a lot of potential for a good story arc
