Looking back Jaron feels is Addison's disease story may have began before 2020 when things started to go downhill. He was plagued by continuing "MORNING SICKNESS" and other miscellaneous symptoms but continued on with life. A mountain biking accident lead to a kink in his neck and a doctors visit. Blood work reveals failing organs and electrolyte imbalances.
Months of tests with no answers as his body continued to get weaker and sicker. His 6 foot 6 inch body now only 130 lbs and unable to stand in the shower. After over 40 ER visits Jaron was admitted to the hospital for the second time hoping to find a cause to his grave situation. Finally near death with almost non existing blood pressure and pulse Jaron was finally diagnosed with Addison's Disease.
His story is INCREDIBLY inspiring and needs to be heard.
From near death at 23 years old Jaron shares how he has learned to EVOLVE and RECALIBRATE his life to THRIVE with Addison's Disease.
A message everyone with ADRENAL INSUFFICIENCY needs to hear and live by.

Also in Canada, sick at the same time as you during COVID... Was diagnosed with zero cortisol, atrophied adrenals as well. Lost 20 pounds in two months, had the golden tan, have had a few crises since, etc. Following a somewhat similar journey in my part of the country. I've shared your story with my family and friends to help them better understand.

Thank you, Jill. It's great to have this captured. As his parents, there were some extremely scary moments in those months prior to diagnose. We have learned so much and it creates so much compassion for those who live with a life altering illness. We are so grateful for individuals, like yourself, who give so much to bring understanding to an easily overlooked disease. We still have PSTD every time we drive by the Hospital but are so thankful for their care.
