That's a bummer, I had a couple parts wear out on my Equalizer Hitch, I called and sent them pictures and they shipped me replacement parts for free :) . Maybe your hitch company will do the same for you, its worth a try?
well? Now we're on the road, so I may give that a try when we get home. I think I'm going to have to replace the L Bar that is wallowed out. Just HOLD together for this trip Please? LOL
I have a Nissan Titan V8. I have always used the stabilizers Matt. But I MAY try towing without them some time. The camper is a dual axle, so there should be very little sway to begin with.
I tow a 2109S as well. I had bought a 600/6000 E-4 Equalizer hitch but sold it because I felt it was too light for my trailer. I figure my tongue weight is over 600 lbs. Do you think that might be why you are seeing excessive wear?
According to my camper weight, I'm well within limits. I think they just made the pin too small and too short. Up and down movement is the issue. Too much play in the pin in my opinion, causing the upward "crash" of the pin into the bar.
