I totally identify with Fab, having a conversation with friends and having a deep and philosophical thought that ends up being ignored and answered with an awkward silence.
i had no idea so many people would like this comment 🥺 if you are ever in need of an extra dose of 5guys, i hosted a zoom halloween in july where i dressed up as julian casablancas himself lol. it’s one of my latest vids basically bootleg version of this show but nonetheless worth a watch if you like anything strokes, voidz, or spooky
If you guys read the comments Albert, Julian, Fab, Nick & Nikolai I just want to say thanks for existing and saving lives with your music because you guys saved mine
Albert: I sent something like that to you though Fab. Didn't I? I was like one morning I was doing my breathing and I was just thinking and I was like, it's so easy to go apart but if you can stay together and just still do stuff and be a band and you can age with each other. There's something pretty magical about that. And I was like, man I really hope that that's us too. ________ I do hope that this happens to them 🙂💙
You have to listen to first impressions of earth again today to realize how much he is the masterpiece of the strokes career. The technical, emotional progression of the compositions. The velocity, precision and virtuosity of the instruments, like a mad, furious cavalcade, pure class julian vocalizations, all this is staggering. Some songs are miracles of emotion, of power, of rage. Obviously, this complexity and this darker and more sophisticated, more hard rock side, is not as instantaneous as the youthful freshness and nonchalant cool of is this it. But in terms of musicality, it was a huge improvement. That they no longer achieved or sought after, returning to more pop compositions, but no less poisonous and always melancholy bitter sweet.
Jules saying, "Nobody knows what you're talking about," and the whole band laughing after that is me and my friends when we can't understand something LMAO
@@SkywalkerSam64 ah, I thought she and Julian were ah... pretty close. At least that's what I heard. So it might be a bit awkward. But, yeah, it would be great to hear her stories about life on the road with the Strokes.
You can tell Raphael Gordon vibed a lot better with them. This guy seems pleasant but a little more reserved and cold. First Impressions has some underrated tunes but their rapport definitely translates into how the albums came across.
Sorry in advance if we seem like spamming. We just wanted to tell you about our music channel. We are Surftons, a post-punk indie band. If you don't mind, please check our latest tracks on our youtube channel. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Have a nice day. ❤️
Julian wanted to take Razorblade off of the album 😦 but that's literally my favorite song on that album... Also, I can't wait for the interview with the producer for Angles!
These are amazing insights with the strokes as well as insight with music and sound production. It's about having fun, loving life and ways to create art for people to love...
To be honest i regret the times that passed without catching up with you guys for all these years but thank god i came across to you once again since highschool and this is the best thing ever!!! Will cherish you guys in my heart forever.. Thank you so much for everything my family.. one love yo ❤️💙
Thankyou Guys! 🙏 loves this and hearing the details of the making of. David Kahne seems like such a sweetheart of a guy, no wonder that album was sooooo goooood!
FIOE has been probably my personal favorite record of The Strokes, and this is the first time I gotta see David Kahne, the man behind the album. Thanks a lot guys for doing this series, so much fun and knowledge, haha! Andy Wallace thing and the plants play drums are golden! XD
Recently I feel that I've missed u so much. You are so important to me since college. From the bottom of my heart I am telling that seeing u alive at a concert is in my bucket list.I am serious. But you don't come to Turkey, I understand the reasons... You are so right. Love you...
This was so fucking funny & adorable. Kahne seems so meticulous & passionate about his work & it doesn’t surprise me that FIOE WAS LITERALLY THE BEST ALBUM FIGHT ME PLEASE
