E-flite UMX Timber-x flight ends in a crash 

Actually yes, they're very underpowered on 2 cell. I tried once and won't do it again. Less power doesn't make them more docile and novice friendly, just makes them fly like crap without enough power to get you out of trouble. They're designed for 3 cell and turn into a real hotrod on 4 cell, those are the only viable options in my opinion.

No problems with current? My TT UMX starts to disturb after a couple of seconds on full throttle... But that small 2s 280mAh isnt too young...

Fly it on a 3 cell like it was designed to be flown :p

@@CR5rc But you can fly floats AND wheels at your spot! My EDF fleet mostly collect dust. LOL.

My EDF's collect dust as well, the runway is too short to get them back down. I've flown 64mm jets here but they're hard to land (I belly land them so no rollout). I've been tempted to try my twin 64mm A-10 or 70mm Avanti here but don't want to risk them.

The UMX Timber-X is the worst of all the UMX Timber's, if you'd flown them you'd know. I own them all, compared to your ancient Champ I'm sure it's a heck of a lot better but that doesn't change the fact it is the worst UMX Timber they've made so far. I'm not American, seems that your birthright is to make nonsense comments on the internet.

@@RARenfield Really? I don't have to say anything. I don't have to comment at all. I like the EVO better because its easier to fly...which by the way is what everybody thinks that has flown both...including CR5.

Don't get yer knickers in a twist, dude. Having said that, I have zero plans to replace my UMX Turbo Timber with the Evo. The UMX Timber X handles everything that I can throw at it. And the UMX TT is where I go to relax. Everyone that has flown both has bought both. Except you. They might be a tad biased regarding their purchase. No one likes to admit their folly. I'm surprised you've had time to interview ever single person who owns both planes. Pretty amazing.

@@RARenfield Yeah, I am. You'd be amazed how many times we get accused of being biased no matter how much we make sure what we say and what the plane does matches. We work SO hard to make it easy to follow along, and see that. So yeah, when my integrity gets challenged...it pisses me off. You are dealing in text here dude, there is no expression for me to see, or tone of voice to hear. I can't tell if you're poking fun or being a jerk in this format unfortunately, and a lot of trolls use a "lol" to get away with saying whatever they want. Not that you are a troll of course. Sorry if I miss interpreted your intentions. Of course I haven't talked to everyone with both, but so far everyone that has posted about both in some way (YT, RCG) prefers the EVO. The TT is great, I'd keep it too until it quit, then get the updated one. Also...HH wants to sell both. I suppose if I was a cheerleader I'd say they both are perfect in every way. I'm just saying I like the EVO better. I like that its still capable, but easier to fly. Anyway, sorry I misread your comment, have a good one.

I'll put it out there that I like the new Evolution a lot more than the X model. The X is more fun for aerobatics but all the other Timber models fly better when you want them to be an airplane.
