Good morning. When you are doing this for another car pls let us know the block is A 005 or A 006 or even it is A 009, numbers of recorded activation of its SBC pump. More details will be so much better. Reservoir pressure vs pretension pressure vs 3 other downstream pressure etc etc during brake pedal depress to 18mm. For my 2006 E200k with 205k km. I put key FOB to position number 2 without starting engine. I pressure brake pedal for 5 seconds and release it for 2 seconds. If during pressing the brake pedal and if the SBC pump comes on I will hold down the brake pedal until SBC pump auto stop. I repeat the above many times and noted that for every one time of SBC pump activation I could press & release the brake pedal for a total of 5 times. In Nov 2022 my mechanic changed the reservoir (visit workshop! alert appears with symbol of brake) but somehow did not manage to clear C249F code until another workshop cleared it yesterday. This workshop was too busy to record the values in the scanner. Will look for ways to send SBC to England in 2024 or 2025 to rebuild it. Regards.
