Thank you for this detailed video! I was hoping to make something similar, but totally lack the time currently. And yes Simhub is a game changer! Literally 😂
Amazing! But could you please one day position your camera completely on the side to appreciate the speed of the surge? Maybe also a different race where you need to use the braking pedals much more. There are not enough videos on the net where we can see the surge in action. Thanks in advance! You have done a great job.
Just activated the free trial for motion ... already an srs owner so gonna see if simhub can dial in better? Particulary tl. Think your settings are a little high for me but looks sweet. Loving the eracing set ... adding surge & tl was such a good choice (followed you're guide but modded bits heree & there). Thinking about converting to add front tl for understeer next year once ive paid off what ive spent already 😅
I'll have to try this. SRS leaves me slightly frustrated at times. Some movements are better on some axis and some are not as detailed on other axis. Thank you for this video.
Interestingly Thanos state "Latency as low as 1ms in SRS", presumably latency is not as good in SImhub motion, but your tests don't seem to find the latency an issue and other factors of SRS negatively impact the immersion.
Thank you for your video! :) When you steer left and right and the TL actuator is also moving left and right, is there still enough movement left in case you really lose grip? Have a nice sunday!
@@simul8master Just one question about the movement. When you turn right, your TL pushes the rig to the left and vice versa. I know that this replicates what the car would do. However, when you turn right, shouldn't the TL also go to the right to replicate being pushed into your left car door? Or does it feel correct the way you dialed it in? Unfortunately, I have to wait until next year to build the same system as you. I'm really thankful for your tutorials! Thanks in advance, and have a nice week! :)
@@simul8mastercan you tell me what the distance is from tip to tip of your left and right screen please? And what angle are they set at and distance from centre screen I would like to go from Triple 32” to Triple 42” or 48” but need to make sure I have the space due to my Sim room being small. I’ve just received the RSmega4u kit from Eracing lab and can’t wait to get it on the rig but I’m currently painting the walls as we speak as I wanted to make it a nice room even if small. Next project is the loft which I just need a carpet and walls putting up which has much much bigger space so perfect for my Rig I forgot one last question When you install the Thanos 4u Controller (I know you have the other one) do you know if it comes with software to change settings in it as the 4u Controller has no display? Thank you for all you help in your videos they have helped me greatly and what made me push the buy button. ❤
@@Simlife101 69 inches side to side. @tonicgr #tonicgr can answer the question about Thanos controller. I will find the other measurements for you in a bit.
@@simul8masterdo you have any places I could get a go base line profile from for the 4 actuator kit and IRacing ? I’m struggling to get it to feel good.
I own a Champion-GT and a Tension-R. I switched to Simhub for motion like three weeks ago and, like you said, will never look back to SRS. Simhub motion is so superior, it's hard to believe. Just one question: Have you tried or found a way to incorporate the Tension-R into Simhub? I'm aware that you need 6 actuators with TL and surge, so this won't finally be an option for you, but maybe you tried just for fun and out of curiosity...
I want a motion 2. Im between the rsmega+ and the Gt champion. I head that gt was not compatible with the GT. After your comment i asume it is. Is there something i should think about buying a GT?
@@SnakkersI’ve just received the RSmega kit from Eracing lab and WOW for the price nothing can beat it. I’ve also tried Dbox and tbh I prefer Eracing lab and now with Simhub I feel absolutely zero delay it’s amazing. Thank you Eracing lab Simon and Alex. Delivery took 3 and 5 days 2 parcels to the UK
@@Simlife101 ya. I think i want the the rsmega ultimate. The only thing i need are the building plans for the traction loss frame and surge. What size i need.
Thank you, I bet still having traction loss adds more to immersion. I eventually one to do a double traction loss and will revisit your tutorials when I’m ready to start.
@@simul8master Nice. Thank you so much for this. Just finished mine using all your videos, and I am currently using simhub. So good. Honestly wish simhub would add flight of some type, but this thing is a beast. I couldn't have done it without you.
Hey! It’s about 10.5 inches. Please note that this only include the TL and surge on top of each other. Does not include the actuators installed. With actuators installed, you are at 28.5 inches.
thank you for your information, srs has removed me from their discord after calling them out their poor after support and false ads on the license especially how expensive they are but as i told them they wont last as another platform will out class them soon. again many thanks, not sure if you are in the eracing lab whatsapp group would like to chat you if you are
@Simcadepro To be honest SRS have always been expensive even with their hardware. They always seemed like a company taking advantage of the fact no one else was offering similar items or software but I’m so happy the past few years has changed the Sim racing hobby thanks to cheaper high quality products coming out at reasonable prices which has made these companies either change and move with the times or just disappear which is also a shame I don’t like to see any business go bad
